The multigrain bagel was amazing! Also loved the everything flagel. Wish i tried the french toast bagel since seeing these reviews. The lox spread was incredible, one of the best ive ever had. Sundried tomato creamcheese was good but i wish they didnt add the italian seasoning/herbs because that was just too overpowering. Our go to bagel shop makes sundried tomato cream cheese with chunks and pieces of sun dried tomato and creamcheese, just 2 ingredients and it's amazing. ordered the sesame beef bacon egg and cheese at The Bagel Shop and it was bad all around. The bacon was straight up burned not crispy just charred and bitter. The eggs were overcooked dry and rubbery like they sat too long on the grill. The beef had little to no seasoning and added heaviness without flavor. The bagel got soggy fast and couldn't hold everything together. Nothing tasted fresh or balanced and the whole sandwich felt rushed and careless. They have a good assortment of bagels and cream cheese spreads. Should. They're always busy, but they're always still accommodating. Very poor experience this morning. I ordered ahead of time so I could quickly pick it up before work. The order was ready and I paid, but when I looked in the bag- which I did based on a past experience here- the meat on the sandwich was totally burnt. It was literally black. I showed one of the girls and she agreed and they remade it, however there was also an issue with the bagel. It was like they took the tiniest sliver of butter and just smeared it on- not even covering the bagel in its entirety. There were- no exaggeration, at least 8 people working, maybe 10, and everyone seemed a little lost. They need more training in customer service. They need to take more pride in the food they serve to customers. Finally, if you purchase please check your items before driving off. This is sad honestly because I live in the area and have gone here for years! Before my kids sporting events on the weekends we often stopped in. While looking for a bagel shop near the Hackensack area, I stumbled on this place. It's on a quiet street in a neighborhood. There's not much nearby and can easily be looked over. I tried a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and scallion cream cheese on a regular bagel. The egg was PERFECT - the yolk was a little jammy & the edges were crisp. There was 1 egg in my bagel bc I didn't specify but it looked like you could order 2 or 3 eggs as well. The bagels were so chewy and warm. Really enjoyed every bite. You can taste the scallions in the scallion cream cheese. Overall, I found my neighborhood bagel spot and will frequent this place for breakfast bagels more often! read more

I've never been disappointed with their bagels, cream cheeses, or Taylor Ham Egg & Cheese sandwiches. I've seen the negative reviews, and yes, the sales help my not be the friendliest or most helpful ( some are, most are not), but I attribute it to a small work area they are crammed into behind the counter and the fact most Millennials don't want to work ( or get up early). But I say, "Who cares at a bagel chop?" It's 5 minutes of your life, not a sit down restaurant, and the sandwich is worth the wait. The Pumpernickel bagel was INCREDIBLE! It had fennel seeds, some sort of seeds (sunflower?), grains and nuts in it? I am not 100% sure but it was unlike any Pumpernickel I've ever had. Totally recommend it. The lox was fresh and they didn't cheat you on it either, a good amount. It was like $7, but come on the bagel and salmon alone...can't beat it. Plus a yelp check-in gets you 10% off your order. Fiancé got a plain bagel with raisin walnut spread and said it was great! The place was packed but they moved quickly through the orders.
