Thai food is one of those guilty pleasures I have zero actual guilt over at all, especially with wonderful places like Thai Spoon available to thrill the palate. It's a pretty unassuming store from the outside, but inside you will find a clean, cosy, and very nicely decorated environment with lots of booths and tables - a great place for both a romantic meal or a family or friends get together. I also order takeout and delivery from here, and am always impressed at how well they package the food, and also like that they use more eco friendly materials than many places. The main event of course is the food - and it never fails to hit the spot, everything has a wonderful aroma and flavor and I have never been disappointed with any dish from here, The Pad Thai is one of the best I have ever had with lovely thick rice noodles, complimented with egg, green onion, bean sprouts and your choice of protein. Curry options of course include the standard red, yellow, and green varieties as well as some specialty options. My personal favorites are the red curry which is chili based and the yellow curry which is turmeric based and also contains potato, both of course again with your choice of protein. For something a bit lighter, I also recommend the Pad See Ewe, it's similar to Pad Thai but more of a broccoli dish with less emphasis on the noodles. With all dishes they let you select a spice level, I personally go with level 8 out of 10, but I really enjoy hot and spicy food so you may want to start lower! Overall this is some of the best Thai food in the area, and one that I heartily recommend any Thai or spicy food enthusiast to give a try. read more

Thai fried rice should should be very few ingredients oil, garlic, protein, egg, rice, fish sauce, green onion, soy, pepper, maybe some cilantro, cucumber, and that weird sliced tomato that most people throw out but is oddly expected. This seemed more like a game of how many random items can we throw in the rice Cashews, mango, avocado, and a super strong curry taste. The flavor and texture was everywhere. The mango sticky rice was extremely good flavor along with the Thai tea. So it wasn't all bad. Sadly I will not be ordering from this place again as Thai fried rice is my favorite dish. read more

Just a quick update since it has been about 4 years. We visited on Wednesday, for lunch, with a party of 6 adults and 4 kids and it was a very nice experience. We arrived with a reservation, which surprised the host, but were seated right away after a few tables were moved. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and entrees. All the food was hot, fresh and tasty. Everything came out in a timely fashion as well. The service was excellent. The servers kept up with refills and clearing plates. The military discount was also appreciated. We came in on a Saturday Afternoon around 4:30 and we were seated right away. It was actually pretty empty but picked up later. The decor is nice and everything seemed clean. They had random music videos playing on the television which entertained my girls for bit since it was a lot of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Everything we had hit the spot. I started with a Thai milk tea which I get everytime I eat Thai food. It was refreshing. I love that the crab wontons are just crab and cream cheese. No unnecessary onions. They had no problem giving me Chow Mein with no vegetables. It was really good too. My husband enjoyed his basil beef. He noted he would get a spice level lower than five next time. We had a private reception here last weekend. They were able to accommodate a party of 50. With two weeks notice , prior to the event we picked out the menu that would be served to our party. Visiting Vegas for a family get together and had a craving for some good Thai food. I read some local reviews and this place had 4.4 stars. It was near our hotel so we gave it a shot. The parking lot is a little tight, but there are plenty of spots. The interior is very pleasant, with Thai decor throughout. We were seated immediately and brought water and menus. The menu is extensive, with many options (including vegetarian). We ordered a large Singha beer to share and the fresh spring rolls with shrimp. The beer was ice cold and very refreshing. The spring rolls had a great presentation and were served with a warm peanut sauce. The rolls were large and stuffed full of delicious veggies and plump shrimp. The sauce was very flavorful, but I would have liked a crunchy peanut version. For entrees, I ordered the Kao Soi and my wife had chicken Pad Thai. The serving sizes were huge! The Kao Soi was nuts on authentic. It was full of all the right flavors, the noodles were fresh and chewy, and the curry broth was incredible. The wife's Pad Thai was very flavorful, with that street food hot wok taste. It was too much and she couldn't finish it all. Next time we'll share an entree since the ports are so large. The appropriate amounts of silverware and napkins were included and it was all packed nicely in a brown paper bag that was labeled with the business name and stapled shut with the receipt. After placing the order over the phone, it took about 15 min for the food to be ready. Pad see ew was good- not overcooked and the noodles weren't stuck to each other. Chinese broccoli was used. Thai Spoon Las Vegas is located in the North/West part of town. This is a full service Thai Restaurant that offers most of your usual Thai Dishes and also offers more seafood dishes. We started out by sharing chicken potstickers. These were crispy all over with very mild moist chicken inside. The seabass panang was very good. The fish was cooked masterfully with.a perfect sear and the fish melted in your mouth. The curry was also good and the #7 out of 10 I thought was a just right heat level for this dish. We both thought that the spicy basil (chicken & beef) had good flavors to it but it was Nevada Style ground meat texture that we are not used to. Not that this is a bad thing but it's a texture thing for us. All the Thai places that I've been to in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and California that we've been to either hand chops the proteins for spicy basil or just sliced the proteins......But I have noticed in Nevada several places do serve this dish with ground meat so I'm thinking that ground meat is Nevada Style. Made a carry out order within the restaurant. Customer service was friendly and I was greeted by two people. The ambiance was very nice; small waiting room with a comfy couch to wait for take out orders or a table when it's busy. The seating area is nice as well with the lights lowly lit, making it a romantic night if you're looking for a date night. I ordered the red curry (spicy level 4) and the vegan spring rolls. The food was nicely packaged in a bag with a cute sticker on it and everything was secured tightly when I got home. I LOVE spicy food, but every Thai place usually has a different level of spice. I had a 4 and I probably could have gone up to a 5 or 6 at the most. My nose wasn't watering so I know 4 was a bit tame for me, however the food was hot when I got home and incredibly delicious. The spring rolls come in a pack of 4 wrapped in Saran Wrap in pairs with a peanut sauce. They were super delicious and the curry and rolls were easy to split amongst two people. I went on a date and we shared the Fresh Spring Rolls with Tofu, the Tom Kha soup with veggies and added rice noodles, and the Yellow Curry (veggie). Everything was fantastic. We were craving Thai food and decided to try Thai Spoon for the first time! We ordered takeout online via Toast and the ordering process was simple. We were told our food would be ready within 25-30 minutes, but we were surprised when we got a text 15 minutes later that our food was ready! We ordered chicken pad Thai, yellow curry, and pepper garlic beef. For these 3 dishes, we paid $50 (after getting $5 off online). Unfortunately, this was extremely expensive for the amount of food you get. The pepper garlic beef wasn't full (as seen in the photo), which is disappointing for an $18 dish. The curry ($17) was also in a pretty small container and had an uneven chicken to vegetable ratio. It's unfortunate that the food is so expensive because it's really good! It was all delicious, and the flavors were well developed. We got spice level 2 for all dishes and wish we went a bit spicier. It still added a little heat, which was great. I really hope they improve their portion sizes in the near future because I would love to come back! read more
