Stopped at the Marina while out on a motorcycle ride. Decided to check out the restaurant and we are so glad we did!! Chose the BBQ sandwich (smoked in-house) and it was delicious, even without the sauce! The service was excellent and staff was friendly and welcoming. We were taking some back roads just messing around and accidentally found this place. It's an open restaurant located on the Intercoastal Waterway. Lots of items to choose from. I got the wings and they were delicious! This place has a great view and I saw a sign where they also have concerts. Our server was very nice and attentive and kept the drinks coming. .... So my Bride and I decided to take a different rout to the beach to break up the monotony. We had been looking for a place to eat lunch and Micky Ds was not on the list. I spotted a sign to Bucksport Marina Bar and Grill. It was a 3 mile detour but it was worth it. Bucksport is a Marina / Bar & Grill on the Intercostal Waterway. There is a large outdoor area with 2 Bars as well as an indoor section. They have a Stage where they bring in bands on the weekend. The Tams are playing there 8/11/18. Trying to figure out out to get back to se them. On to the food. We were told to find a table so we chose one near the Bar. Rob the Bartender was over in just a minute and took our drink order. We he returned, he went over the menu and we ordered. Since we had a heavy dinner planned, we split the Fried Green Tomatoes and BBQ Wings. (both appetizers) Both were good. Rob did a great job keeping our drinks fresh. This is not a Five Star place. This is a Solid 4 Star Bar & Grill on the Intercostal Waterway. Unfortunately, you are only coming here for scenery. If only the food was as good as the atmosphere. My fiancée ordered the most awful oysters of our lives. I love the fish tacos and fried green tomatoes here! The servers are very kind and definitely take care of their customers. I'm also a boater and love the convenience of docking for lunch or dinner. The only reason I gave it a 3 stars is because of the unpredictable hours. If it's a weekend, they are open as stated on their website. But during the week, they will close randomly. I've frequently gone at 7:30 on a Thursday only to be told they are closing for the night. I understand the desire to close if there's only a few customers, but that's why... I will opt to go elsewhere during the week because I know it will be open. If they can maintain consistency during the week, they may not have to close early. read more

Very different experience this time from when they first opened up. Awesome service and our server was amazing. We ordered grilled chicken salads, aeafood nachos and a steak for Shawn. Everything came out in good tike and it was all good. I will Definately come back. Always give a place a second chance I say. I'm glad I gave this a second chance. read more

Well the crew was trying to find a new place to enjoy a good time. Well we had a great time as always cuz of the company. The food was good it just didn't give me the feeling like I needed to go back every week. We had close to 15 heads which tend to be more at times but putting 2 servers on this many people gets confusing and mistakes to be made. We had one who was regularly a bartender and the guy had no charm to him at all. Some of the couples weren't side by side to each other and he had a problem with taking orders from one end and then going to the other side that is why you have one on a table and another as a helper. Will I go back yes but not ever week once or twice a year will be fine. They had to many excuse for as many mistakes occurred. Yes the mistakes became our benefit we got more food then we paid for. Next week is bike week I know they get busy then and I hope the get there shot together. read more

I wish there was a negative # to rate this place. The Manager should be FIRED!!! Nasty all around. Went on the boat on a Sunday & stopped for a quick sandwich. The 2 girls who had the pink shirts on deserved a medal. They ran their Butts off. The red headed server seriously needs to rethink her career choice. Have Never seen anyone move that slow or try like heck to NOT work. Thank goodness she wasn't our server. The long haired brunette was almost as bad. These 2 AND the cook need to be replaced. I don't know why they ask you what you would like on your burger because they put absolutely Nothing on any of them. An over cooked hockey puck. I watched nasty looking food going out paper plate after greasy paper plate. The band started up & we watched people leave in droves. WHAT was new management thinking?!?!? They were horrified & cost the business LOTS of money. GET RID OF THE MANAGERS. Obviously this isn't working out for anyone. Pennies trickle in when it has the capability to bring big dollars in. Sincerely hope that the owners read yelp. This is a place that even John Taffer wouldn't touch. read more

Waited an hour and a half for our meal. People who came in later got their's. All our waitress did was slam my husband's onion rings down 1 hour in as if they were our appetizer (which we did order one and never got), then mumbled something about the printer running out of paper(?) and fled. Went there on the boat. Scenery, our waitress and music were great. I ordered the farm burger. Sautéed mushrooms, cheese and bacon. I asked for medium rare. They said they can't cook it medium rare. Which is law in a few southern states and I can't figure that out. Anyway the burger came back very well done. Dry, dark, no juice or flavor and the mushrooms weren't sautéed. They look like they took them out of a can and placed them on top. Very sad burger. My sisters was the same. The shrimp was great and the catfish bites also. Please fix your burgers. I love this place but will never order a burger again. read more

Service and music very good but food is what we all called (Garbage). I recommend you eat ahead of time somewhere else before you go there for drinks and music. Wings are undercooked even when we asked for crispy. Nachos for $15 and that were only worth $7 with not much ingredients on top. I told them to take the Nachos back and did not finish wing. Our friends that came on a separate boat ate the Nachos they ordered because they were hungry but complained about it later on at another bar. We left early to Enterprise Landing, took boats back home and went to a local bar to eat again. They need to redo the menu BIG time. read more

Service was disorganized. Food was at best mediocre. I ordered appetizer of chips which stated on the menu were cooked fresh and they were cold. No indication on the menu that they were sweet potatoes. Tried to eat inside of the restaurant and the noise from the kitchen was beyond loud. Wait staff would walk in from outside and yell across to the kitchen what they wanted. The eating experience was not a good . The only time I will return will be for the Music and the bar. read more

We love this place! Their fried shrimp is one of the best I've ever had and I'm originally from Maryland, so know good seafood. The breading is very light; the shrimp are never greasy and they have that perfect "fresh" shrimp flavor. The servers are prompt, friendly and amazed me by remembering what we drink even though weeks had passed between visits. They always have some kind of music on Sundays (no cover). They are friendly to bikers and the bikers are friendly to the rest of us. GREAT place! Smoking permitted outside. Great view of ICW! read more

I was looking for another restaurant but could not find it so I decided to explore a bit. I wound up at Bucksport so I tried it. Very good choice. Certainly not fancy. Small shrimp basket was ample. Cole slaw excellent with minimal dressing. Fries were very good. Service was prompt and courteous. Great views of the Waccamaw River with many passing and docked boats. read more
