I found this place on Yelp that was close to my work, figured it would work out for me to pop in during my lunch. I went the same day I found it, no appointments need, once I was there, I was asked to sign in with my cell #. I think for every 10 service, you get 1 free. Right away after signing in, I was seated, and the lady started right way. So far, I gone twice and both time, I used 2 different people, I feel like they are very slow only because they are more careful. For both times, afterwards, I did have to go home and clean up a bit more, random ones to pluck and a tiny trim. And unfortunately for both times, I left my ear brows a bit uneven, thankfully I was able to fix it at home. As of right now, I am still not 100% on board, probably going to go one more time to see if I want to continue. read more

Just walked out of my second session here. My first experience was when they first opened and Kalpu really took her time and did an amazing job. I haven't been since because I have another place I frequent but since they were closed today and I'm leaving for a big trip, I decided to give Rising Threading another shot. This time, Kalpu was busy so I chose the next available at the kiosk. Shortly after, I was greeted by a woman who's name I didn't get a chance to catch. She sat me down quickly and did an extremely rushed job- I was off the chair in 5 minutes. To my horror my eyebrows were completely uneven beyond repair when I checked the mirror. Not only that but this was by far the most painful experience I've had in my 9 years of getting threaded; she kept rubbing the thread into my skin really hard to the point where it burned. To top it off she was rude to me upon checkout. 2 stars for convenient location, quick to be seated, and Kalpu. I wish I got this other lady's name so I could save you from the terrible experience I had though. read more

I started coming here now that I live in the area. I've been here about 4 times for threading and have been happy each time. I always just go with the first person available and have had great results each time. The place I used to go in Fullerton had a deal when you combined eyebrows and upper lip ($10) or eyebrows, lip, and chin ($12). They also had promos with 5 eyebrow threadings for $25. I wish Rising Threading had similar deals, but other than that- I would recommend this place for threading! read more

I recently switched to this threading salon after I had a few issues with the salon down the street by target. The girls are always really nice here and make you feel comfortable. The salon is really clean and I like their threading chairs they lean all the way back and at very comfortable. As an added bonus they give you a little massage with the aloe jell after threading. I really like that they don't rush their work even when it's a little busy(mostly on Saturdays) they really take their time. read more

The services offered are affordable and fair, I especially like how quick and professional they were. If you've never had your eyebrows threaded then I'll tell you first hand that the process is quick. I just walked in, picked what I wanted at the front desk with the help of a nice tablet and approximately ten minutes later I was on my way, the process already being completed. I didn't make an appointment considering it was the middle of the week, never hurts to call ahead though. It was awesome, I really appreciated the aloe treament, to help soothe my brows but during the process of getting my eyebrows threaded, I didn't feel any pain. I genetically have thick eyebrows but they took care of me. I wanted them to look more masculine and angled instead of soft and I didnt want my unibrow to be as prominent. CAN'T RECCOMEND ENOUGH! I've been going to this place since highschool and I now live across the street from a diff threading place, but I still drive to this one! Just got my eyebrows threaded by a new girl from the El Monte location (Rhada) and she was absolutely amazing plus the staff have always been so friendly and cautious of how you feel. To top it all off, one of the women working there gave me a free cute clothing item just to be nice because her husband and her have clothing company and they sell things in the front on a rack. I was in Monrovia one day about a month ago, and on my way home from visiting a family member. I needed a full face threading and walked in to Rising Threading. I requested a full face threading. Sadly after my threading I have had nothing but ingrown hairs all over my face. My face hurts from the hairs trying to come out of my skin and I have had to exfoliate on a regular basis. I'm so sorry to write this review as I see that there are many great reviews. I have had my face threaded for years and never a problem like this, as well I am a licensed Esthetician and understand the threading process. I've been here several times over the last 3 months to have my eyebrows threaded. Service provided up to this point was a 3/5 stars. Not great or even note worthy but the cost was low and the location very convenient so I continued to go. Unfortunately my last visit (which will truly be my last) ended with my eyebrows threaded unevenly and I was immediately left was thread burns below my brow. I could tell the girl working on me was rushing but I expected her to be professional enough to make sure she did her job correctly! Completely unacceptable service. This was my third time going there and each time has subsequently gotten worse. I will never go back there again after this last visit. I went in for full face threading and came out with patches of hair still there, uneven eyebrows, and SO SO many cuts EVERYWHERE. She took over 30 minutes when there is no reason to be that slow. I've been getting my face threaded for over 10 years and it's never taken that long. At least you could say, well she was being very thorough but that's not the case. Came home to so many patches and it's been two days and my face is still burning from all the cuts. I'm worried they're going to scar. Worst service ever. I wish I hadn't tipped. read more

I was fed up with the staff at Rising Threading on the Rosemead, but the owner seemed sincere on improving customer service, so I decided to give their Monrovia branch a try. There was no line when I arrived. I was assisted promptly and with a smile by staff. There was no TV in this establishment (unlike the one in Rosemead, where TV was always on whenever I was there, and staff was glancing at the TV while working on my eyebrows). I even got a nice massage when staff smoothed out the aloe lotion over my eyebrows. A little bit got into the corner of my eyes, but I didn't even mind. I will be back. read more

I always love coming here. I've never had any problems with my eyebrows or upper lip when I get them threaded here. Never any nicks or redness. When I check in, I always ask for Kalpu. Kelly and the others are great too!! I just find that Kalpu pays a tiny bit more attention to the little stray hairs and details more. After your threading or waxing, they will always ask if they can put some aloe Vera or lotion on you along with a nice little massage to work it in gently. I had an awesome brow threading lady I would go to on Myrtle, but since she closed down her business this is the next closest spot for me to get my brows threaded. It's clean inside and the staff seems friendly. I came in on Saturday and when I checked in they seated me right away and started on my brows. I didn't get the name of the woman who did my brows, but she was nice and did a good job. When you come 9 or 10 times you get one free threading. They also have a deal with Yelp if you check-in you get $1 OFF. That's a really good deal and brow threading is only $7 compared to my last spot of being $10. NAILS DONE, HAIR DONE, EYEBROWS DIDDDD. I use to drive 20 minute drive to Kaya Threading in Rosemead just to get my brows done. It was pretty inconvenient to drive that far just to keep my brows fresh unless I was already in the area. With that being said, it was easy to lack maintenance let my brow hairs go crazy for weeks and weeks at a time. So when I saw that Rising Threading opened up at the Monrovia plaza with the Trader Joes, Marshall's, and Party City, I stopped in and gave it a try. Appreciatively, I was very impressed! Rising Threading does a great job at threading at the price of $7 for brows, or $6 with a check in. The staff is extremely friendly, and the place is super clean. The brow magicians know what they're doing and will accommodate to what you want, yet do what looks good on you. They do a good job and are efficient, you're in and out fairly quickly. I have been coming to this location for a few months now because I had a bad experience at one of the locations in the valley mall in el monte, not sure if they are owned by the same person or not. For some reason I always get the same lady I can never catch her name but she is an older lady So i always get full face threading First time I went to this location the lady commented how much facial hair I had and I explained to her how I have a thyroid and hormone problem and that why I have a bit more facial hair then most, I thought that after explaining this once she wouldnt bring it up in any shape or form but every time ive gone she says the same thing or has brought it up or would say how difficult it would be/ is. I have tried other times to get someone different but it never happens Bringing something up like that again and again to someone is very rude why bring it up time and time again when I have already explained it to you I don't come there to be reminded. And if its so difficult for you why not just take the next available costumer and ill wait for someone else Another thing this lady threads way to fast and way to harsh on my face I have told her twice ( not to mention she tjreads all the way up to my eye super fast and hard, that is delicate skin under the eye you shouldnt really be doing that. Another this to watch out she has accidentally threaded a couple of my eyelashes out, she said sorry and keeped threading) and I understand everyone has their own way of threading but every time I go there she does it as fast as she can like shes in a hurry and trys to get me out of her chair and get the next customer in, I understand you get a lot of customers and most just get eyebrow threading but I am paying you for your time and service and I always tip anywhere from $5-$10 Yes I know everyone is going to say if you had a bad experience or don't like this place you don't have to go there anymore.. Oh my gosh. How could I have not discovered this place earlier? I live in Norcal but I come to visit my parents in SoCal every month or so. I am never going back to my threading place in Norcal again. First, Kalpu did an amazing job with my eyebrows. It was not super painful like most other threading places, and it was still clean (not many stray hairs left unplucked). Secondly, Kalpu even threaded the area around my eyes and my upper cheekbones, up to the sides of my head. Amazing. Third, Kalpu gave me a mini massage around my hair/eyebrow area at the end. Oh my gosh, it felt amazing. No one else gives these massages at threading places, ever! I could tell that Kalpu is really detail oriented, she won't just rush over you to the next customer, which is a very good thing in my book. Sure, I'll have to wait a little longer in line (I waited about 20-30 minutes for my turn, and I was the third person in line), but if that means I'll get longer service, detailed threading and nice massage, it's worth the wait. Plus, you can't beat the price, $7!! I regret not getting the stamp card, because I'm going back everytime I visit my parents in Socal! read more

I didn't have to wait and got my brows done in 10 minutes. She was gentle and super sweet. I loved how my brows came out and she even offers an aloe massage on your brows after! Hehe, how sweet! $7 for threading the brows! -$1 for check-in = $6 in the end! I tipped the lady $3 because she did a great job! Don't forget to tip! After years and years of going to different threading places, I finally found the right one! They are consistent every time, and I know I will walk out feeling good about myself. They take their time and are very diligent, even if the store is full, they ensure the best service possible! The price cannot be beat either. Rising Threading - you're the threading place I've been waiting for, the one that has made me a BELIEBER....oh wait, that's another thing... ;p I'm a diehard eyebrow waxer. I've NEVER experienced the precision and shape that I get from waxing with threading. Countless times I've received the well-intended challenge from friends and coworkers, "You like waxing? Try "XYZ" threading salon. You'll never want to wax again." Only, each time I was met with disappointment, and more importantly, money wasted on less-than-perfect brows. Well, Rising Threading happened to be open a the right time - they're open Saturdays AND Sundays, accepts credit cards (with no minimum purchase), and was nearby. And also the best reviewed, local, waxing place didn't accept credit cards. I wasn't happy (at first), but I thought it would "have" to do. Walking in, there was only 1 other customer getting her brows threaded and the free employee came and greeted me, instructed me how to use their state-of-the-art check-in (SO NEAT! AND THEY HAVE A REWARDS PROGRAM), and took me right away. The woman who did my brows was so pleasant and took her time. After a minute or two I was shocked, thinking, "She's still working?! What could she be doing?" My experiences with threading have always been brief so I was intrigued. When she finished she asked if I wanted aloe vera - great for my pale, sensitive skin - and gave a nice temple/forehead massage while she rubbed it in. At last when she handed me the mirror I was in shock. Not only were my brows clean, they were so shapely! This is the second time I've ever visited any hair removal place, but the first to get my arms waxed. (I felt compelled after my 5 year-old complimented me on my "furry" arms, petting me like she does our cat.) The ladies here are super sweet and super fast. They don't waste time, so even if there is someone ahead of you, it's not a long wait. Kalpu waxed my arms, remarking that they weren't that hairy. (Ah ha! I knew it.)
