This place was not what we were expecting. Went for our anniversary to a 'fancy' steak house. It was not very fancy inside. Country music? Why? The steak was amazing, but the pasta and shrimp was nearly flavorless. There was one server/host, and one bartender when we arrived. There was only 4 couples in the restaurant, but it still took a very long time to get anything. Our food came out before our drinks, and the bartender keep get our orders wrong. Our second drink did not come till after we were done eating and it was wrong. I was surprised that one bartender was incapable of accurately serving drinks to like 10 people over the course of an hour. Our server worked his butt off, and was very nice. Young guy with a trendy hair cut. He deserves props because he was working the whole room. I wanted to give it more stars because the steak was so good and our server was so nice, but this place is not work the price tag. Side note: at some point another female server did arrive at work and 4 staff members congregated near the front and seemed to be having a disagreement. The female server then went and had half a melt down on her cell phone by the bathroom. Top Notch Across the Board! The food is great. We've tried lots of different options and never been disappointed. Everything is great but the steaks and truffle fries are over the top good! The service and staff are excellent. We usually sit at the bar and after a couple times, the bartender not only recognized us and greeted us but he also remembered exactly what we liked to drink. Most portions are big so you can split if you're trying to cut costs. Unlike others, I enjoy the interior and feel very comfortable there. We find the decor to be desirable and not ''cheap'' looking at all! It can get loud because it's completely full of people enjoying themselves but much quieter than some other places we go. Came in to ritmo yesterday with a group of six. My fiance and I ordered three drinks two appetizer and an entree. When we asked for the bill the waitress asked if we were paying with cash or card and I told her I would be paying in cash. She does not give me a receipt instead tells me my total is "$127" so I tipped her $33. Everyone else at the table tipped according to their totals she gave out loud only. After sitting for a second I thought that number felt a little high for what was ordered so I asked for a receipt. It took her about 20 minutes to bring them as if she was waiting for us to leave without them. When I finally got my receipt my bill was actually only $101 and now I had tipped her almost 60% without my knowledge. It felt very intentional. I always tip 20-25% which I feel is very fair but wasn't even given the chance. Will not be returning and neither will my friends. Left an extremely bad taste in my mouth! read more

The food was 10 out of 10. I enjoyed everything that was brought to the table. We ordered the cojita cilantro salad with grilled chicken and the 16 oz. Ribeye. The chicken in the salad had a great flavor and was warm on a crisp bed of fresh romaine. The dressing was wonderfully cilantro-y (if you are not a fan of cilantro don't get this dressing). The steak came with asparagus and another choice side. I chose baked mac&cheese. The steak was ordered medium and was cooked perfectly. There was a mound of fresh salt flakes next to it that enhanced the flavor beautifully. The steak had a nice marbled effect and it melted in my mouth. This is the best steak I've had from a restaurant in quite some time. The asparagus still had nice crunch and the red onion and cherry tomatoes that had been sautéed with it were a nice touch. The Mac & cheese noodles were the large cork screws and had a nice chunk of melty cheese in the center. The outer edges were more saucy and less cheesy. It was good, but nothing to write home about. For desert we shared the peach mango ice cream served on a warm butter cake with a mango drizzle. The combination of flavors was delicious. The service was great. We felt very attended to. Our waitress was perfectly pleasant and several others stopped by to check in and make sure our experience was good. A couple of strange things happened that we couldn't really explain, like silverware being brought to the table wrapped in paper napkins, then another set of silverware being delivered in linens. The linens were removed and more paper napkins were left in their place. I was a little offended by this. I do not believe this was in anyway meant to be offensive. I'm a linen napkin and proper silverware type of person even at home. The silverware did not match and we were only given a fork, I had to ask for a knife. not ideal. I've harped on way too long about silverware and napkins, dare I mention no table clothes! The ambiance was baffling to me. It was definitely decorated by at least two individuals that had separate visions. It had both warm and white light. There was definitely some loud tables with more of a dance party club vibe and then individuals trying to have a quiet conversation with a nice steak meal. All in all. Red carpet and velvet ropes greet you at the door of Ritmo Steakhouse & Lounge and if this had been my third stop of a night out, the fit and finish may have gone unnoticed. Although the decor may not be to my taste the food is. You must have a steak. It's served on a butcher block with a mound of flaky salt ( which I add one bite at a time). Delicious! This is a difficult place to rate. The food was great which should make it easy, but the lighting was distracting. The chairs are uncomfortable. the water, which is brought to the table in a decanter( nice touch) really needs to be filtered. TVs TVs TVs. TVs on every wall. Nine in total. This would be fine in a Sports Bar where I'm eating nacho or fries. Sports Bars are about beers, buddies and sportsball games. The food is an afterthought. Had a rough experience here. We waited a long time just to see a hostess, and when we were finally seated, the table was dirty. Ordered a Margarita pizza, it came out with no tomatoes. Asked for a burger with mustard instead of the "special sauce," and the waitress had to check with the cook to see if that was even possible. They said it was, but it still came out with the sauce anyway. On top of that, the burger wasn't cooked well done like I asked. That being said it didn't taste bad. The bartender was casually drinking a beer with customers. Ketchup had a weird chemical taste. The woman next to us was literally pouring out the watery mess from her mac and cheese and said it was a 5/10. Our server was nice, but overall the experience wasn't good. read more

Well I have heard people rave about this place so my family and I went to try it out. Ambiance was nice. The steak I ordered was very undercooked for the temperature I requested (medium). I could not even eat it. My sons tacos were barely eatable. When our waiter saw that I hadn't touched my steak he asked so I showed him. It was solid purple in the middle. My wife and I went for Valentine's day. She ordered the New York and I ordered the Rib Eye steak, both steaks were too salty. My wife's steak was more salty than mine and she took most of hers and half of mine home to cook it with something else to ease the saltines. The garlic butter that we ordered to dip the steaks was even more salty, we never had anything that salty anywhere else before. We also ordered a bottle of wine that we couldn't enjoy because of the saltiness already in our mouth.
