The good thing first we have a loaner well 3 different ones of them. Our Expedition went into the shop for transmission and about a week later service guy called and said it needed a tune up (tune up not covered on warranty but cost about 1000 dollars)at 84,000 miles. Service told me it had a miss fire nothing wrong with the transmission I never had a miss fire when I was driving it. Soon as I said go ahead because I trusted the service department . I was told the next day the transmission tech saw something on the code reader/scanner that he didn't like so it has been in the shop since 5/12/26. Wife got a rock chip in the windshield in one of the loaner cars now having to file a claim on insurance so another 500 deductible out of my pocket. So 11 weeks with out our family car and around $1500 out of pocket for warranty work. I'm a person on disability I don't have money just lying around. Also this is the 2nd time it has been in the shop for transmission the first time was 4/23/25. It was in the shop for 2 months. Will it be a third time we'll see. Truck took three weeks to repair. Service guy said they had to hand build the driveshaft. I don't think that's true but could be. The total they gave me was $3700+. When insurance got involved it went down to $3250. Weird they can't screw them over but they can you. When I picked it up they hadn't even run through the wash. There is a reason that this service department has a little over 2 stars, I would give them -5 if I could. I dropped my car off early Monday morning because the defroster was malfunctioning. I was told that I would have a diagnosis in "about an hour." In an hour I returned to the customer service desk, "It has not been looked at, give us another hour." Long story short, I just picked it up, it had still not been looked at late Tuesday afternoon, a full week and a day later. Not only are they slow, but they are disrespectful and dismissive. The mechanic told my husband that he was not inclined to speak to me about my car because "women don't understand how these things work." I was in the Army, I know more about how an engine works than a lot of people I know of both genders. Both my husband and I called numerous times, only to be told that because we did not buy a car from them, we were low priority. I ended up having to pay for a rental car for the week because I needed to get to work. I am new to my job, I cannot afford to have no transportation. Every time we called we were told, someone would call us back. No one ever did. This experience has turned me off to ford anything. I was assured by the service manager that they would "make it right." Their version is sheepishly handing back a set of keys without saying a word. I am out 8 hours of pay and $700 for a rental car. Never again. I am buying a Chevy. read more

As I approached, she didn't even bother to greet me, stand up or anything. After I spoke to her, she did direct me to someone else, when I asked if she could help me. Next, to be brief.... I left a review that was nothing but honest. My last name was wrong twice on the paperwork. The dealership was unable to locate the second key to which they informed me that they would call me. They did not. Also it took almost a month to get the title. Paul Barrett sales manager called me upset regarding the review. During the minute long call he accused me of lying and then hung up on me. I have witnesses to the phone call from Paul Barrett as well as the experience the day I took possession of the vehicle. When my husband went to pick up the title and the key. Was done so completely unfair on trading two great vehicles in! after getting into a very pricey Ford Expedition for it to have a ton of problems, I go back to the dealership after the sales guy said I could look for a different vehicle / or get the expedition into the shop and they would put me in a loaner. long story short the finance manager raised his voice and treated me like trash after we have spent several thousands dollars just in the last year with them not mention the last years of being an loyal customer! they sale me an unreliable vehicle that I did not like, only had for 1 week told them I would swap for the car I just traded them in and he wanted to treat me like a dog!!! I only called to get a quote because my husband wanted a third estimate. I told them person the vehicle information and what needed to be fixed. No explanation of what was goin on as the car has already been diagnosed. I just needed a price quote. I was questioned about why I would want that done. When I said a ford dealership had diagnosed it and I just wanted a quote I was told two things. Based off what I told them...it wasn't the problem. (Wait...I didn't tell you what the car was doing!!! I only said what the mechanic told me.) That was impossible. AND their prices would be identical to any and all ford dealerships so they didn't need to work it up for me. ***** UPDATE: Two weeks since calling and emailing Kevin Shatley, the General Manager, and have yet to receive any attempt to contact me.*****. Do yourself a favor and take the time to drive to Landers Ford or McLarty Ford for any service that you may need completed. My vehicle was placed in the service center here in June due to a check engine light, overheating, parking brake light, and low tire pressure light. I was contacted several days later and informed it was ready for pick up. Doubting that they had completed the repairs, I went out and turned the vehicle on. One out of 4 indicator lights had been resolved and the rest remained in the state in which they received it. They kept the vehicle and called the following day stating they had to order a part. After the vehicle was completed, it was parked at the house the following week while I was out of state on vacation. Upon return, the first day back in the vehicle, it begin overheating. I reluctantly took the vehicle back to Riser solely because I was concerned it was directly related to their previous repairs. I was informed the engine suffered catastrophic failure and required replacement. It was covered under an extended warranty and would require inspection by the warranty company. The vehicle went into the service department on 7/6/18. I received a call on the 12th of July stating they were requiring disassembly authorization and contacted them on the 13th, around noon, to approve. The warranty company received a call from Katie, the service writer, on July 18th, stating that authorization had been given. The warranty company sent their inspector back out and approved the repairs on July 19th and informed Katie they would be shipping a replacement engine from LKQ and it would be a roughly 5 day shipping period. I was told the repairs would take roughly a week to a week and a half, following the engines arrival, despite the warranty company and a another Ford service center stating it was a 12 Labour Hour job and should take no more than 2 days. Two weeks later I contacted Katie for a status update because I had not heard anything and was told that the engine arrived and they were going to order the parts to install it now. The parts obviously should have been ordered while the engine was being shipped. 6 weeks after the received the vehicle, I finally received a call that my vehicle was completed but that the warranty company wasn't paying for more than 12 days rental and I would be required to pay. I informed Katie that I would not be paying for delays that were created due to the shops negligence and was told she understood. I arrived several days later to pick up the vehicle and was informed my vehicle would not be released until I paid the roughly $500 in rental car charges. I informed Katie that I did not rent a vehicle from them, was not offered a rental, was not offered assistance in obtaining a rental, and they had nothing to do with my rental vehicle. She informed me "that's fine. I just call Hertz and tell them we aren't paying for anything and you can pay for it all". I stated that would be fine. Unable to do anything because it was a weekend, I went ahead and paid. Upon review of the invoice, I determined that the dealership (which is tax exempt for rentals ) had billed me for the taxes on the rental including the days that were billed to them despite their invoice from the rental agency not billing taxes to the dealership. I left the dealership and noticed a grinding sound that was loud enough to indicate that the vehicle had not been test driven following the repairs and the vehicle underpinning had not been fastened back on and was dragging on the road. Monday morning I contacted Jonathan, the service manager, requesting a return call to discuss the issues with the vehicle and my problems with the service writer and when I had not received any attempt to return my call or communicate, I emailed Kevin, the dealerships General Manager, requesting 10 minutes of his time to discuss the disappointing series of events, apathetic employees, and subpar service levels that are standard within their service department. It has now been 8 hours since my attempt to contact the GM and I have not received a response. I am now out nearly $1500 for a rental expenses that are a direct result of the dealership and have a vehicle that still isn't repaired after spending nearly two months in their service center. The vehicle that is at the center of this matter was a vehicle that I attempted to purchase from Riser Ford when my vehicle suddenly died. I spent 15 minutes in the parking lot with no assistance before I called Northpoint (McLarty) and informed them I was on my way and explained what I needed. They had three vehicles backed In waiting for me upon my arrival and had me out of the office before lunch. read more

He checked and called us back promptly. He had just what we wanted. Buying the car was easy, we were happy with the price, but what really impressed us was the entire experience. All the staff were very friendly and you could tell our business was appreciated. After we purchased the car, everyone was shaking our hand and congratulating us. The entire establishment was extremely efficient and well managed. We have only experienced this type of professionalism with one other Lincoln dealer which was in St. Louis. It's your typical tell you what you want to hear salesman/financial rerepresentatives. I was told to accept Ford motor credit for financing because of the rebates even though it was a couple points higher rate. Then come back in and we will resubmit loan and then choose the best rate.I have tried to do what I was told and have not had any phone messages returned. Went with oil change coupon. The coupon was for $35 oil, 5 quarts semi-synthetic, filter, and check systems and fluids. It cost me $60, because they claim my 6 cylinder car holds 7 quarts of oil and charged $7 more. They didn't put in semi-synthetic. They charged me $10 for an oil filter additionally. By the time I left it was $60. They did the same ploy on my parents at a different visit. They are scammers. Typical Hot Springs attitude of pulling one over on everyone. would not give Riser Ford a good review i am 72 years old, this was not a good experance. went in with a 2016 ford 150 been in shop 7 times under 15,000 miles for same problem to Riser Ford, finally got mad and told them that Ford needed to step up and make this right or get the truck fixed. General manager said get him out of this truck what ever it takes; several stories were told ( to save space will leave it at that) none of them matched, they got the paper work wrong which cost me $40.00 at revenue office for being late to get plates. several other mess up's, attitude stinks, need a make over; it is hard to be nice when you get the run around. but i did. finally got a 2017 Escape was told that Ford was taking back my truck my payments would be less than it was but they put neg. colleratol on the contract did not catch it in the amount of $5.000 then thy told that Ford was not taking it back that i had traded in the pick-up. In short with all the false stories that were told to me and my wife i will not ever go back to Riser Ford to buy any thing again.They messed with this preacher to many times. read more

One star is too many. Took a used Explorer I just purchased to have it serviced and checked for a coolant leak. They replaced rear shocks steering links, made a new ignition key,and flushed the transmission for a charge of over $1800. Part of the charge was $220 for a cooling system pressure test and $68 for an upper radiator hose it didn't need, and $127 to flush and fill the radiator. Drove the vehicle about 50 miles and when I checked the coolant there was none in the reserve tank and the radiator was almost empty. Added coolant and took it back to Riser. Then was charged over $680 to replace the thermostat housing which was cracked (under the $68 hose I didn't need) (and had t pay for the new coolant again that leaked out because of their mistaken diagnosis). I. was told the manifold had to be removed to change the housing but I know it can be changed without removing it. Brought the vehicle 14 miles home, let it cool down and checked the coolant, the reservoir was bone dry. Checked the radiator pressure cap and found that it held no pressure, just blew air through it when I pushed on a radiator hose. Evidently the cooling system hadn't been filled properly filled. If it takes 2 hours to pressure test a cooling system at Riser (which I can do in about 5 minutes with my tester) and they don't even check the pressure cap, something is terribly wrong with someone's mechanical ability or maybe their attitude about doing a job properly. With the poor quality of work done on this portion of the repairs, I now worry about the quality of work done on the rest of the vehicle. I now wouldn't trust that service department to do even a simple oil change and will never deal with Riser again. BE WARNED. read more
