Visited on a Thursday just before noon. Parking was a bit tricky since Rise Coffee shares a lot with a mechanic and the training club it's inside of. The space itself is bright, airy, and has a nice chill vibe with light music and a few tables to sit and work. I came for their fall menu (saw it on Instagram) but was told it had already been discontinued -- a little disappointing since it's still October. I ended up getting the condensed latte instead, and it was honestly delicious. Smooth, balanced, and just sweet enough from the condensed milk. There's only one size for drinks, and mine came to $7.36 after tax, which I think is a bit pricey since it's around a small/tall size at Starbucks or Tim's. Still, great coffee and good vibes overall 4/5

I followed other Yelper's reviews to find this small cafe shop. I totally agree that it's a hidden gem. I would never expect to find a nice cafe in Richmond Hill away from the main plaza and street. It is a café affiliated with the Rise training center. You can see a lot of athletic people come in and out. Nonetheless, most customers are remote workers. Almost all of them carry a laptop and work here. The coffee is nice, and the tea is especially good; matcha and hojicha are definitely worth trying. It has a cozy vibe, I think it's a perfect place if you are a remote worker and want to alter the workspace on and off

Visited this cute little coffee shop. Dog friendly (btw!). A quiet, cozy coffee shop with lots of work space and tables to do independent or group work. It is connected to a private gym. I ordered the forest latte which is a hojicha latte topped with matcha foam. Flavour was toasty, light and topped with a hint of matcha :) once mixed I did personally find that it was very milk forward. Could come through with a little more flavour as I found the milk overpowering drowning out the hojicha and matcha flavour the more it was mixed in. I would definitely come back and try other drinks. Service - friendly and fast. Came in the morning, no line, probably 2 tables were utilized and people working on their laptops. A beautiful lil private gem of a coffee shop. If you're in the area looking to work, or catch up with a friend, or drop by with your dog, come visit!

I'm on a coffee run all the time, so I get excited when I try new cafes especially ones that are not too far away.. lol Randomly found this cafe online, so decided to check it out. The cafe is located on Newkirk Road (commercial area), which is close to the Richmond Hill GO station. The cafe is tucked inside a small gym (and auto) plaza, right next to the RH Food Bank. Parking spaces are very limited too. The cafe was bigger than I thought. What surprised me was the toilet sign. The toilet sign was infront of the gym entrance, so I found it kinda odd lol. Service was great but I stood in line for few minutes because I think one of the trainers wouldn't stop talking and was holding up the line (without ordering). We got the Forest Latte and Iced Americano. I could taste the freshness of the matcha cream, which paired well with the hojicha. I wish they had dirty matcha though..The americano was normal as usual. I think they mainly serve those going to the gym and nearby businesses. I wouldn't have known if I didnt search for nearby coffee shops.

This is a cute little hidden café that's easy to miss, as it's connected to a fitness gym the sign outside says Rise Training Club, but the café is part of the same building. The space can get a bit loud at times because of the gym. We tried a hot latte and an iced latte, both of which were good, the coffee was strong and enjoyable. They do offer Wi-Fi, and we were able to get some work done, though I'd say the environment is better suited for takeout or for relaxing with a friend or small group rather than longer study sessions. The café itself is charming, with a cozy couch, a few small tables, and one larger table. The staff was very friendly, and overall, we had a nice, small study session here.

This place is quite hidden, we almost missed it. Inside, it was clean, bright and calm. The interior was decorated beautifully! There are quite a few tables and seats, as well a couch to sit on. What I really liked about this place is that they had a variety of seats (great for if you want a different vibe). When we walked in, it was just us as customers, so it was nice and quiet. Onto the food: - Maple Tart: the worker reheated it for us, and it was so so good! Not too sweet. - Molasses Cookie: it was nice and chewy and not too sweet. - Cream Matcha Latte: very little matcha flavour, also no sweetener, but the worker was nice and provided us with a little cup of syrup. - Hojicha Latte: very little Hojicha flavour - Earl Grey Cream Tea: We ordered this thinking there would be like an earl grey flavoured cold foam, because it stated cream. To our surprise it was just tea, but that was our fault. We were not aware that there was a tea called earl grey cream. Honestly this ended up being the drink we liked most. If you're going for an aesthetic vibe, this can be a place.

Rise Coffee is a true hidden local find of a coffee shop! It's inconspicuously located in the lobby area of a local gym in an industrial/business park area - a place that even if you drove by, you might not notice it. But enter in, and you are transported to a spacious, boho, minimalist cafe. Think long tables and cozy sofas to sit & work at, and rattan, wooden decor pieces. The owner is super friendly & knows his coffee! I could tell he took time & care in crafting each drink, and while you're not getting the fancy latte art, speciality drinks, or unique espresso roasts to select from, there's something really nice about the simplicity in their coffee. The flavour is full-bodied and balanced, not too acidic or bitter. If I had anything to be concerned about, it would be the very limited parking outside and the potentially noisy environment during times where the gym has classes, given that the cafe area is right outside the gym.

Heard about this cafe for a while and finally came to try. Interior was super nice and spacious. They had a few seats and tables inside so it would be a great place to study or have hangouts. I tried the matcha latte, it was $7.91 after tax, which is a bit pricey but tasted pretty good.

The only fruit they had was mango and strawberries. We opted for a Mango Bingsu, based on the photos displayed and we enjoy the sweetness and softness of mango. The bingsu we received was topped with what can ONLY be described as FROZEN mango and still not yet defrosted. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think that it would be served with frozen mango which is usually used for blending smoothies!! My partner did not want to return the barely edible bingsu. The favourite on the dessert was the single small scoop of green tea ice-cream which formed the "leaf" of the strawberry decoration. I truly do recommend getting your bingsu fix elsewhere. I won't be returning. The store is located in the eatery section of H Mart, with ample parking outside in the plaza. PS on further reflection of my review, perhaps I was expecting fresh mango and nowhere on the menu did it specify that the Mango Bingsu is served with fresh mango. Lesson learned.

I tried 2 of their roll cakes and 6 mochi and can confirm that their desserts aren't too sweet. Their mochi is also amazing - delicious flavours and the mochi skin is super thin. I would say it's even better than the infamous Sasaki Pastry in J-Town. Beware that they do run out of stock quickly, so it's best to either order ahead or go early. They also only allow preorders for their pancakes, which I'll do next time! The girl at the counter recommended the Nutella banana mochi, and even though I don't really like Nutella, it might have been my favourite one!! The fruity ones also have real fruit - strongly recommend strawberry and mango.

When I drove here the first time, I used Waze and didn't arrive successfully. Whether using a driving app, such as Google Maps or Waze, it led me to the wrong building. Both referenced building A. The address has this store being a part of building D. It's basically the building across from A, but the east side. In other words, you are driving along the third-last aisle that's parallel to Leslie. Waze has corrected the issue. Google Maps hasn't. Use Waze to get here. There were plenty of parking spots in front of the store. It was shaded there. I backed into a spot both times and walked in. I got a different female staffers on both visits. They were both helpful and warm. I have had the matcha KitKat mochi, which had bits of KitKat. Each mochi is individually enclosed in a box. It feels like opening a jewellery box. The mochi is delicate and a decent size. I am not a huge whipped cream person. However, the KitKat was broken up into two pieces and surrounded by the whipped cream. The filling was amazing! It was light and yummy. The mochi had matcha powder on top. It had a subtle matcha taste. The mochi was delicate, but still strong enough to hold in the filling. It was so soft and almost malleable. It was the best mochi that I have had in eons! This visit, I got a six-pack of these mochi flavours: - Mango - Pineapple coconut - Lychee - Golden kiwi - Nutella banana - Strawberry banana If you get six or more mochi, you save a bit. If you pay with cash, the tax is waived off. The mango mochi was awesome! It had diced mango mixed in with the whipped cream. It was dreamy. I got to sample a strawberry marshmallow bar during my first visit. It's not really a bar. It's more of a square. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was slightly sweet. The marshmallow is an experience. It's not squishy like a typical marshmallow. It's crispy on the outside, but softish and moist inside. It's pretty cool. It's not quite dehydrated, but it's halfway there. I got the honeydew marshmallow bars in a little bag last time. They had a natural sweetness to it thanks to the honeydew. It was so good. This time, I got a jar of strawberry marshmallow bars. They still taste as yummy as the first time I had one. Delicious! I ended up getting a couple of cake rolls during my first visit. Both flavours, the taro lychee and ube coconut, were still available this return visit. I rattled off everything that I had bought the last time that the nice woman during my most recent visit gave me a chocolate Oreo cake on the house. Wow! I wasn't expecting that kind gesture at all. The chocolate Oreo cake is decadent. There's chocolate pudding in the middle that is divine! I loved the other two flavours, but the chocolate Oreo is now my new favourite flavour. This place accepts credit and debit cards as payment methods. I used a credit card both times. You can tip if you'd like. All desserts are slightly sweet, with the mochi being a touch sweeter than the cake rolls. If you are like me who doesn't like overly sugary items, the desserts at this store are for you. This place is such a gem. I originally had one mochi. It was not enough! I wanted more and returned to indulge some more. If you love mochi and unique desserts, like marshmallow bars, come here. You won't be disappointed. (333)

MANGO PANCAKE 芒果班戟 - 8.99 This was so good, especially the thin and elastic skin that wrapped the contents (cake and whipped cream). You can watch the staff preparing the dough in the kitchen, and while they add your toppings at the counter. Idk if they somehow learned about it being a birthday visit, or this is usual, but we got a baker's dozen. I'll take that puff instead of a cherry on top for sure, because they were delicious. We both opted for coffee based cold drinks but they have slushees, fruity and I think some tea options. The coffee was nice and strong without tasting bitter. The seating was a little odd, cute little stools in line with the honeycomb decor as opposed to chairs. The space felt really open, like your conversation can be heard all around.
