Really nice location with amazing views. Who doesn't want to eat breakfast and drink their morning coffee with a view of the rocks. There's even a nice little stream in the back that creates such a soothing atmosphere. The service was pretty fast for being so busy! I had to wait for a seat outside and they have a lot of seating. But it's just breakfast so the tables turn over pretty quickly. They are dog friendly outside so almost everyone has their dog with them (be mindful). We ordered two iced coffees, the cinnamon roll and the bagel breakfast sandwich. Everything was amazing! I was so content with the breakfast. The cinnamon roll is so big, we couldn't finish it and it was the two of us. The cream cheese frosting was so rich and flavorful. The bagel sandwich was 10/10. I couldn't taste the sriracha too much, which I didn't mind because I don't like how sriracha can overpower everything else. Really delicious overall and great menu! When you first walk in, you may be shocked at the long lines, but they are very efficient and keep the lines moving! Food is really really good, as well as coffee and bakery. Stumbled upon this coffee shop on my trip to Utah and let me tell you, it was the best google stop I've made so far.... This spot is a total VIBE! Its patio has unobstructed views of the canyon and there is ample seating. If I had come here on a solo trip or with close friends, I would've proposed starting our day off here by journaling/doing devotions. Anyway, my family and I decided to stop on by for lunch after exploring Zion in the morning. We were impressed by the food/pastry options despite it being primarily a coffee shop. We decided to get: - orange creamie Italian soda ($2.75 for 16 oz): creamy and dreamy. - orange rolls ($3.95): sweet and zesty with sticky frosting, these were delightful. - turtle pecan scone ($3.70): beautifully toasted with a moist interior. Appreciated the milk chocolate chips baked into the scone. - peach cranberry scone ($3.70): definitely more cranberry dominant. Same sentiments with the turtle pecan scone otherwise :) - tuna melt ($9.75): a mix of albacore tuna, red onions, cilantro, and jalapeños topped with cheddar cheese and tomatoes on whole wheat bread. This was so well done that I'm gonna do my sandwiches like this going forward! - herbed mushroom and truffle oil pizza ($15.95) with a side of ranch for $1.50: the truffle oil was undetectable but the pizza was tasty. The roasted garlic made it that much better. It's a partially-self bus kind of place as well. Our party bought merchandise (shirts and I got a strawberry lemonade chapstick). We also got to-go muffins and the bread pudding for that evening/next morning. Great spot to visit and fuel up before hiking around Zion. We went every morning for breakfast and even for lunch one day. Picked up a bagel sandwich to go and enjoyed it on a trail. This roastery/ cafe is your one stop shop for any meal of the day. They serve coffee along with breakfast items and are open early (6:30am). They are also open late until 8:30pm and serve pizza and even have beer on tap. The view is breath-taking from the patio of the cafe. If it weren't so hot, I would have relished the sunset glow. The indoor space is ample too though, and it stays rather cold and comfy. They also have a drive-thru location up the road in the form of a repurposed storage container. It opens earlier than the cafe (6am) but they do not have a full menu, limited only to coffee/ espresso, smoothies, and baked goods. Their quiches are wonderful and are available as a grab and go. Unfortunately, they will not make their breakfast items after a certain time as the grill is dedicated to burger patties in the afternoon. I was able to order a cold brew in the afternoon (for the next morning), and we were able to buy our lunch for the next day as well, a *Turkey Cranberry Sandwich* (cold). This particular sandwich had all the freshest ingredients and plenty of carved turkey, but the bread they used was weird, dry and tasteless and not the wheat bread that was advertised on the menu. We also enjoyed a single cold beer here which was a 5% IPA advertised as "malty" from one of the few Utah breweries. If you only savor a cold beverage during the hot summers, then this cafe does have some fresh suds, but if you're from California, you may feel that you're missing that WC-style greatly. It's the best place to grab everything though, so know you can rely on it for most everything! read more

They had a small selection of pastries and breakfast foods available in the window case. The cashiers were very friendly. We ordered 5 drinks: caramel frappe, banana split frappe, chocolate peanut butter frappe, tropical wave smoothie and a vanilla cold brew. All of them were delicious! Awesome place about 25 minutes away from Zion. Went there to try their cinnamon rolls and was not disappointed in them. Lots of crème and soft bread. Their service was top notch with friendly employees that brighten your day. My only regret was not trying the rest of their food but couldn't since I had a big hiking day the following day. I also enjoyed that view they have by the parking lot. If I do end up returning to Zion, I do plan on returning. read more

My girlfriend and I saw this on our first trip to Zion and during our second, we made time to visit this establishment by the Virgin River. It was definitely not how I saw it as you walk in and there's a spot for a Starbucks-like cafe and a small corner for a bar. Beyond that is a seating area with seating outside as well. Seeing as it was cold we stayed inside where we ordered a garden salad with carrot strings, cucumbers cherry tomatoes, and Italian dressing. I started off with a rustic potato and bean soup with cheese that also came with a side of bread. For our main course, we decided to try their BBQ Chicken pizza and also get our usual pepperoni and mushroom with it. I wasn't for the BBQ one because the sauce tasted sweet and took away from the other elements in my opinion. The pep and mush was fantastic and gave me an opportunity to enjoy the dough which wasn't too thin but not too dense. The service was good. I was lucky they had sierra mist because most of their choices for soda were like the ones you'd find at a Jersey Mike's. It's on the main thoroughfare, has its own parking lot and is situated above some sort of quarry-like gorge. I really don't know what the geological term for this, but it is beautiful. They take full advantage of this by having an outdoor dining area facing the "hole" directly. Awesome view! There are pastries sold here too made by a local seems like. There are people working so early in the morning. Who are you guys?! By the way, I can't fail to notice that there's an alcohol bar right next to the coffee bar inside. In case you're wondering, the coffee is good too. Honestly though, I remembered the view more than the coffee. It might be a good thing, because this meant I had no complaints. We come all the way from California to Utah not for this place but for Zion National Park, but this place has really great pizza and salad and even breakfast when we came the first time. This second time coming out here was definitely not it. The food was good, but the service was absolutely horrible. There was one particular girl with braids and her hair slicked back in a bun, younger looking... didn't get her name but was so rude had friendly customer service with others around except for our table. She would look in our direction and roll her eyes. My sister-in-law' was making her way towards the seating area outside and she was right behind her and my sister-in-law was waiting for the people to pass by first so she could then head out and the employee was mumbling under her breathe out of annoyance that my sister-in-law was not going because she was being polite and waiting for the other people to pass by. The employees did not even offer us any plates with our food and there was another family there and they brought them plates with their food, but not our table. This was so unfortunate that the customer service did not meet our expectations as the last time. It was my sister-in-law's first time trying this place and my husband and I were saying how good it is and it def let us down with their awful customer. Def the people that attended us had a bad spirit and were super rude. If they can't be polite to others find a new job if you don't like your job. I must say, it was a great choice. Luckily, we just beat the line. Two minutes later and we would have been waiting to order for 15 minutes instead of 5. Nonetheless, the staff was very sweet and it was good vibes all around. The outdoor seating at River Rock comes with a gorgeous view of basalt canyon. It's the perfect place to relax and appreciate life. I ordered the Cinnamon Swirl Bread Pudding and oh my goodness, it was delicious!
