This is a great quirky little place! The ambience is very eclectic & different. My kids really enjoyed being able to draw on the table & were constantly pointing at all the stuff on the walls. Our waiter, Lucas, was wonderful! He was very helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The only down fall I would say is my mushroom Swiss burger was just good, not great. The mushrooms are not sautéed, almost seemed like canned pieces of mushrooms. Other than that, the prices are reasonable and the ambiance, family friendliness, and employees make up for the sub-par food. I will return, I just will make sure to order another burger next time... We've gone to this RCC location since 1998. Ten years in a row - sometimes twice in the same vacation. Back after a 12 year break and we were thrilled beyond words. My favorite burger has always been the one with blue cheese but this time I went for a bacon cheddar cheeseburger and it was perfect. I've adjusted my eating habits in my older age lol. The huge zucchini sticks were a must have every year and I was concerned when I looked at the menu in advance because they had changed to zucchini rounds. I was thinking I'd get some soggy Carl's Jr. zucchini chips. NO WAY ..... these were huge and still panko crusted and scalding hot and amazing. I ate three and sadly left the other three but know I'll get them again every chance I can. The family had Kentucky Lemonade - very tasty. The breaded mushrooms were huge and juicy. Finally the cheese curds were real curds !! Soft and gooey. Not a processed cheese stick that tastes like wax. Get apps and drinks for a fun afternoon and come back for burgers for dinner. read more

I had high hopes, but meh . . . My spouse and I chose the shoestring specialty burger with the veggie burger instead of beef because we are trying to limit our meat consumption. Maybe that was our mistake here? Positives: the service was great and we loved the vibe of the place. It's pretty cool. The veggie burgers are NOT frozen which is nice to see. They are made in-house. The fries are good. Not sure if they are house-cut but they could be. Not fantastic. Negatives: the veggie burgers seriously need flavor. They don't really taste like anything. Our whole burger (condiments and everything) was bland. At least add some salt to the patty. I recommend a tad of puréed onion as well. I don't even love ketchup and I found myself dipping my burger in ketchup for some flavor. The burger came with string onions (thank god because that's all the flavor we got), lettuce, tomato, and special sauce that we didn't even realize was there. We had to ask for extra of the sauce for it being so dry and tasteless. This place is not a bad establishment and I can't say I wouldn't recommend it to someone because I didn't eat what they are known for. We visited for lunch during the early phases of re-opening during COVID19. The staff was professional and were taking the necessary precautions. They were very patient with our large group that included kids. The food arrived fresh and hot. Everything was exactly how we ordered it and it was delicious. The buffalo chicken bites had plenty of sauce, the burgers were perfect, and the fries were delicious. I wish the burgers came with fries but you can get a huge basket to share between 2-3 people for $3.99 The menu is an American themed with burgers and chicken so it's perfect if your group has people who are not seafood lovers. We chose inside dining but there is some patio dining available. It does not overlook the ocean but it does overlook as pool as a neighboring hotel, with fun music. The restrooms were clean and that speaks volumes to me about the rest of the place being clean. The location was easy to find and convenient to walk to from neighboring hotels. I would definitely visit again in my next trip to MB. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. What an awful experience. I understand that the restaurant is operating at a 50% capacity, but the people there shouldn't perform at 50% and honestly, what we experienced was less than that. Let me walk you through our experience, if it's TL;DR here's my advice - Drive somewhere if you're at the Sand Dunes Resort, this place is not welcoming, nor is the food worth talking about... but I will later. We all stayed at the Sand Dunes Resort, which is obviously the only reason that place is still in business. (there isn't anywhere else to walk to... and it looks like a fun place! Lies.) It's been 3 days since we were there but I can't get the rudeness of absolutely everyone that we spoke to out of my head, management should be embarrassed. We walk into the restaurant and we can't eat in, totally understand. Myrtle Beach and SC is operating at 50% capacity because of the virus. So, we opted to order take-out (45 minutes... which ended up being an hour) Not mad at them operating safely at all. What sticks in my head is how rude the hostess was, the people in the kitchen were while we were waiting for our food, and the bartender outside (We'll get to her.) After being completely over the b*tching coming from the kitchen... because that's where we had to wait to get our food. We walked out front to have a cigarette then asked if there was any seating at the outside bar (worst mistake we could have made) The bartender made us the weakest and most overpriced drinks you could have had the displeasure of drinking. After being extremely rude to my friend (we have a common theme here) we asked what drinks she would recommend. She recommended a non-alcoholic drink because, get this, the bartender doesn't drink! (This may explain the awful drinks we got) After listening to her complain about the people currently at the bar, the absence of tips, and how this was her bar so everyone could leave. I just wanted my food and hoped that would be the saving grace, it wasn't. I got the Blooming Onion (awful and just an onion covered in grease pushed through an apple slicer) and the Mac and Cheese Burger. The burger was the cheapest excuse for a burger period. The "Mac and Cheese" is literally fried box Kraft Mac and Cheese on a burger that they're supposed to be famous for... if you read their website. Both of my friends food was also less than sub par. The most disappointing thing was that it looked like a fun place with cool food, but it was neither of those things, it was the opposite. Awful experience all the way around and would advise any of my friends to never visit this establishment. Hopefully, they'll make a cleanse of this place, especially the outside bartender because every interaction with her felt forced and uncomfortable while the drinks sucked. Throw it away and start over, the location is perfect. Get people that aren't mad that they work there, including the kitchen, and whatever else it takes. Pros: The place looks cool and the menu could be awesome. Cons: It's not cool, the food was awful and so were the people that worked there. It seems like no one cares and it shows throughout the whole establishment. 0 out of 5 Stars - Do not waste your time or money. read more

Nice "at the beach" ambiance. Lunch time service was prompt and polite. Food is good but nothing special. What is special is eating on Ocean Blvd. a block off the beach. On this particular visit we had two burger platters and the fried pickle appetizer. The fried pickles were excellent. Hot, slightly browned, not greasy, served with a ranch like dip. Burgers were ok (Five Guys are better). Two large, just warm enough onion rings constituted a side order on one platter. The other burger platter came with a generous portion of room temperature French fries. We wondered if our platters sat for a bit before being served. The cold fries were promptly replaced. Somewhat pricy given the quality. $40 for coffee, tea, two burger platters and appetizer, tax and tip. But hey, your at the beach! read more

We stayed at the resort next door and being within walking distance and read reviews we decided to try it on our last night in Myrtle Beach. The food was good and tasty. The waitress was helpful. Having 3 kids under 6 with us and 4 adults the wait for the food was a bit longer than most. But ok. Now what we didn't like, it's more a shot and beer bar for spring break than a family burger joint. The staff needs to be reminded that they need to wash their hands after using the men's room! 2 waiters and 1 cook in - not one washed their hands! I was taking my kids so I saw. The women we were with wouldn't use the ladies room. They said "there was blood on the floor and gross". Take it for what it's worth. I will ALWAYS come here when i go to Myrtle Beach. Came here because our hotel was walking distance and the yelp reviews were good. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Black and Bleu Burger... Granted it took a while, but when it came it was HOT off the grill. And PACKED with flavor, perfectly cooked. All of the ingredients stood out and didn't just blend together into a blah-burger. The bacon (which i added) was thick and crunchy (flavorful), the burger patty itself had a wonderful flavor (cajun seasoned), and i added fried onion straws which on their own were damn tasty. BF had a bacon cheeseburger and had no complaints (which is rare for him). Prices were decent too.. a dollar or two less than say...Red Robin. Service was friendly, ambiance was very relaxed and chill. The family next to us said that was their third visit in 4 days and every burger they had was excellent. So worth the calories. Now that I'm back in MD, I'm sad that i won't find a burger that good until i go back to Myrtle Beach :( read more

Fantastic burgers at reasonable prices. Came in for a late lunch and received prompt and friendly service. The onion rings appetizer was phenomenal. And the Nacho Crunch Burger (topped w/ guacamole, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and DORITOS) was tremendous. Atmosphere is beachy casual, with brown paper table tops and license plates from all over the country adorning the walls. Parking was a little confusing - the spaces right in front of the restaurant were metered. But every car in the spaces seemed to have expired meters, so I wasn't sure what was going on there. I didn't drop any quarters in, but I'm pretty sure nobody else did either? Adding to the confusion was a sign on the front door that said something about parking for River City Cafe customers only. Too bad there isn't a half star, because that's what I'd give it based on our visit last night for dinner. I called just to see how long a wait it would be to get seated and they told me 30-40 minutes, which is sort of what I expected. We arrived and it didn't look too crowded and they told us it would be 20-30 minute wait. We went to the outside bar and my wife ordered a Chardonnay and I a Corona and also a Shirley temple for our granddaughter. Before he could make the Shirley Temple the waitress came out and said our seat was ready! 5 minutes. Guess they don't quite have their guesstimating correct on their seating. That was a pleasant surprise. We were seated at a table by the window and since we had our drinks we ordered an appetizer of Bloomin Onion. It came out in about 10 minutes and was served with a horseradish/mayo sauce. My wife and granddaughter thought there was too much horseradish but I liked it. We had the waitress bring us a side of ranch, which they liked better. They have a very extensive hamburger list on the menu along with every thing you would imagine. I was told this place had the best hamburgers in MB, so I ordered the Swiss Mushroom burger. My wife ordered a Turkey burger on whole wheat. My granddaughter ordered Chicken Fingers and fries. We waited for about 45 minutes and didn't get our food. My wife and granddaughter started to complain about the length of time it was taking. I told them it was probably just because it was Myrtle Beach. After about 1 hour a guy (not the waiter that took our order) brought out our food. My granddaughter's chicken tenders were totally cold, along with the fries. My wife's Turkey burger was cold. My Burger was medium warm with the fries warm. Totally unacceptable. It was apparent that the food had been sitting somewhere for quite a long time. I got up to speak to the waitress and she pointed to the manager...not saying anything,.....just pointing. I said "What" and she said "See him". I went over to the manager and another couple was giving him their story of waiting for an hour and not getting their food. When they were done I told him we'd just got our food and that it was cold. He said he'd look into it and be over to our table. He came over to the table after about 3 minutes and apologized for the food taking so long. My wife told him that it wasn't just that, it was cold. If it had arrived hot, as if they just cooked it, we would've been at least fine in eating it. But with it ice cold there's no way we were going to accept this. He asked what we wanted him to do. We told him we were not going to pay for this (I offered to pay for the Blooming onions). He said just to pay for the beer and forget everything else. He gave me a check for four beers. I told him I only had one beer (forgot that I had already paid at the outside bar for that one), but gave him $4.15 for the beer again. We walked out and went around the block and got a pizza and took it back to the hotel room. The manager was fine. I feel sorry for the guy because they were completely off last night. The table next to us actually said their food wasn't hot also. I won't be going back here. Hopefully the manager can get hold of things and straighten out his employees. He acted like "We all of a sudden got busy", but from what I saw they weren't terribly busy when we walked in (given the fact that we were seated in 5 minutes). read more

I was hoping this would meat up to the stars it was given. It was our last night out and just wanted a burger. So I googled best burger restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We were excited to be able to eat outside... until.. there is a dumpster right there and when the wind blew it was nasty. After a customer left, the bar was not cleaned.. we had to go home and just wash up because we were so sticky. We ordered a River Rita and it was nothing by the taste Of lime juice, then ordered Sam's Summer bottle beer and the first one was. The second one was well not it was warn IPA. At this point dinner has come and it is exactly what we ordered but very dry. Now the smell has gotten so bad that I cannot eat Bc I feel very nauseous.. my beer was warm. We paid our bill and left. Excellent service. Excellent mixed drinks. Perhaps the best burgers we've ever had. I just got the house burger which was fantastic. Wife got the shaved ribeye steak burger which she wouldn't let me have any of because she said it was too good and she was eating it all. Even their coke slaw was delicious! There was only one another table full on the deck and they were almost done. It took a while to get a drink order. After we ordered a a few more tables were filled and about 15 minutes after we got there a table of 14 college students came in. This table got their food 15 minutes before us. We waited almost 45 minutes. Finally we complained and it came out. But everything was luke warm at best, the lettuce on my burger was soft from sitting too long and my sons fries were cold. So we weren't waiting because something in the kitchen went wrong, even though our server blamed the kitchen being backed up. No. Our food was ready. You just didn't bring it out. Very disappointing that our last dinner in myrtle beach was this dismal. read more

You just never know what type of service you are going to get. My family received a coupon for this restaurant when we were checking into our hotel for our Myrtle Beach vacation. We went on a Sunday and the food and service were fantastic. We went back on a Tuesday night. Big mistake! Our server disappeared for nearly 25 minutes and we had no idea if we would get our dinner or even refills on our drinks. It took nearly an hour to get our food. When we finally got our food, it was mediocre and sloppily prepared. Our server could care less and barely stopped at our table. We had to seek her out just to get refills. We got takeout due to the corona. Call in ordering was quick and easy and food was ready quite fast. We got RC burgers which were massive and I'll put it up to one of the best burgers I've ever had with fries which were also perfectly seasoned. My kids loved the popcorn shrimp as well.
