I also ordered an appetizer of their sweet potato waffle fries. My mom ordered a prime-angus burger, with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles. My dad also ordered a prime-angus burger, with american cheddar, lettuce, pickles, fries, and slaw. Their menu states their burgers are fresh, never frozen, and they're correct! This place is iconic in myrtle Beach I remember eating here for the first time 25 years ago while on vacation with a friend and his family and not much has changed since ,the food is still great and peanuts are still shelled and thrown on the floor. The staff was incredibly rude. The food is not good enough for anyone to be acting like that. We understand that it's busy on the weekend before the 4th but the woman at the host stand was extremely unprofessional. The walls are covered with license plates which also make for a fun way to pass the time, although our service was really good and the wait for our food was minimal. The burgers were excellent--moist and flavorful. The turkey burger was comparably good, which is impressive since they are often dry. The chicken tenders are big and are not the kind that come from the freezer department, however the coating was a little greasier than I like. Confirmed the phone number with them and the number for their location was correct. They made me feel like them losing my order was fault and that I had called the wrong location. Can't enough positives about this local area "cafe." My wife and I had burgers that were literally "out of this world." They were cooked as requested, tasty, and more than ample in size. The order of onion rings (only 5 in number) easily satisfied. Not only were they delicious, but the rings were larger than my wife's hand. Service was absolutely TOPS. Adam went above and beyond what is offered from eateries these days, asking us often if everything was okay, keeping us appraised of any kitchen delays, and even willingly getting us information about the pricey local sales tax (11%). Visited this place while staying in South Carolina from Florida. It was really fun. Tons of autographs all over the walls. The food was delicious. Our waitress took awesome care of us, and the hosted sat us really quick. First and foremost, our family of 4 ordered 4 different burgers. All 4 got 5 star reviews. Hence, the overall 4 star review. If not for the burgers and our server, Steph, we'd likely have left dissatisfied as so many other patrons around us seemed to be doing as well. The hostess and another lady were not very welcoming. In fact, one lady addressed our young daughter directly advising her "you need to get your mask on" while we were standing outside on the front steps. Now, don't get us wrong. We are fully supportive of this mask movement for the sake of COVID. Our daughter had her mask in hand and very well knew already the protocol of wearing a mask inside buildings. She was fully prepared. That lady was completely rude and out of line addressing our daughter DIRECTLY as opposed to me or my husband. That left an unwelcome feeling for us as we were about to enter this establishment to give our money to. The unwelcomness continued as we were directed to enter a doorway to the right of the main entrance, that once inside we were facing the kitchen where an employee was...not wearing a mask. No, we didn't say anything. We're not pot stirrers. But we did not receive direction of where to go from there. We looked around to see the same rude lady standing well across the room waving menus at us, as if motioning us to come towards her. Ummmmm, we'd never been to this place before, but pretty sure a good hostess would go to the customer to advise "follow me" rather than standing and waving us down. The establishment has a VERY unfortunate situation in controlling FLIES for their outdoor seating. We were SWARMED with flies once our food arrived. I'm not talking 4 or 5. I mean, swarmed with fearless, ruthless flies in the 20-30 range. The damn things were all over our food and us. They'd land on our burger as we'd go in for a bite! When we asked our server Steph about them, she said the best she could do was to give us to-go boxes for our food so that we could close the lids between bites. AMAZING difference!!! Steph for the win! Someone there give Steph a huge high 5 for this idea and absolutely implement this idea across the board for all outdoor dining until you can get some fly traps set. This is a must for our family whenever we vacation in MB. It's right down the road from our hotel. I love that we can walk there and back. A little bit of exercise to burn off those calories! Don't mind the peanut shells on the floor! It's part of the ambiance people. I don't think I've found a burger here that I don't like. Everyone that I've tried has been great! Perfectly cooked and fresh from the kitchen. The staff members have always provided top notch customer service and are always on the ball. I have been to RCC many times where the wait times have been awful, I have seen several families just up and leave or show immense frustration with the staff. The worst dining experience i've ever had! Me and 6 of my friends made a reservation for dinner, were seated, and almost immediately asked to be sat indoors because it was going to rain. After being told it'd be 15-45 minutes to be moved (as if we were just making a reservation then) we sat and waited for half an hour before it started downpouring. We were then scolded by the manager of the establishment and were told that we werent put on any waiting list to be seated indoors. Delicious burgers - tasted like it was right off the grill. Loved all the interesting choices of how they offer their burgers too. We all tried something new and different. I needed and asked for a gluten free bun, but they don't offer them. No problem- I just ordered mine without the bun. Fries and slaw were also yummy. Went here for dinner on a Monday night and there was an hour long wait. Thankfully, there was a 2 top available at the bar. Our waiter just had way too many things going on. He got our drink and food orders quickly, but that was pretty much the last we saw of him. A different waiter brought our food, and our original server (or anyone else for that matter) never came to check on us or even looked our way. They also ran out of sweet tea at dinner time, so we never got refills and they still charged us. We had to flag him down to get our check, which also took forever to get. Sat inside and was amazed from the moment I entered the place, the license plates that cover the walls bring an exciting atmosphere! There are plenty of places to sit inside or outside, the waiters were very fast to serve us and very polite. I ordered the Cheesy Cheese Burger I believe , it was so delicious and only around $8!!!! I went to this location because it was close to our hotel. Have been to another one many times and it was fantastic. Because of the COVID, we had to sit outside. The flies were terrible- not saying one or two- I promise we had at least 20-30 flies dive bombing us. When you see 5 flies on your straw and you can't eat because you are constantly shooing away the flies...well- I'm giving it two stars because the food is good. I was going to complain to the manager but I heard him yell at the man who was complaining ahead of me...who ever owns this business needs to talk to his manager- there were three tables that left early that night. We all heard him yell when he was told it was dirty outside. It is dirty. Maybe you should put some fans out there- this is the first negative review I've ever written btw-and it's because I expect more from you- why you would allow a manager to yell at a customer (and he (the manager)didn't have mask on either- ) just left a nasty impression overall. Our waitress, Annette C, was not a good waitress or maybe just not having a good day and took it out on our table! We got our appetizers but NO REFILLS until me ask for them. When she ask if we would all be on the same ticket, we replied, "No". Then she told us to hold on (she stepped to the side while shaking her head!!!) when the food finally came out after 25mins, she gave 3 out of 7 of us the wrong food in which we didn't notice until taking a bite out of the food but still charged everyone for what they ordered and had an attitude.
