    Pork 8 Egg Rolls
    Leilani M.

This is a small little spot on the corner of N. Torrey Pines & West Lake Mead. After seeing their video on TikTok, I came out to show my support for this business. While I was waiting, the lovely older woman there gave me an Iced Thai tea (free of charge). She informed me it was for being patient and waiting. This is a "mom & pop" business and so it will not be as quick as other places. But that is ok! You wanna know why?! Well for starters, their appetizer of 8 pork egg rolls is delicious, not soggy & has that crisp crunch when biting into them. Secondly, their Shrimp Pad See Ew is Chef's kiss!!! Third, their crab fried rice is da bomb.com especially when you add chili oil on it!! I gotta say, their prices are amazing as well. Now, to be honest, if you don't want to wait, then call your order in because I see that the owner makes sure those orders are done & ready for pick up. If you have time to wait (like I did)...then be patient, sit back & relax, and wait for the most delicious Thai food ever!!! I put that on my mama, hands down 100%!!! The saying is: the best things comes to those that wait & that is the truth! If you love Thai food & spice....come & check them out. I promise you, your tastebuds will love it!!!

    Crab Rangoon & egg rolls

I made the drive to this family owned restaurant after seeing it on Tik Tok. The service was great! I ordered ahead of time so when I arrived, we only had to wait a little bit. The owner was very welcoming. The food was made fresh to order. We live 30 minutes away and by the time I got home, the food was still hot. Very delicious! We ordered the egg rolls, crab Rrangoon, pad see yew, and fried rice. Also ordered a Thai tea. She had made a few holes in the boxes for the crab Rangoon and the egg rolls so when I got home, they were still crunchy! The food was very delicious. I'm definitely going back!

4 Chicken Satay and Egg Roll

There's a lot of great things about this new place. First, a late night (open til midnight!) place in the NW. Most Thai places close around 9-9:30pm in the area so River 9's new extended hours are a huge plus! The service - owners are VERY nice, very cordial and really trying to earn your business. They quoted me 20 min on the take out and it was spot on. I walked in and my food was being bagged up. The food - Chicken Satay comes with four skewers and a peanut sauce. The chicken had good flavor but a little over done so it was slightly chewy/tough. The peanut sauce had good flavor, it is very thick though. I decided to loosen up the sauce a little at home with some hot water and it was a perfect consistency after that. Chicken Fried Rice - good flavor and they give you a really big portion. They do have some different veggies in the fried rice including peas and Lima beans and corn. While interesting, I didn't mind it and I thought the flavor of the fried rice was really good! The Pad Kapao was also very flavorful, great taste. Overall, a solid new place (just opened 6 months ago!) for take out!

This is a small mom and Pop restaurant the owner was very nice and great costumer service !

This is NOT an authentic Thai restaurant. The food is full, no flavor whatsoever. Probably the worst Thai food I have ever had

This one's definitely worth it. Their servings are larger than other asian restaurants out there, and needless to say, the flavor doesn't suffer from it either. This has now become one of my absolute Lao/Thai places in the valley. The food tastes homecooked, and again, hefty servings. The service is also fairly good, and the server is very attentive. It is quite a drive for me but I will frequest this place like no other. It is worth the mileage. We had the boat noodles, thai sausage, raw larb (YES!! one of the places that carry this), pad see ew.. ALL were delicious. Due to the good portions, we actually had food leftover to eat the next day! Quite a LV gem, will always recommend.

It's a casual spot, family-owned, and known for introducing Americans to Northern Thai cuisine. The sai oua ($24) was a Northern style sausage with a bit of spice and lots of herbaceousness. The garlic prawns ($36) are a popular dish which were fried but contained both the meat and the shell; it was garlicky, crispy, and had good flavor. The drunken noodles ($21) were on the sweeter side and not spicy at all. The khao soi ($22) was also on the sweeter side and was coconut-y. I typically see braised chicken meat in khao soi but this one came with the same kind of thinly-sliced meat seen in the drunken noodles and other stir fries. For drinks, the espresso martini ($17) was good. The thai tea was a bit watered down and had less sugar than normal, even for someone who likes drinks with less sweetness. Even though it's a huge space, I recommend making reservations ahead of time. It might have a significant importance but I've had better Thai restaurants.

I ordered Laos Style Papaya Salad with Rice Noodle and the Pad Prik King, beef , both Level 3 of 5 spicy level. The front of the restaurant had a Fair warning stating "Authentic Thai spicy" so order accordingly. I can handle spicy but kept it medium this time lol. Spoiler alert it wasn't spicy for me lol. Definitely hit the spot though. The Lao style papaya with vermicelli was not authentic Lao style. Lacked in Fermented fish sauce, and could've used some crab paste. Flavorful but tasted closer to Thai style. ( Lao person here) The Pad prik king was Delicous, good ratio of meat to veggie mix, came with a side of steamed rice with is always a nice bonus. Adding a fried egg elevates the dish too. Overall very tasty. Would feed anyone's Thai food cravings. Would eat here again, and definitely recommended.

After scouring the menu, we opted for the Shrimp with Pepper Sauce and the Mixed Vegetables with Shrimp. Spice level we went with 8 and 9 respectively. I found my spice to be perfect (9), my fiance thought the 8 was a little mild. The flavor of both of our dishes was great though! The pepper sauce was deep and well developed, while the sauce in the mixed vegetables was good but paled in comparison.
