Terrible customer serviced. My husband called this restaurant a month in advance to book a reservation for 25+ people as a surprise birthday party on Saturday, February 21st because their website states they can host parties and events. He called about a week prior to confirm the details and was told that they don't take reservations on the weekend but they would be able to accommodate us and we could stay for approximately 90 minutes. The day of, my parents show up and were told there was no such reservation on file. My husband went down to the restaurant and spoke with the manager on shift named Stacy who was nothing but combative and unhelpful. She told my husband there is no way he had the right restaurant because they never have and never will take reservations on weekends. Towards the end of their conversation, which resulted in no useful resolutions, Stacy reads off of her notepad and realizes we do have a reservation for the exact time we had been trying to tell her about. Out of principle, we decided not to eat here. We are highly dissatisfied with how they handled this situation and hope that this can help people to decide to give their business to a better establishment who cares about their patrons. read more

The chicken wings were amazing! Unlike a lot of other places, they were perfectly cooked -- meaty, moist, and crispy on the outside. Also, highly recommend the tuna melt and their bloody Mary's. The river views were beautiful and the staff were all super friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back! read more

went after a long hike looking forward to eat a good meal, no one told us from the beginning they were closing in 3 mins but on google it said they were closing at 10. our waitress took our order fine, then food took 30-40 mins to come out. once food was out burgers had no dressing on them, buns weren't toasted, meat was burnt and dry. three of them were hardly touched and we asked for a refund and the manager repeatedly kept saying " it's the best I can do ". after supposedly taking 20% off when anything was barely touched. all in all, terrible service. read more

I had a good experience here while visiting 3 rivers. There's not a lot of dining options in the area but as we left Sequoia National Park, we noticed that it was poppin off and decided to check it out. The busser was very nice and got us drinks immediately. He was almost like an assistant waiter as he was professional and attentive. Our server was also nice as another table of hers opened up closer to the river after we were already seated elsewhere and she let us move. I had a chili dog as the menu stated the chili was homemade. Honestly the chili was bland and needed salt but overall a good meal. Ginormous portions! You won't leave here feeling hungry. I also had a bourbon beverage which was just okay. Get the zucchini fries as those are something to rave about. I liked the ambiance as they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating. With the cool weather, the outside area was busy and we enjoyed sitting near the river. read more

After a few days out in wilderness, there is no doubt that stopping by river view grill & bar will be a must after camping. The food was excellent! My friends and I started with the chili cheese fries which are a must & you can't go wrong with the wild western burger especially when adding avocado! The staff was super friendly! Carlos the manager was very helpful as he recommended some of the best items on the menu. The outside patio has a pleasing view of the river! After speaking to a few locals, they all said that the new ownership has done wonders for this place. So don't be discouraged by the initial star rating. If you want to pay $20 for a 30 minute wait and a burger that is burnt to a crisp, hockey puck style, then this place is for you! Dolly and the rest of the wait staff were amazing! The burger was garbage. Alas, after waiting said 30 minutes, I was starving, so I ate the terrible burger. I can still taste the waxy char on the roof of my mouth. Riverview Grill and Bar (Three Rivers, CA) - June 19 2023 - We came here after spending the morning up at Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. The most distinguishing thing about this restaurant is the large back patio that sits right next to the fast moving Kaweah River just on the other side of the 30" high see-through fence. The sound of the river this time of year was borderline deafening, but in a good way! They also have indoor seating with a full bar and pool table. That has a little bit of a honky tonk feel. We sat out on the patio next to the river. I do like the fact that they are dog friendly, and we were able to take our dog with us on the patio.We were promptly seated when we arrived, and given menus. Nikki was our server. She was friendly and prompt. I felt well taken care of. Since I knew I would be going to a brewery after lunch, I only had water to go with a very tasty caesar wedge salad with nice chunks of blue cheese and bacon bits. My wife ordered the patty melt sandwich on a sourdough bread together with a side salad. For my caesar salad, I liked that I could pick up the individual leafs of romaine that were nicely loaded with blue cheese, red onion (I had to scrape some off), and bacon bits. I would order it again. The meat on m wife's patty melt was ok. Not the most flavorful. It had a nice cheddar melt on top with lettuce and an ok tasting pickle slice. The bread could have been more toasted. It wasn't crisp enough. Room for improvement but overall worthy of 4 stars. I'd come back to try some of the other food options and enjoy a drink and the sound of the rushing river. They also have live entertainment some nights from what we were told. read more

Had we known Friday-Sunday are live music nights we would not have came here. I enjoy live music but this was too much. The band we got "lucky" with was a rock/metal band, which seemed like a very strange vibe for a casual, family-vibe, mountain restaurant. Our family could not even have a conversation at the table the music was so loud and horrid. Service was extremely slow. Food was ok, typical American bar-type food. The best part about the place is the view of the river, but there are plenty of other places that offer the same thing. I wouldn't return. read more

Fabulous view and great food! The staff was friendly and attentive, too. We came here for lunch after kayaking in Lake Kaweah. The wait was a bit long (30-40 min.), but it was lunch time. We enjoyed cold drinks indoors while waiting for a table. The outdoor dining had misters, but our table was on the end, so we didn't get the sprays. We still enjoyed our lunch despite being a bit hot for me. The rest of my party didn't mind the heat. We'd definitely eat there again. Generic burger and sandwich menu, plenty of good choices though. The meats were decent, the burger was beef, the fish a bit greasy, the fried chicken was just chicken fingers. There wasn't any spices or extra flavor in the meats or fries to make them stick out. The other ingredients were great, fresh stuff all around. And i loved the sweet potato fries, yummy. The bar was generic, they stuck to the popular beers, nothing exotic. The big attraction is the live band singing on a huge patio along the raging river. What a great place to hang out. read more

I can be difficult to find good food in isolated places like Three Rivers, but our experience at River View was just atrocious. The margarita my girlfriend ordered was undrinkable. The buffalo wings were definitely frozen because they were rubbery and gross. We each got a burger basket and the patties were undercooked and tasteless. We had about 4 different servers and it was impossible to get our check at the end. Spent way too much money here for how awful it was. read more

Fun place to stop after visiting the park or rafting in Three Rivers. We recently enjoyed live music on a Sunday afternoon. I've stopped in a few times for lunch over the years.
