    Chicken yellow curry
    Kimberly B.

Very interesting service tonight. Was looking forward to seeing the nice couple only to be greeted and taken care of by a man who doesn't speak English. I only took away 1 star because I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt but I have no idea why that man was taking care of everything by himself. He was nice and hardworking but someone taking orders should be able to communicate and he should be taught how to serve. After ordering he had us pay right away even though we were dining in -- never had to do this before also we tip on service so that's kind of weird. The egg rolls were not as good as they used to be. Yellow curry was not yellow. Forgot to give us another rice. Didn't give any additional plates to eat on or share food. Didn't give the drinks first. Only gave us spoons until we asked for forks. And was bringing dishes out one bye one. I feel bad cause I really liked this place and I hope the best for them but I hope this was a one time thing. The man also took orders for these girls then went to the back to cook, completely ignoring a lady who was waiting behind them. That lady waited 10-15 minutes and ended up leaving. I hope the owners see this in case this is a regular thing, hopefully they can take care of it now because I want them to do good.

    Pork 8 Egg Rolls

This is a small little spot on the corner of N. Torrey Pines & West Lake Mead. After seeing their video on TikTok, I came out to show my support for this business. While I was waiting, the lovely older woman there gave me an Iced Thai tea (free of charge). She informed me it was for being patient and waiting. This is a "mom & pop" business and so it will not be as quick as other places. But that is ok! You wanna know why?! Well for starters, their appetizer of 8 pork egg rolls is delicious, not soggy & has that crisp crunch when biting into them. Secondly, their Shrimp Pad See Ew is Chef's kiss!!! Third, their crab fried rice is da bomb.com especially when you add chili oil on it!! I gotta say, their prices are amazing as well. Now, to be honest, if you don't want to wait, then call your order in because I see that the owner makes sure those orders are done & ready for pick up. If you have time to wait (like I did)...then be patient, sit back & relax, and wait for the most delicious Thai food ever!!! I put that on my mama, hands down 100%!!! The saying is: the best things comes to those that wait & that is the truth! If you love Thai food & spice....come & check them out. I promise you, your tastebuds will love it!!!

4 Chicken Satay and Egg Roll

There's a lot of great things about this new place. First, a late night (open til midnight!) place in the NW. Most Thai places close around 9-9:30pm in the area so River 9's new extended hours are a huge plus! The service - owners are VERY nice, very cordial and really trying to earn your business. They quoted me 20 min on the take out and it was spot on. I walked in and my food was being bagged up. The food - Chicken Satay comes with four skewers and a peanut sauce. The chicken had good flavor but a little over done so it was slightly chewy/tough. The peanut sauce had good flavor, it is very thick though. I decided to loosen up the sauce a little at home with some hot water and it was a perfect consistency after that. Chicken Fried Rice - good flavor and they give you a really big portion. They do have some different veggies in the fried rice including peas and Lima beans and corn. While interesting, I didn't mind it and I thought the flavor of the fried rice was really good! The Pad Kapao was also very flavorful, great taste. Overall, a solid new place (just opened 6 months ago!) for take out!

    Crab Rangoon & egg rolls

I made the drive to this family owned restaurant after seeing it on Tik Tok. The service was great! I ordered ahead of time so when I arrived, we only had to wait a little bit. The owner was very welcoming. The food was made fresh to order. We live 30 minutes away and by the time I got home, the food was still hot. Very delicious! We ordered the egg rolls, crab Rrangoon, pad see yew, and fried rice. Also ordered a Thai tea. She had made a few holes in the boxes for the crab Rangoon and the egg rolls so when I got home, they were still crunchy! The food was very delicious. I'm definitely going back!

Got drunk and noodle and fried chicken wings to go. Drunken noodle was flavorful noodles were soft and portions was big for only $12 Fried chicken was marinated, crispy and they are decently sized, definitely will get again! This is a small mom and Pop restaurant the owner was very nice and great costumer service !

Mood- After Dentist Lunch Date with the Son While we are in the final stages of orthodontic procedures, my sons mouth is sore. So he usually wants something soft. This particular occasion he had a permanent rubber band put on and the pain was off the scale for him. So soup is what he craved. Upon entering was quickly greeted and given a menu to look over. It is a take away place. So you order, pay, and wait in the designated area until your food is done. We opted for the Wonton Soup, Egg Rolls and Thai Tea. I love Thai Tea when it's done right. This Tea was truly on point. It really hit the spot on this hot afternoon. The Soup was very well put together. So many wontons were in it. We were both highly pleased. While we were sitting in the waiting area, we were brought out the tea. This place could def get congested if alot of people are ordering at the same time. However the turn around time to receive the food was quick. Music was playing in the background. Would recommend- pricing is typical for the food and this new inflation. The customer service is what truly got me. They were so courteous and hospitable. Everything was packed perfectly for the ride home. Location is Lake Mead/ Torrey Pines - ample parking

Last night I ordered Penang curry, spicy eggplant with tofu, sticky rice and their spring rolls to go and I was SO disappointed in the quality (or lack thereof) of their spring rolls. And the spring roll sauce is just their Penang curry or at least tastes very similar to it; it's not an actual peanut sauce!! The Penang curry was extremely sweet and to be honest with you. I threw away most of it. I'm just confused because when I've dined in and gotten their pad Thai lunch special, it was mostly OK. But ordering takeout? I will NEVER do it again. This experience really made me question their food standards.

We went during lunch and what I first noticed is how large and nice the place was. There are plenty of seating options and the staff were friendly, however, service was a little slower than expected. Maybe it's because we went at a time when it was less busy. The crab wontons are a MUST! I almost didn't want to share they were that good and I think if they brought me out 20 of these, I would be elated. They were crispy yet moist. Unfortunately, they were out of rib eye when I visited so I settled for their sliced beef in the garlic pepper sauce. We also ordered a chicken entree but I can't remember how it was prepared. I wanted to enjoy these dishes but they were just okay. The garlic pepper sauce could have used some more garlic flavoring and the meat wasn't as tender as I would have expected. Nothing stood out to me but it was definitely still yummy enough for me to want to come back and try out different dishes.

Despite of the selections, we usually go with our go-tos. We couldn't ask for a better meal. Everything was delish with a few exceptions. 1. Panang Curry lunch special that comes with soup, salad, wonton, and rice - taste and flavor were just okay, but portions were quite adequate 2. We were greeted by a Hispanic waitress and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar, but chose to sit at a table. Another group of 4 was seated immediately after us, and she was very friendly with them and immediately served them water first and took their orders. A different Asian waitress took our order and asked what we wanted to drink, which was odd IMO. The place is a restaurant bar and the music is really loud, you can't hear yourself think or talk to your group. The chicken in the pa prik curry dish was oddly soft like melt in your mouth texture, I thought it was tofu. I didn't taste any flavor in the dish, there was literally only the red curry paste taste. My brother in law ordered the beef ox tail noodle soup and it tasted weird like they just threw the broth in from a separate pot with the meat and noodles. The broth was also bitter and sour because they put a big piece of lime in the bowl. There was absolutely no other flavor. We rated this 0 stars unfortunately because even your typical top ramen at home is way better. My sister's pad Thai was very spicy as she ordered, so she thinks it's why it tasted okay. She rated it 2 stars. My husband ordered the tom yum soup and that tasted fine, just like how it usually does, but we don't normally eat that so 3 stars for tom yum soup.
