There is an up charge of one dollar for marinara sauce! This should be free and come standard with this menu item.

I have been coming to this location inside of UTC Mall for 3 1/2 years. When I first started coming here around Christmas of 2020 The prices were extremely reasonable, the ingredients were fresh and the restaurant was busy all of the time! We are talking a 30 to 40 minute wait just to get your food. Since this time I have seen more turnover than you could imagine. We are talking 7 or 8 different managers in this period of time, not to mention countless other employees that have come and gone, only a few have managed to stick around. In the past few weeks, I have stopped in here to get either a small side, salad, and or a basic cheese pizza or cheesy sticks because only the basics because prices have gone through the roof! They are now charging a Dollar just to have marinara sauce with your "breadsticks"!!!! This is unbelievable you mean you would not include this in the price of your cheesy breadsticks or whatever they are called? If you want cheese on your salad or on your pizza it is an additional $2.60 for literally a small handful of shredded cheese in your hand!!! Are you kidding me??? Even the salads are so awful like the one I had today I couldn't eat it. The lettuce is wilted the tomatoes and onions don't taste right! This is a poorly run company a poorly managed location and I would strongly recommend going anywhere else other than here! For the price of one of their Small personal size pizzas, you could get a pizza that would serve 6 people from Papa John's, Pizza Hut or anywhere else. And I should mention that the pizzas are now about 20% smaller than what they were three years ago! Yep they are charging $3 - $5 dollars more for them! And don't believe the sign that talks about building your own pizza for a certain price. Everything here is à la cart and you will pay extra for I mean everything!

A clever concept Rise Pies offer pizza quickly made while you wait. They have several pizza suggestions and will also make a pizza however you want. I selected their Supreme, easier for me to decide at the pizza level and not pick and choose individual ingredients. They had a couple of crust choices, sauce choices, and many toppings. You watch, or instruct, as they construct your pie, they pop it into a pizza oven, and it is ready in a few minutes. I found the staff positive and helpful. It wasn't my first visit, so I already knew the process and the visit went well. I timed my visit from when I first spoke with a person until I left the counter with my pizza. While it took a little longer than I expected at just under 10 minutes, the good news is it took less than 10 minutes to get a hot out of the oven custom made pizza. And it was very good. The pizza had a thin crust and a good spread of toppings and cheese. A customer behind me even asked if his pizza could be cooked a little longer for a crispier crust, so not only do you have control over how the pizza is made, you can also have a say in how the pizza is cooked. I had read a review talking up the meatballs. You can order a side of Vernon's meatballs, which I did, and they were excellent. The two large meatballs in a sauce, and my personal sized pizza, was plenty of food for me tonight. Rise Pies is conveniently located inside UTC down by Macy's.

Neat concept in Pizza. They don't sell by the slice. It's a build your own pie, and each pie serves 1 or two. Sure they have combos they already have made up, but they also offer you the chance to build your own. The husbeast and I took full advantage of this. He got a pie with god knows what and Jalapeños on it and I went for a pepperoni and black olive. The two pies and two drinks ran a total of $23.00 mind you, his pie had about 6 toppings. Mine had 2. They were baked in a 600* oven and came out in about 10 minutes. For me, They could have baked it a bit longer, as I didn't feel the center was fully done, but the taste was good. I took half home. The husbeast ate his in one sitting. One thing to note, they do offer eat in, but there isn't a lot of seating.

We were there pretty fast service, my picky son loved the cheese Pizza, sauce taste so real!! Clean place and social distance is not hard to practice during COVID-19, we would definitely go back.

Stopped into the mall for a bite and some shopping while in the area. Looked for the mall food court and couldnt find one. Found this place down on one end with a few other places to eat. It's similar to Blaze but with a little extra offerings. Plus it only takes them 160 seconds to make and bake your pizza from the moment you place your order. We decided to get Vernons Meatballs (Two fresh 100% Beef Meatballs Slow Cooked in Vernon's Classic Sauce, served with fresh Ricotta Cheese. Try them with Rise Hot Peppers in Oil, available upon request.) The meat balls were just the right size. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza. The sauce is a bit on the mild spicy side but really good. The crust was a good thickness and crispness. This appears to be a new mall. Be prepared to hunt for a good parking space on busy days.

A very confusing menu board. Vernon's Meatballs were an OK value for $7.59 but $3.69 for a 20 oz. Pepsi is a total ripoff!

Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and whether you sit inside or outside, you're in for something special. Now for the best part... the pizza. We eat pizza about once a week and it's my husband's favorite food. We brought our granddaughter with us, and pizza is her favorite too. She immediately knew what she wanted: mushrooms and pepperoni. Done. As for us? We had no idea where to start. We ordered the Wise Guy: vodka sauce base, sesame seed crust, spicy soppressata, ricotta, fresh basil, and Calabrian chili hot honey. We also asked our server for their favorite recommendation and ordered the Vodka-Roni: vodka sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, burrata cheese, and fresh basil. Were we dreaming? This is hands down the best pizza we have ever had anywhere in the world. New York pizza? Sorry... step aside. You've officially been removed from our top three. They are now #1. This was the most flavorful pizza we have ever eaten. I'm usually not particularly picky about pizza. My husband, however, is a pizza connoisseur. Going forward, every pizza will now be judged against these. We live in Polk City and only travel down this way every few months or so, but this place is now officially a destination. We would absolutely go out of our way for this pizza. And can we talk about the sesame seed crust? Where have you been all my life? Absolute genius. The staff were incredibly kind, full of suggestions, helpful with leftovers, and made the experience even better. And finally... the chocolate-dipped cookies. Wow. Some places serve pizza. The appetizer was really good but I think it could have been elevated a notch if the dip was more of a lemon base dipping sauce. The pizzas were both thin and very tasty, nice tomato base, I liked the little difference of crust (thin & crunchy) compared to your normal softer crust on an Italian wood fired pizza. I like when I'm able to have preferences on pizza crusts on any given day. I would like to go back and try something else next time to see what this little spot has to offer. At $15 it was a reasonable sized pour compared to others in Sarasota. 8/10 We got two orders and split them. This was our first visit so "Rich M" was VERY attentive and we bantered about many items and settled on these two. Calabrian wings : Wood-fired, calabrian chili, honey, garlic, parmigiano reggiano, pistachio gremolata . This was very nicely presented and cooked sufficiently. My wife makes just about the best wings I have ever had. So when she gets wings out its up against the wall tough competition. These were very tasty wings. the gremolata is full featured and flavored. The wings interior and skin could have been cooked longer. Not undercooked but not crispy and moist. In contrast the wing tips, outer edges and other areas were actually burned/charcoaled. Burnt. Of course the burnt charcoal flavor that went with it. As my wife was muttering...... LOW and SLOW. This type of charring process produces compounds (Heterocyclic Amines or HCAs) that the WHO and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classifies as Group 2A (probable) or Group 2B (possible) carcinogens. The big pizza oven looks lovely, but is a tool in the hands of the chef. 6/10 Burrata Pizza : Stracciatella, cherry tomato, arugula, parmigiano reggiano, evoo (v) This pizza arrived and looked as individual and interesting as it tasted! Magnificent. The arugula and the stracciatella and parmigiano was a flavorful home run. Really nice flavor and composition. Like the wings, the edges of the pizza crust and the top in many places where burnt in numerous places to the point of not being edible. The pizza was perfectly cook and still would have been fine maybe 1 or 2 minutes LESS. The "crust" was no fully edible without having the ash and charcoal flavor overwhelm the palate. the rest/most of the pizza was truly unique and awesome!!!! 9/10 We need to check this out again and try a few more things! Nice spot with some simple issues/details that can be remedied easily - easily 5 star.
