I went to ritual right around christmas and have waited a while to write my review because I couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong. and then I went somewhere different and realized. I saw Audrey to get my roots done. my hair is bleached all over. usually don't have any problems with my roots being orange. but they usually only tone my roots. Audrey toned my whole head. I left the salon with blue hair and orange roots. I was not a fun few weeks. I have changed back to my original salon and won't be going back to ritual. read more

I will follow my stylist Sharamey Sandidge ANYWHERE she goes. She's the greatest. I love their new location on Burnet. It's easy to find. There is plenty of parking .There a several cool restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. You know, the new place just looks and feels awesome. Bridget, the owner did a lovely job designing the new place. It is very modern and cool. Honestly, everyone at Ritual is great! Danny - He's a great stylist and does amazing things with make up. Angela Casler -one of the only people my daughter will let wax her eyebrows. Gina - their lash stylist does a REALLY great job with lash extensions. I love getting the "mini" lash service. It's a great option if you don't have a lot of time or if you want to try lash extensions before making a commitment with a full set of lashes. I highly recommend Ritual Salon. My entire family goes to Ritual for haircuts and color with Sharamey but we love EVERYONE there! You should check it out! read more

I am lucky enough to say I've found it! First of all, the owner, Bridget, is an extremely friendly and approachable person who is genuinely worried about great costumer satisfaction. This salon has an amazing atmosphere, a vast number of different hair products and most importantly, the best stylist I ever had: Sharamey. Angela is absolutely amazing! She's been doing my hair (and my mom's hair) for seven years now, and she really is an artist. Erica Cantu is the best stylist I've ever had. She is very intuitive in that she reads what styles will shape you the best. This was very helpful for me, someone who always has trouble communicating exactly how I want my hair cut, but know exactly how I want it to look. She is also chill and funny and a fun person to spend a 30 minute appointment with. I just moved from Austin to Colorado, and was super bummed to give up such a great stylist. But she told me I could call her any time with a hair emergency! Rad person who is excellent at what she does. Ritual is a great salon. What a great place! I have been getting my hair done with Danny for years and experienced his new spot yesterday! The space is so beautiful and spacious! And I must say, my favorite part was having a mimosa in hand while I'm being pampered! Seriously, what more can a girl ask for? Plus, they carry Davines which is by far my favorite product line ever! I am a bit of an oddity in that I never used to get my hair cut at the same place twice (even if I liked it). That all changed after I went to Ritual Salon. Suzanne has been cutting my hair for a few years now and I am staying put. She's chopped it all off, colored it, made it look like it has volume (which is miraculous) and several other things for which I am super grateful. I hesitate to recommend her as highly as I'd like for fear that I might have to fight to get an appointment with her in the future, but for the greater good of good hair, I will do it anyway. Ritual just moved to a new fabulous location on Burnet and I am SO glad they did - as they are now close to my home. It is beautiful and bright and sunny and stylin - but I would go to Rachal Robicheaux if she did hair from a port-o-potty. Rachal is Texas Monthly's Best Stylist in Texas for Spilling Your Guts To 2012 - and she also happens to be the best stylist in the world. Once I found Rachal, I quit thinking about my hair. I no longer try different styles and wait for the bad judgement to grow out. I just let her do what she will and my hair is healthier, easier to style and looks better than it has ever looked. Plus, the whole experience is just fun. I used to dread having my hair done. I hated sitting there while someone worked on my head...now it is over too soon. I laugh myself silly, enjoy a mimosa, chat with other stylists and their clients - it is flat out fun. I know what it is like to be searching for a new stylist. If you're in that boat, do yourself a favor and call Ritual and book Rachal - I promise you'll never be in that boat again. I would fly to another city to see her if she moved, seriously. Also, and this is a HUGE plus, they're about to get Oribe products - the very best the world has to offer...I can stop buying online! read more

About 6 weeks after I had my haircut with Brett Wilson, I'm still really happy with my hair! I moved to Austin from Seattle 8 months ago and had the same stylist for about 10 years, so I was weary about finding a new go-to hair person. I am not really that picky about my hair, though I do have very high expectations of service and quality, because I worked in a 5-star salon for many years. I also tend to have very non-traditional or weird asymmetrical haircuts and I find that inexperienced stylists are often thrown for a loop when I sit in their chair. Brett reshaped, cleaned up, and re-envisioned my hair and it's still growing back in a manageable way. He is also a skilled professional, has a fun personality, and really cares about his clients. What else could I ask for? The salon is pretty cute and comfortable as well. I will definitely be back, because I trust Brett! read more

I have been going here on and off for years and have yet to find a place better, nor do I think I will! Willow is an extremely talented colorist and stylist. She has taken me from pink/brown to blonde to red, one length to layers, to bangs, and I would trust her to do that all again and more. Cannot recommend her enough. The only reason I ever looked elsewhere was because I prefer to have my hair done after working hours during the week, which she does not offer. After trying a couple other places which were ok, but didn't WOW me, I've realized sacrificing weekend time to have Willow do my hair is well worth it. read more

I usually like my hair to show off a really good cut but this time had left it for over two years and it was a long, knotty, mess. Audry at Ritual Salon was very patient as she brushed out all the knots. We looked over the photos I had brought in to help explain my thoughts on a new style. Audry gave me great feedback as to what she thought would work for me and we agreed on a short-medium style. As long chunks of hair started to gather on the floor I found Audry to be chatty but not overly so, pleasant and interesting to talk to. Maya N. has been my stylist for years, and I am a very difficult client. Thick, heavy hair with a mind of its own. Past traumatic experiences have had me either with a great cut (but the stylist was psychotic) or a lovely experience, but I looked like phyllis diller. Maya excels at both finding the sylistic edge between what I can live with professionally and a contemporary look, and at being engaging without overwhelming. I've been going to Angela for my haircuts for about half a year now. She does amazing cuts! I get compliments for weeks, even months afterwards -which says a lot. A decent haircut will always look amazing when you leave the salon, but a GREAT haircut will keep getting compliments for much longer. I have been going elsewhere for color (since it's much cheaper to go to a beauty school), but I've decided to get my next color appointment done with Angela (since she has advanced training in color). And I can't wait :) Also, Angela is really understanding of the fact that I've been going somewhere else for color.. she doesn't get possessive or crazy like other stylists tend to do. We openly talk about what she thinks, and she also gives tips/suggestions about how to keep the richness in my hightlights -even though she didn't personally do them. How caring is that?! She really cares about helping me improve, and care for, my hair. Also worth mentioning.. They have a small parking lot. Did I mention small? In fact, I almost backed up into a car that was double-parked behind me. Make sure you get there ahead of time to get a spot. Love this place! I will keep going back :) read more
