Is this Felton, CA store closing? There is never much on the shelves. They spread items across empty shelves so that they don't look so empty, but they still do. I walked in today, could not find a thing I was looking for, so had to walk right back out. Sad. A few years ago it used to be fully stock and a busy vibrant store. Unfortunately when you walk in the store it's filthy! The shells are not stocked and what is stock normally is not in the right location. What really irks me is that living up here and Felton it gets extremely warm and you want a nice ice cold beer at times for 2 months now the coolers in the store have been inoperative Yes that means warm beer just talk with one of the gentlemen that makes the deliveries to the store the beer deliveries and he was shaking his head and he says they just don't seem to understand you can't keep the beer warm it ruins it do you hear that right aid you are ruining your beer and ruining your customer base read more

I have been coming here for some time now. Usually its for small things such as a drink, snacks and of course ice cream. There are hardly ever lines, store is organized and the people are friendly. If your looking for small things and snacks, Rite Aid beats out CVS and Safeway hands down. Now if only they had more buy one, get one free specials on their snickers bars...hint hint ;-) read more

Two friends and I bought some ice cream cones from the counter here. It was almost entirely uneventful: we walked in, got our ice cream, and began to leave. On our way out, a female cashier, completely unprovoked, glared at my group and made rude, sarcastic and personal comments about us. Had someone said that I'd end up writing a review about a drug store I would have laughed my head off. What an old-fogey thing to do! So here I am. Rite Aid Felton is one with very friendly service and great pharmacists / pharmacy tech's. They are eager to help, and well-versed in their specialties. I have a belief in letting people know positive things. There is not enonugh "positivity" flying around out there. I always comment when clerks, for example, or waitstaff, or salespeople when they have been helpful, or even better, cheerful and respectful. I will often remark even if someone's wearing something by which I am intrigued. (I will comment here that I have graduated to the age where I can flirt and compliment without people thinking that I am trying anything untoward! One *very good thing* about getting older.) The point of my claptrap is that I find myself complimenting frequently and repeatedly at this Rite Aide. Very friendly staff. The little filipina Pharmacy Tech is SO very friendly, ALWAYS. A great person to be around, a dependably pleasant and shiny young woman by whom to be attended, informed, helped. She's a charmer to chat with also. They are all very nice, period. There is a frequently present young (30's?) woman manager who is simply the best to work with, regarding any type of question. I believe that she hand picks employees and knows how to spot that certain bit of spark that represents a good hire, and I have to saythe floor people and cashiers well, because there is an overall feeling of efficiency and courtesy that's a delightful change from many other stores. My favorite pharmacist left, soo bad, but the ones now there are very nice. The previous one *knew* me, something at times even crucial when drugs are involved. Good little store. I have to say that the atmosphere (lighting, modernity) and stock seems to be far less than other same-type stores. read more

I normally don't write reviews even if the places deserve it, but WTF. I called this store because I needed to see if they had something in stock (because they never have anything in stock for crying out loud) and the phone picked up and hung up. I thought maybe it was the connection or something, so I tried again, same thing happen. I decided to try one last time and it got picked up, i heard some voices talking and then boom, hung up on me. I decided to drive there myself and to my surprise they didn't have what I needed, very upset because I just wasted my time. I decided to get a drink (but it was warm because their fridges are broken) and some younger looking guy, beard, dark long-ish hair, no name tag helped me out. What threw me off was the phone rang and I expected him to answer it but he picked it up, and hung up the phone. This made me very frustrated because it could've been him doing that and I could've saved the trip. read more

Conveniently walkable drug store and pharmacy, with decent grocery/snacks and drink offerings. Really nice staff.

This afternoon the Teller in Riteaid in Felton made cocaine jokes/ref's to our 8, 13 and 14 years old,who were buying cake ingredients for their grandma (8 years old's note was rolled up) He then singled out our 14-year-old daughter, saying "I know it's over their two heads, but I thought you'd get it" I await the manager's follow up call, but what else has this diamond of an employee said to our/your children? read more

Bought a bottle of beer here the other night and was surprised when I was asked by the cashier to see my driver's license since I am waaaayyy past the legal drinking age of 21. Even more surprising was when he practically snatched it out of my fingers and swiped it at his register, mumbling some gibberish about needing it to "put my information into their customer database"--whatever the hell that means. Just one more instance of corporate invasion of privacy. Won't be shopping here again. read more

OUTSTANDING neighborhood drug store. My family simply won't go any where else. Just recently had another great experience involving the manager Tracy at Felton Rite Aid but she and the staff have been giving great service to this town for a long time now. My wife reminded me it's high time we give a very positive yelp to Tracy, Hunter, everyone at the pharmacy and all the long time staff that have been serving us and the rest of the Felton community. I used to use Walgreens in Scotts Vally but when I did some drug pricing online, I was surprised. I checked prices on Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aide for my prescriptions and found that I could save over $600 a year on the exact same medications with Rite Aide. So I went there for price and found great service as a bonus. No more standing in long queues or waiting on hold forever. The pharmacy staff are truly kind and helpful. read more

I'd likely wouldn't have bothered to review this place except for a certain staffperson I saw during my quick stop here while driving on Highway 9 yesterday afternoon. Such a joyless face for someone in customer service. She was standing by the door as I walked in, I greeted hi and she faced remained uncaring and inexpressive. She needs to be better trained in that regard. The other cashier (the guy) was much better, but still my rating remains for that other young female. read more

I've used this pharmacy for years, but usually for a maintenance prescription. I will be going to the optional mail order system from my insurance. After calling for 5 days and finally being told my new medicine was ready, and sending someone to pick it up, it ends up being the wrong stuff, and my prescription is actually ready at the Soquel Ave pharmacy. The pharmacy staff and the 800 # both said Felton. The staff on the phone just tells you what they think you want to hear, regardless of the circumstances. If you do need to call, maybe it would be best to speak directly to the pharmacist. I've always wanted to do business locally, but the pharmacy staff couldn't seem to help or handle anything more than a basic, ongoing prescription. They are not very clear or helpful. read more

The pharmacy staff here is kind and helpful, the pharmacists are knowledgeable (but quite young), the staff members in the rest of the store are nice enough and tries to help but most don't see to know much about what's where or the products. I get most of my prescriptions here, though, because of the pharmacy staff and because it's nearest to where I live. Would far rather go here than CVS. read more

I used to go to Walgreens but then my insurance changed and I had to start going to a different drugstore for my prescriptions--I'm glad I did. Started going to this Rite-Aid several years ago now. The pharmacy staff is always super helpful and know me by name. THough sometimes the stock of their other items is a bit limited due to the size of the store--I nearly always find what I need, and with their loyalty points program--I get 20% off most items year round now! read more

I love that they've recently updated the store. Harder to find things but like how clean it is. There seems to ever only be one checker, even when they're busy. The last time I was there the "door greeter" (never seen one there before) was standing there while the only checker was struggling to keep up with the growing customer line. And when people walking in were asking where they could find things, she wasn't very knowledgeable. There are always people out front begging for handouts. Which would be fine if they weren't smoking right next to the door. And the employees refused to ask them to stop. Maybe there should be some "NO SMOKING" signs out front? Overall I'll still shop here over CVS. read more

Great pharmacy! The ladies there are the best, they really go the extra mile to help. Prices are pretty good, including for vitamins and supplements which are often 2 for 1. I compared prices with other pharmacies like CVS, Safeway, Rite Aid wins by far. I have been going there for a few years and will continue to do so. read more

This is the worst phramacy I have ever dealt with. They do not answer the phone and take a long time to fill prescriptions even when there is nobody else in line. What a waste of time. read more
