Came here because everyone is raving about it! Who doesn't like a great steak, right? I know we do! Walked in and were seated right away. It wasn't busy at all, but I'm sure it does on the weekends! Reychielle was our waitress and frankly lacked customer service. We waited a while for water refills, having to ask twice. I would have loved another glass of wine with my steak, but we saw her texting and talking with her co-workers instead. Food was great but I would have to come back again, perhaps I'll get a better waitress.

I'm not 100% sure that those first two are the correct names for those items but everything was delicious. This place is in a convenient area in the north west . It is in a shopping center with parking spots so you don't have to parallel park. The service is good , they are pretty popular it seems and busy so it can be a little harder to get the servers attention but they do a good job. I've come here for other menu items before too and I've always liked the food. The bar tenders I've experienced were also very friendly. It has a modern aesthetic. This is a place you could dress up to if you wanted. A good date spot.

Went for my birthday tonight. Amazing meal. Sebastian is a fantastic server. If you want to go for a special occasion or an everyday dinner. This is the place you want to go to.

We had a group of eight that were meeting at Ritmo Kitchen and Lounge before heading off to the Gaslight Melodrama for an evening of fun. We had never been to this place build as a kitchen and lounge. It has a nice interior and very comfortable feel to it. The service was awesome. My wife had an old-fashioned and let me know. It was very good. We split the salmon with mashed potatoes. The salmon was perfectly cooked and was a sizable cut. The mashed potatoes were hot and just the right consistency. The veggies, carrots, and broccoli, were not overcooked. Once our orders were in, the food came out very quickly. And though we were a large crowd, the service was very good. I not only recommend this place, but I look forward to going back again.

My husband ordered the ribeye. He really enjoyed his steak. Not so much the side of asparagus. It needed to be trimmed at the base. It was woody. I ordered the surf and turf. The shrimp was really well cooked, great seasoning, but not cleaned properly. The steak was okay. The mashed potatoes were very bland. I wish I'd had a little pile of finishing salt like my hubby had. It is really, really loud inside. More of a bar than a restaurant, but they don't list any prices for drinks. The high-top chairs are very uncomfortable if you have long legs. I felt like I was leaning forward the whole time. I know at least one other high-top table asked to be moved. Food is decent. I would not go back because it's so loud and the seats are very uncomfortable.

My daughter and Son in law wanted to come here for his birthday dinner. A place so very close to home but never knew existed here. I did not realize the type of place or food they had until I looked at the menu. The service for our party size( which was 10) was very top notch and on point. I ordered the porter house which came exactly how I ordered it. The food was very good and top quality. Since that first night about 6 weeks ago, I've come back several times and tried the Ribeye, tomahawk, and the filet along with the variety of sides. My favorite steak here by far is the fillet mignon. They have knocked this cut out of the park twice since I have initially tried it. The lobster Mac and cheese and fries are my top two favorites. They have cold 805 on tap and the prices are exactly reflecting the quality and preparedness you receive here. It has become one of my favorite places here in Bakersfield.

Almost getting brained by a rogue golfball in the parking lot should have been a sign. First of all, I was so confused by the vibe. Passing through the velvet ropes to reach the front door shouted "exclusivity" while the interior was a mashup of country dive and fancy steakhouse. Between the paper napkins and the same wine glasses I got at the dollar tree, I was a little surprised to see a New York steak for $40. We were told there would be a wait for a table, despite it being virtually deserted, or we could sit at the high-top. (My dad was with us and he has a hard time walking, let alone hoisting himself up into the adult high-chairs). At least the double Tito's on the rocks tasted good.

This place has the best steak I've ever had! I decided to get the Lemon Garlic Salmon this time around but when the hubs steak was dropped in front of him and I seen that butter melting on top, I sure was jealous. I just couldn't stop myself from sneaking a bite though. My salmon was delicious but next time I'm getting the steak! We also shared the lobster Mac and cheese and that was amazing as well. Honestly I haven't had anything bad from here yet and I've been a few times now. The waitress was very attentive, keeping our drinks full the entire time we were there. We had a great time hanging with our friends and everyone enjoyed not only our food but the ambiance.

Been here a handful of times for a Friday night date night and it has yet to disappoint! They have a decent selection of foods on the menu as well as drinks to try. My go to has been the chipotle shrimp pasta. Each time I get it, the shrimp honestly taste so fresh. Steak and lobster mac n cheese were soooo good! Great place to have dinner and some drinks. We have also come to know two amazing servers as well!

I had never been to Ritmo Kitchen and Lounge, but I was so surprised when my bestie pulled up and I saw the pink Ritmo sign glowing. I instantly got excited because I've seen so many IG posts hyping up their meats. When we arrived, the host was super kind and let us know it would be about a 45-minute wait. No biggie: we headed to the bar to soak in the atmosphere. The vibe here is like a Latino nightclub but with beautifully plated, elegant food. We ordered the Cadillac margarita and the truffle fries at the bar to start, and both were absolutely delicious. The fries were crunchy with the perfect garlic flavor, and the Cadillac margarita came with the cutest little bottle of Grand Marnier. Soon after, our host walked us to our table and took our order right away. Since the portions are huge, we decided to share. We went with the steak & mushroom truffle pasta and the lobster mac and cheese. The first piece of steak had a little too much sinew, so I wasn't impressed at first, but the second piece totally redeemed it; juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. The pasta was cooked just right and coated in a creamy Alfredo sauce. But the real star of the night was the lobster mac n cheese. It is so hard to find good lobster in Bakersfield, and this one was meaty and flavorful the Mac n cheese was cheesy, and felt like it was made with pure love. It made my heart, my tastebuds, and my stomach very, very happy. Overall, Ritmo definitely delivered on the hype, and I can't wait to come back preferably with my bestie it was definitely a wonderful experience that I would like to repeat.

We've been here a few times now and needed to bump up the stars. The staff is so wonderfully warm, welcoming and helpful. They take the time to talk to you and interact with their customers like old friends even if it happens to be your first visit in. The food has remained flavorful, portions are good, and value and quality have not suffered. A new choice for us this trip was the shrimp skewer app to share. 12 (you read that right, 12 ). Slightly spicy but oh so good dry rub seasoning on the shrimp grilled beautifully and served with a charred lemon and sauce to dip. To round out our surf and turf meal selection, We had the ribeye with guacamole to share also with the blue corn chips. Both of us were full and happy and we didn't finish all of the guacamole hidden under the tender grilled ribeye bites. The green neon lights made our St Patrick's Day very festive indeed. Thanks Ritmo and your wonderful team for giving us a lovely date night. See you soon.

Definitely love this place! Best place to get together with family and friends. Food is always delicious and fresh. Service is exceptional and always checking up on our table. Order the New York steak and salmon with calamari as appetizers. Never miss out on dessert especially the NY cheesecake. Perfect and creamy. Had a wonderful evening date with my partner. This place will not disappoint you. Has been my first choice restaurant for a romantic date night.

Margarita flight $30 wouldnt do again

My wife wanted to take me out for a nice dinner and we didnt want our usual go to spots. She found this and suggested we give it a try. I had seen it before and thought the prices were a bit steep, but I decided to roll with it. We walked into a half empty restaurant which felt like half restaurant have night club and were seated at the smallest table they could find, right under a ceiling fan that seemed to be on high. We decided on a flight of margaritas, and I chose the ribeye and she the filet. The flight of margaritas took up the entire middle of the table and were actually quite tasty but wouldn't pay $30 again for it. Our entrees came out pretty quick and they are served on large cutting boards which literally covered the entire table. We both enjoyed our steaks and asparagus. The extra $5 for the lobster mac was not worth it. My mashed potato's were decent. About half way through my steak I started feeling something cold dripping on my leg. Looked down to realize there was steak juice dripping off of the table and onto my pants and new boots. There was a very large crack in the cutting board that was covered by my steak which had allowed all of its juices to run out and down the table and onto my lap. Again we were cursing this small table they stuck us at. I pointed this out to our waitress and she said "oh yea, that happens, sorry about that". So they know this happens and they just keep doing it? And then you think you are at a nice steakhouse, paying $48+ per steak and then they give you some paper napkins and a piddly little fork? After almost ruining my pants and new boots and feeling like they just dont care about our business, we will never go back..

Granted it looked like all construction workers because there was nothing else but oversized trucks in their parking lot! My fiancé Googled "clean hotel without bed bugs" and Padre Hotel came up first! Their online reviews were great and we were exhausted and needed to rest! We pulled into their valet parking just to drop off our things. As my fiancé parked the car, across the street in the over night garage, I was able to get a Single King room on a Monday night for $159. As we walked into our room #701, it was rather small, but fine since it was just the two of us. As I sat on the bed, it was actually hard! Yay!!!! I can't STAND soft beds and rather sleep on the floor! Haha no joke! Then my fiancé went into the restroom and suddenly he tapped on something glass sounding as I was turning ing on the tv..... I noticed there was a curtain by the bed, so I pulled it across and lo and behold by the bed was the shower and just a curtain the person from the outside of the shower could open/close as they please..... hee. We also had a mini fridge in the room along with a desk and chair. We had planned on staying one night, but got inside LA, and we figured we'd extend our stay. Upon doing so, we went downstairs the next day and asked if there was a deal if we could stay 3-4 days, and sure enough there was!!!! It's always great to see what happens once you ask! Hee. We got a larger room with a corner room location, I forgot the room number, but the restroom was larger and had a separate wall between the toilet and shower area, so if someone was in the shower, someone else could use the toilet and not be seen. This longer hotel room also had a chaise lounge chair and a better view of their downtown area, granted a lot of the places have closed. Overall, I honestly loved our stay here! It reminded me of a county version of The Fairmont SF! They constantly played new aged country music in the lobby! Then on Fridays and Saturdays there was a live band or singer in the bar area! I love how they had a community aspect to the hotel with some local live entertainment!!! My fiancé also loved watching The Knicks play on the bar tv with other people at the bar! Hee. Oh and they had an adorable coffee shop that made Ready To Order items downstairs too! See my review at Farmacy Cafe, but too freaking too! Country SHREK! Hee We will definitely be back again!!!!!

You pass through it on the way to somewhere else…read more-- Mammoth, the Sequoias, the long flat grind up the 99 to Sacramento -- and if you stop at all, it's for gas or a bathroom or because your BMW's brakes have decided, somewhere around the Grapevine, that they'd rather not. Thank you, Weatherford BMW of Berkeley, for the near-death experience and, inadvertently, for one of the best nights out I've had in years. Stranded and waiting on repairs, we checked into The Padre, the only hotel in Bakersfield that feels like someone with a subscription to Dwell had a hand in it, and set out walking through a downtown that time has treated with more kindness than reputation suggests. There's a Woolworth's luncheonette still hanging on. There are old brick facades and wide sidewalks and the particular quiet of a Central Valley evening when the heat finally breaks. And then, on 18th Street, there is Tiki-Ko, and suddenly you are no longer in Bakersfield at all. You are, instead, inside someone's magnificent obsession. Tiki-Ko is a proper tiki bar -- not a tiki-themed cocktail lounge, not a place that bought some bamboo at a craft store and called it atmosphere, but a genuine, committed, floor-to-ceiling shrine to mid-century Polynesian fantasy. The carvings are real. The lighting is correct -- which is to say, barely there. The mugs are serious. There are pufferfish lamps and carved totems and the whole glorious taxonomy of tiki ephemera, accented here and there with a skate-culture edge that keeps it from feeling like a museum. It's reverent without being precious. The drinks are the real thing. Mai Tais built with actual orgeat. Zombies that earn the name. The bartenders make them with the kind of care and enthusiasm that tells you this isn't a gig -- it's a calling. They want you to be here. They want to talk about rum. They want you to try the Painkiller. In a city that most Angelenos regard as a punch line, somebody built a world-class cocktail bar and filled it with joy, and the regulars clearly know it. You will not plan a trip to Bakersfield. But if you find yourself there -- by mechanical failure, by accident, by the peculiar mercy of a bad brake job -- walk downtown. Find the tiki bar. Order a second round. Stay longer than you intended. Bakersfield has been underestimated, and Tiki-Ko is the proof.

There are a few bench style seating areas at the front with some short coffee tables. Think- skater tiki bar. The drinks were good- small menu if you're not sure what you want or are new to tiki. Both sides of the menu are the same menu. There are some nice mocktail options as well- you don't see that often. The service for me is mixed- it wasn't busy- steady but not busy- 1/4 full. I ordered two drinks to start for our table- (no cocktail servers here/not unusual for a small Tiki bar) I asked for a soda water- the bartender looked at me without a word- popped open a can of soda water and walked away. When he walked back by, I asked for a glass of ice- he said nothing and I got an eye-roll huff. I almost left. I don't think providing a glass with ice to pour your canned room temp soda water in, is too wacky an idea to be perturbed by the request. The female who took the order was friendly, smiled and was professional. We got a third cocktail- the Mai Tai. The grumpy bartender was friendlier this time. So, that helped. Maybe he felt overwhelmed and I threw off his groove by asking for water- then a glass... either way- being annoyed wasn't cool. The music.... Wasn't Tiki- it threw off the "Tiki Vibe" and made it feel typical small local bar that serves only Tiki drinks with some Tiki decor. It didn't take you to the land of Tiki- disappointed. Drinks were good.
