My son and I were the only customers in the joint. Three young women were sitting down waiting for customers when we walked in. Place was OK clean, bathrooms were clean. It took 5 minutes and our order was served to our table! Our food was hot, fresh and there was a lot of food! Burgers in a pretzel bun! So good we ordered another round of burgers! First receipt $28.13, two burgers, two large fries and two large drinks. Second receipt $20.70. We had the cheese burger and the second time we had the River burger! They even made a vegetarian version! The presentation of the food was over the top. You knew they took time to prepare it and they too would eat here! Coming here every time we are in Morgan!

    All meat breakfast burrito

Stopped here for a breakfast burrito on our way out of Ogden area for camping. We got the all meat breakfast burrito which had ham, sausage, potatoes, egg and cheese. It was good but not my favorite. Kinda bland but not bad. Could have used more meat. Barely any cheese also. Also, I'm a Germaphobe. That being said I walked into this place and felt dirty immediately. Some of the tables were alittle dirty at 10 am. Windows had finger prints all over them. Now, don't base your decision on my first time and only time going here. Some of the other comments like this place. This is just based on my first and only time. Now, will I go back? Probably not but that's just me. I'm giving it 3 stars cause I haven't tasted their other food. Therefore cleanliness minus 1 star and my burrito minus 1 star.

Pastrami burger, covered in thick pastrami. Great fries.

This was awesome, thanks Fernie. Thick slices of pastrami, some great fries. And a very nice small town place.

Worst burger I ever had. The shakes are made with artificial flavors and are awful. Never will go back

Yes, they do. Not a huge selection, but a decent variety.

The shop is about an hour and a half away from where I live. So I called ahead because I wanted to make sure there would still be cheesecakes available to buy. The girl that helped me on the phone was super sweet and guaranteed that my cheesecakes would be ready and available upon my arrival. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and I was immediately drawn to the glowing lights with beautiful baked goods! I ordered a peanut butter cheesecake, a raspberry New York cheesecake, a caramel cashew cheesecake, and a cookie dough cheesecake. This cheesecake is super smooth and "coat the top of your mouth" thick. Next time I go to Taggart's I want to try their food menu as well - everything looked incredible!!

Call up to 30 minutes in advance of arrival to be put on the waitlist. Our server was sweet and helpful and quick to bring out our food, which was great since we were all starving from our earlier rafting trip down the Weber River. I had the fish and chips and shared it with my bestie who in turn shared her mushroom Swiss burger with me. The fish and chips and chips had four average size pieces of battered halibut with some batter coated fries. The uniformed size and shape leads me to believe they are frozen. Nevertheless they still had a good flavor. For the side that comes with the meal, I chose the Parmesan and artichoke soup. It was tasty but would have been better if it was hotter. The burger was perfectly cooked and came with our side choice of onion rings our friend had gotten the Cobb salad sandwich which came on pita bread. I didn't try it but she said the white meat chicken was moist and had a good flavor but was a little too big for her (not a bad problem in my opinion) They have a beautiful desert cake and seem to specialize in mini individual cheesecakes in a wide variety of flavor options. We went with the keylime and peanut butter. The keylime was ok but in my opinion not tart enough and the very vibrant green color implies to me that the key lime flavor is artificial. The peanut butter cheesecake though was definitely a hit.

But the service was awful! We walked in around 2 or so for lunch on a Monday. It was crowded. Several staff walked past us waiting at the counter for a seat and didn't say a peep to us. Finally a woman appeared and said she'd be with us shortly. She came back and when it asked if we could sit on the patio she told me it was closed because in the morning it had been cold. It was in the 70's at 2pm?! She sat us at a table next to a support beam and it felt very tight. Chairs were not very comfortable and the table was wobbly. It was very warm in the restaurant and very loud. We sat for 15-20 minute without a single person acknowledging us. I was about to get up and leave when finally a waitress came for our order. My husband enjoyed his Back 40 burger commenting on how juicy it was but expected more flavor. I ordered a Garden salad which was really good. Carrots were huge, tomatoes were yummy and like I said earlier the greens were so crisp and so fresh. My daughter had the chicken tenders and seriously the chicken was so tender and tasted fresh unlike grocery store chicken. The views are amazing!

Parking is all street parking, and during peak dinner hours it can definitely be hit or miss. We ended up parking a bit farther away and walking over. Service was a little messy during our visit, but I could also tell the staff was trying their best. It seemed like there was only one person taking orders and handling the front, and she looked pretty flustered on a busy night. I also suspect the kitchen may have been understaffed. For appetizers, we ordered the ravioli and the baguette au gratin. Both were delicious. The ravioli was definitely my favorite of the night. It was super rich and heavy, so sharing it was the right move. The baguette itself tasted good, but the cheese on top was cold and had already solidified. It felt like it had been premade and quickly assembled before serving. For our mains, we ordered the duck breast and the beef bourguignon. This is where I really started feeling like the kitchen was struggling a bit. Both dishes came out surprisingly fast, but unfortunately the duck, mashed potatoes, and even the gravy were cold. Not just cooled down, but genuinely cold like they had been sitting out for a while and not kept under a warming lamp. The beef bourguignon was the warmest dish we received, though even that was only lukewarm. The frustrating part is that the flavors were actually really good. The food itself was delicious, but the temperature of almost every dish really took away from the experience.

As you step inside, you can immediately tell that the establishment is well managed. Everything is beautiful and the staff and quick to welcome you with a smile and seat you. Even in 90-degree-weather days, the coolness from the fountains splashing and numerous nearby trees and bushes make the experience very pleasant with even a slight breeze. The entrees are reasonably priced and very tempting, it's a challenge to choose what to eat. My suggestion? Give the wait staff an idea of your favorites and ask them to make a suggestion. Both times I've been here, I ordered what they suggested and it was amazing. The seafood, sauces and flavors are elegant and well executed. They have lots of options for seafood lovers and those who love it less. On my latest trip, I got the Prawn Scampi. We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.
