The setup they had, was very nice, I did note people eating hot brown sandwiches and they looked and smelled delicious . I didn't eat or drink anything, although I did see, people order the favorite, mint julep's. Everyone was, having such a great time and the hat's were amazing that the ladies was wearing. The men, looked great and had nice hats on as well and was dressed to impress. Awesome Derby Event

It is so beautiful inside and the service was incredible. I don't think my water cup ever got past half empty. Shout out to the water service. As for food, of course we started with the deviled eggs because that's what was recommended to us. They absolutely lived up to the hype and I'm dreaming about the next time I will eat these. The waitress recommended the lemon caper chicken to me and it was perfectly lightly breaded, and I'm not a huge fan on grits but loved these. The consistency was nice. My husband had the pork chop and he said it was very good. It was also ginormous. We finished off the mule with a flourless espresso chocolate cake, which hit the spot.

The name of the game is food. And I'm a superstar. I don't think I'm particularly picky, but I can…read morebe. Where it counts. Which is food. Sometimes things win and sometimes things lose. In the end, we all just try to tally up the wins and losses and try our best to rate a restaurant. This is my story. Usually when traveling, I try to get in a smattering of different genres of food. Mostly because I tire easy. Like when walking. I also try to get in some of the best things I like. Which are burgers. And wings. I'm also kind of a sucker for wildly long names of things. Which is exactly where good friend beer garden and burger house comes in. I really dug the look of the place. Open concept with the outside, outdoor seating, cool lighting ambiance. Just a really cool vibe and feel. Like a dorm room after your freshmen year. You know, once you get everything figured out and you aren't bunking with that weirdo with all the waifu pictures hanging up and FaceTimes with his cat. I will say though, the only weird drawback this place had was it was DARK on the inside. Never really had that problem before. Wouldn't have been an issue had I remembered my headlamp, but I left it back in the mines. And in all honesty, I don't care too much about the state of the building around me as long as the food hits hard. I was pumped about the wings as they seemed to have an assortment of flavors. I ordered four and thinking back, I can't remember why. Maybe that was the minimum, maybe you could only order in increments of four. Nobody really knows at this point and I'm way too far away to drive back and ask. So, four wings. You were able to split the sauces. Not like atoms, but like different flavors. This is food, not science. So, like a good CERN scientist, I requested split sauce. I inquired about the KFC flavoring and the server told me it was a rub and their version of secret blend of herbs and spices. I'm not a fan of rubs simply because if I'm going to eat wings, I want them saucy and messy. Like my relationships. BUT he said, and I quote "it's really good." That was all I needed to hear. Sign me up. After the rub I knew I needed a sauce. I settled with the Mild because it seemed like a good middle of the road. Man. Sometimes you do wings right and sometimes you do wings RIGHT. The KFC rub was 100% top tier rub. It wasn't a light rub which I've experienced before, it was a full on flavor soak. Make no mistake, you were going to experience that rub flavor. It was so good if I accidentally got some on my fingers, I'd just have nubs left. The Mild sauce was also top tier. Although I will say it seemed a few steps above a mild sauce. It was like a Low to Mid Hot sauce wearing a Mild sauce mask. Like the kind your mom and dad used to wear at those parties you weren't allowed to go to. Oh, and the wings had that chef's kiss crunch and that chiefs kiss juiciness. 10/10 want to experience these wings again in a Groundhog's Day setting. Now let's talk burger. I have found that I love smash burgers. I have not figured out yet how to make a delicious one myself, so I rely on the skill of others. Much like everything else in my life. Except dentistry. I do that myself. Castaway style. I ordered the Bourdain which included the patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Kewpie mayo. Not sure what that last one is, but I like condiments on my burg, so sign me up. I'll let you in on a little secret, I used to make burgs for the Bee's back in my heyday. And a little deeper secret, I can't remember how we stacked them. That being said, when I make my personal burgers, everything is on top of the burger. I'll sometimes do a condiment or two on the bottom, but I have no real methodology. In my mind, you want that patty to hit those taste buds first. No middle man. Like the lawyer you kept having to talk to when trying to figure out which parent you wanted to live with. The Bourdain burger did the exact opposite with this burger. It had the lettuce and pickle as a buffer between meat and tongue. And honestly, I think that might have been what turned me off to the burger. I patties had good flavor, but it felt like it came in too late because I tasted toppings first. In my burger mind, this hurt more than it helped. Side Note: Fries were good. The spicy ranch would peel the paint off of any car, spot weld iron beams, and melt through your hand without protective gloves. It's hurting my mouth to even write this. PS Sorry for the sideways photos. I hate that, too. Chicken Wings: 12/10 Burger: 7/10 Spicy Ranch: Please Don't

Once you get there, It feels like you're in the southwest or something. I like that you can go there just to have a casual drink outside or even a light study. I went here over two months ago so I can't remember the food much honestly, nothing there stood out like oh my god but I can appreciate their unique menu and fresh ingredients. I remember the server was kinda plain though? Didn't seem enthusiastic and didn't seem to know the menu well either. Overall I'd go back to try the food again but really to enjoy the vibes with some friends.

Started off the night with the mushroom croquetas which are locally sourced from a family in Rockwall. The orange sauce underneath was the standout and the dish had an excellent acidity to it. We then tried the duck salad which was my favorite of the night. The duck was tender and the pickled carrots mixed well with the savory taste. We finished with the pork shank pasta. I personally think the pasta was a little undercooked for my liking but it was still a good plate. The biggest highlight of the night I'd have to say were the drinks. Boom goes the dynamite is my pick but if you like sweeter get the velvet kashmire rita. Expect to pay $50-60 per person just fyi but worth it in my opinion for the ambiance alone.
