Read the yelp reviews and decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad that I did! The check in for whatever service you need done is on a tablet (fairly easy to use) I thought it was neat. There were three ladies working and each of them had a client on the chair. I waited no longer than 10 mins until it was my turn. The woman that did my eyebrows took her time and she was sweet. I've been here twice for eyebrow and upper lip threading. Both times were good experiences and the prices are very reasonable. $11 for BOTH eyebrows and upper lip. They are very sanitary, using new thread for each person and using antibacterial gel after each customer. They have well labeled boxes for used and clean tools on each mirror. The 2 ladies that I've seen there are both very nice and ask for your opinion on the look of your eyebrows. I don't feel pressured to tip them (although I do tip generously every time.) Never again! Gave them 3 chances to get it right and every single time got the same result. They cut your skin, uneven brows, they hurt, it's more painful than other places, my lip and eyes are sore and red for hours after they do the threading. I am seriously SO PICKY about everything especially my eyebrows!! In fact I don't really like to get threading done I am very accustomed to wax and It is very painful for me. Today I came in and there was 1 lady on staff. When she finished with her client and got to me there were 3 people waiting after me. But she did not rush the service or me at all!!!! She took her time, made sure I was okay with everything, was extremely polite and gentle and even gave me a little massage with lotion when she saw my sensitive skin get red. I went here for my very first time after hearing great reviews about this place. I wanted to get my whole face threaded, but the lady attending to me insisted that the wax was "better". I unfortunately succumbed to this and at first everything was going well. Then she waxed my chin multiple times. I didn't notice anything except for a slight sting until she applied lotion to my face. I then felt a horrible stinging sensation and I had to wash my face. The location is in a busy shopping center, but I have never had any issues finding parking. It typically is a bit more congested early Saturdays since the parking is shared with Chase bank and neighboring restaurants. I went in at 6pm today (Saturday) and was the only person at the threading salon. All threading ladies were available, but my go to is Kalpu. Kalpu is the best! I hadn't paid any attention to my brows since I got bangs in February and I finally went in today. She always cleans up my brows and maintains their integrity. I have naturally thick brows and Kalpu never over threads them. She is attentive to detail and makes sure I am comfortable throughout. This is my third time going to Rising Threading and definitely not my last. You definitely cannot beat the $7 price and quality service you get here. read more

I went to get my eyebrows done and the lady who did them did them so thin I wad upset and didn't like them. I wasn't going to cause a scene in front of everyone but they looked awful and I told her I didn't like them. I tried calling to get ahold of a manager to voice not liking them and every time I called they hung up on me. It's horrible customer service. read more

The threading took two minutes and was the most painful threading I've ever had. The shape was too round and she even took a little chunk of hair in the middle of my brow. I don't know why this place gets such high reviews. I got a bad feeling as soon as I entered their doors. I went in trying to find where to sign in to get my face threaded and the whole time the two women working there (mother and daughter I think) just stared at me, no hi or anything! First impression: rude. I sat down in their chairs and they are super uncomfortable because there is no head rest really. Imagine getting all the hairs pulled out of your face while trying to keep your head up! I'm tearing up from the pain, so I make sure to say thank you for her giving me a tissue for my tears. But the whole time, she is talking to her daughter in a different language. Not to mention her thread broke on me twice during my threading! Ouch! Then afterwards, I get out of my seat. She hurries me out of my chair while I'm putting my sunglasses on to hide my teary eyes. She says it's $25. So I hand her my credit card. She asks "how much?" To put on the card. *I always pay cash when I give tips.* Before I could get the $5 bill out of my wallet she was talking to the younger girl in their language again, and I know it's about me not tipping right away! Sheesh! So when I did give her the $5, her mood totally changed. Only smile I had seen from her that whole time. I wish I could go back and take that money back from her because I have so many patches of hairs on my face that she missed and broke out on the outer sides of my face. I have been going to Rising Threading almost every month for several years now pre-Covid. I have received reward points in the past to get a free eyebrow threading after a certain amount of points but just never used it. I decided to finally cash in my free eyebrow threading today, but unfortunately one of the workers said my code was invalid. She then made several different excuses saying : it is expired, we can only take $5 off it is not free anymore, we changed our reward system, etc. When I asked her to apply the $5 off for the service today, she goes on saying it is only valid the next visit, which I am sure the next visit she or someone else would just say it's invalid. The code never stated there was an expiration date and they were the ones that closed for a whole year so I couldn't use it earlier anyways. As a loyal customer, I am disappointed in their inconsistency. There are several other threading places in Monrovia which I I will be trying out next time. read more

The last time I got my eyebrows threaded, it was at the Temple City location on Rosemead Blvd, and I was not very happy with the results as it was shapely very badly. So I decided to try this location. I did not get the name of the lady who threaded my eyebrows, but she did a fantastic job! I explained to her what my issues were from​ the visit to the Temple City branch. She listened very attentively​ and worked her magic. I will be coming back here again for sure! read more

I definitely recommend this place. I've been here three times and I really like it for a few reasons. 1- The location is convenient for me. 2- so quick that I can get groceries from trader joes, pop in and within 5 min walk out with sexy eye brows. 3- The price is really reasonable. The cheapest I've seen. $7 per section threaded so just my eye brows are $7 and if I add any facial hair it's another $7. Normally it's $14 and up just for eye brows anywhere else. My two complaints are 1- the first time I went my eye brows had a great arch I have never been able to achieve before. They looked great and I got so many compliments. The last two times I've gone however they haven't been able to achieve the arch again. Super strange. 2- I hate the way the store is set up. The chairs are right in front of the waiting area. People are facing you and staring (doubtfully on purpose) while I'm getting threaded. I also get so red after any threading or waxing and it's embarrassing. I really don't need an audience. The price and location is a win. If they were to raise the price however I probably would go elsewhere. read more

The lady that did my eyebrows had no business doing eyebrows. She didn't listen to me when I tried to tell her how I get mine done. She said she would keep the shape and clean it only and ended up ruining and changing the entire shape of my eyebrows. When I told her after that she ruined my shape she said she didn't do anything instead of trying to fix her mistake. Now I have to wait months for it to grow back so I can go somewhere new to fix my eyebrows and I have naturally thick and dark eyebrows so this is going to take forever! read more

If I could rate this place 0, I would. My eyebrows came out terrible then I got my lip waxed. The way was so hot that it burned me and she put the wax on my cheek and tore my skin. Also, make sure you use a fake number with the checkin because they sell your number to telemarketers. My daughter and I figured it out once we started getting tons of calls from a 626 number. Sam does a very good job, she never leaves me with any cuts, and to top it off she's very gentle when she massages your temples at the end.

Don't get a facial here! It is the most unrelaxing and unprofessional experience. I left half way through and they still charged me the full price, I should of just walked out. The products they use sting your face and get in your eyes. My vision was blurry after and my eyes watered. They get the products all in your hair. The room they use is the waxing room so you lay on the wax paper roll and have the facial with bright lights on, no music, you lay in silence, and they use a bowl with cold water and a hand towel to wipe the product off your face.
