She checked the warranty for me and it turned out that our broken water heater was still under warranty. She saved me thousands of dollars! After the part was received, the technician was there within a couple of hours and replaced the part. Alleluia there is hot water again! Despite the nightmare of not having hot water for a few days, RRP was very efficient while saving us a lot of money. Terrible. we were contracted to rite rooter via lowe's to have two faucets installed. delay after delay. finally were scheduled and then they canceled the day of. rescheduled and then the technician named david chose to just go home bc he couldn't find parking despite us having a dedicated parking spot he was free to use. so unprofessional and no repercussions from the company. One of the worst experiences i have had and haven't even had any work done yet because they can't get their act together enough to follow through on a single appointment. do not recommend, or if you have to use them, request not to have david. read more

Hired through Lowe's for a water heater replacement. I had very bad experience with Rite Rooter plumbing. After 3 months of installation, the pipe started leaking. After 4-5 days my garage started to flood then I realized the water heater was also leaking. I called Rite Rooter plumbing an make an appointment. Appointment day, no one came. I called them again and they said the plumber is on the way, and no one showed up after the whole day. I call again second day and they said coming today still no one come to fixed my leaking water heater pipe. Now It's been 5 days still no one showed up. Never hired Rite Rooter plumbing. Hired through Lowe's for a hwh replacement. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a plumber in my over 50 years of home ownership and construction management. It took them almost two weeks to complete the project, which should have taken two days at most. The installers came unprepared to complete the installation. Wrong-sized pan, no CPVC or PVC with them for the pressure relief or pan draining, lacking appropriate tools to drill through stucco, left the jobsite a mess the 4 or 5 times they came to work. I had to call them multiple times to get them to complete the job properly. And much more. VERY poor communicators and abysmal problem solvers. I would highly recommend that if you want your job done right, you get someone else. Lowes did a good job of trying to resolve things, but the plumbers are horrific and did not take responsibility for their poor, pathetic performance on this job. If you are assigned to this company through Lowe's, I recommend you ask for a different contractor. Otherwise, stay away from them for your own good. read more

This review is on the customer service; unfortunately I was not able to get Service. The story here, I bought a sink and faucet at Lowe's to replace the one that I currently have. This company must be contracted with Lowe's because some lady called me and right off the gate she was telling me that they cannot replace my sink because I have granite and plywood. Mind you, no one came out nor I provided pictures. She was manipulative in the conversation and asked me how much did I pay at Lowe's for the installation because Lowe's was only giving them ~$250. I asked her to work with Lowe's with the details because that was not for me to disclose. I was not able to get words in and she went on on being rude and condescending. They installed our water heater and the gas line which popped out its place and water line wrong, to the point our whole how was filed in gas so we had to call the fire department to close it and they had to tell our neighbors to leave there home cause our house could explode at any moment, we weren't even allowed in our hours for 3 hours untill the gas left our house, we called them to let them know they came to re-install the new guy said that they did a bad job very bad job, we called to get reimbursement or at less pay less on our bill and they said they won't do it, I said why you almost caused our lives dying in our sleep or our house blowing up, the lady who works in the front said, cause you guys didn't die or get hurt, we won't do it!!! They said we won't even win the sue case cause we didn't die or get hurt, this company didn't care about no one's safety so please don't use them, and then they came back installed our straps to the water heater which took 2 weeks to come back, they pushed the water heater so in it busted our pipe line and it started to leak gas again then called us liars that the gas wasn't leaking, then we called pg&e and they came to check and they said we had 4 different gas's leaks and that they installed it all wrong and it was a failed gas line which could caused our lives, so don't use them!?? We told them this the second time we will sue and the owner laughed at our faces and said go for it you'll lose, they are horrible people and the employees don't know how to do thier jobs!! read more

We contacted Shelly numerous times regarding the trouble that we were having with our water heater and she was able to answer each and every question we had. She ordered the necessary parts that needed to be replaced and sent the technician out as soon as the parts arrived to repair the water heater. She was patient with us as two other companies told us we needed a new water heater. She took our serial number for the water heater we have and determined it did not need to be replaced, but rather repaired. The price was right and it is working normally now. I had an extremely frustrating experience with Rite Rooter Plumbing. They sent out two very inexperienced technicians who clearly had no idea what they were doing. I explained that my dishwasher was backing up with water and that a dishwasher repair technician had already confirmed it wasn't the machine--his diagnostics suggested a plumbing issue like a backed-up garbage disposal, a kinked hose, or debris is blocking the pump. Instead of troubleshooting the problem, the technicians kept asking me what they should do. They even admitted they didn't know what they were doing and repeatedly called their dispatcher for guidance. When I asked if they planned to check the issues I mentioned, they dismissed my concerns and insisted those weren't the problems--without even checking! Eventually, I had to tell them to leave because it was clear they were not equipped to handle the job. To make matters worse, I've been trying to get in touch with the company since then, but all I get is voicemail. This is unacceptable customer service, and I would not recommend Rite Rooter Plumbing to anyone. Save yourself the headache and find a more competent and responsive plumbing service. read more

Rite Rooter was chosen by my home insurance company to repair a leak. Technicians that arrived were very pleasant and professional. They found the leak and said they needed to order a special part. A week goes by and they called to say that said repair was not covered, however if I wanted to pay out of pocket, they quoted me a price. It was fair so I said to please proceed with ordering the new part. Another week goes by, no one has contacted me so I called. Was told part is still on order. Another week... I called, same answer, waiting in part. Another week (I'm not kidding) no one has called, so I call, stating that if there's something else that can be done, let's please fix it. The receptionist scheduled me for 12/2/21, between 10am and 12 noon. The scheduled time comes and goes... I call, no response. I call SEVEN times, no response. I leave a message, NO RESPONSE. I call numerous times again today (the day after), and still mo response. I guess I should take the hint that they don't want/need/care about my business. Time to find a new (reliable) plumber. BEWARE- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Rite Rooter was contracted through 1st American Home Warranty to come fix a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink. The pipe was leaking from where it meets with the wall/back of cabinet. Water was going down wall. They showed up last Wednesday, advised they could not make the repair on the sink until they received authorization from warranty company to cut the back of the cabinet and sheet rock out to make the necessary repair. The plumber suggested we go purchase flex seal tape to try to slow the leak going down the back wall of my cabinet until they received authorization to do the repair. This suggestion would have only caused more water to go down the wall behind the back of the cabinet causing further issues. By Friday I had not heard back so I called the warranty company who advised Rite Rooter had not submitted a report for the job but had submitted invoice for payment advising the leak was fixed. Per 1st American Home Warranty, Rite Rooter was required to submit their report within 48 hours of their appointment requesting authorization if further approvals were needed. Their Report was ultimately not sent to the Home Warranty Company for 6 days while my pipes continued to leak and cause further damage. I called Rite Rooter multiple times and received no answer. Left multiple voice mails and received no call backs. DO NOT USE read more

I had Lowes replace my water heater in San Jose and Rite Rooter was the professional company to install the water heater. Order was placed on Friday (afternoon). Shelly from Rite Rooter called on Saturday and we scheduled the install for Monday 11AM to 1PM. The installer showed up on time and quickly installed the water heater. Rite Rooter did an excellent job and I highly recommend them (and Lowes). After scheduling our water heater install through Lowe's Rite Rooter contacted me to provide a quote. After the quote they requested photos of the job and then began to waiver, saying it couldn't be do or brought up to code in the 20 year old house I'm in. Then they made it sound like they couldn't do it for the price quoted with all the extra needed work and they were trying to increase the quote. I held my ground on the quote and then they no showed 3 separate days. I had to contact Lowe's and try to work out the no shows and attempted price raising to no avail. I feel it was just them trying to do a bait and switch on the customer. Thankfully I was able to get out of the contract from Lowe's and them. All in all I ended up getting the water heater installed for $700 less than Rite Rooter's quote (up to code) so, shop around before you commit to using this company. read more

The Keystone Cops could do a better job. They shut off the water for a week while they ordered a part, the heater burner. The heater was not leaking so it was not necessary to turn off the water. AMAZINGLY IT was the wrong part, and they JUST happened to have the CORRECT one in the shop. So why did they order a part, if there was one in the shop?I ask a question and said I didn't agree. Our 76 gallon water heater blew and was covered by Lowes warranty. Lowe's also took care of the labor through Rite Rooter. They came by and realized they had to purchase additional parts for the installation and returned promptly the next day with 3 persons. They also installed the hot water circulating pump and sensor. Of all things, a fitting started leaking in the evening. I took a video and sent it to the office and the installer. They responded to my text on a Friday night and made themselves available to come out on Saturday. They also asked if I was willing to trouble shoot via the phone. We were game and found a brass fitting leak, with their instructions we tightened it down with a open end adjustable wrench. This is not something you would do with pliers. They guided me through the repair for 48 minutes and showed us how to check for leaks with dry papertowels. I appreciate their willingness to help after hours as we didn't want the garage flooded with water as this drip was not staying in the pan. Glad we had a cell phone to send the video of the drip. I looked at their reviews and don't understand some of them. But plumbing repairs and replacements are not inexpensive. I was covered for the heater and the repairs by Lowes. We personally were very pleased with their work. The entire team from Shelly at the office to the actual installers were very professional and knew what they were doing. read more
