Unfortunately, this wasn't the best experience. Apparently they have a smoking section on the small deck by the bar and we were seated right below it. Dudes chain smoking and practically flipping ashes on our table. Insane. We didn't get greeted for over 15 minutes, which as a lifetime server I know happens. Then to top it off, we didn't receive our food. At all. After an at least 55 minute ticket time we told the server we would take a rain check. Poor thing was in the weeds big time. It's Friday at lunch so I get it. No charge for the sodas and we still left a tip for her she was doing her best. I strongly recommend to the hosts seating to let people know there is smoking allowed where food is served, we would've sat inside or at least known what we were getting into. First the waitress took 20 min to get to us for drinks. When she took our order she wasn't attentive at all. Second took 40 mins to get our order. Both orders were wrong and mine was cold. I had to get up and get utensils myself as well as get my own water. I understand when it's busy that it's tough to pay attention to all the patrons but it shouldn't be that way. My fiancé and I visited this place in February and got a tour and wanted to book this location for our wedding reception. The lady working gave us her info and took down ours and then ghosted us for 6 months. We called weekly and was told they were too busy and would call us when they had time. For months we patiently waited with no response. We left multiple voicemails & sent emails letting them know our wedding date was quickly approaching. It's a great location and right near Sequoia NP but the service isn't great. It's a real bummer. read more

I had the salmon special that came with mashed potatoes, carrots and a side salad...all for $17. That's a great price! The salmon was a little dry and the potatoes were not homemade. Came here after a long day of hiking in Sequoia, and I left full and satisfied. I split the bacon cheeseburger and chicken tenders with one other person. Both were pretty good, but I was ravenous so maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much LOL. The reason I'm only giving this 3 stars is because of the ambiance and a service mishap. This place is right next to the river, so you get to enjoy a nice view while eating. However, the restaurant feels very dirty. There are flies everywhere you go, even in the bathroom. The tables also seem to have a lot of gunk on them and need a deep clean. The other thing is that we ordered 2 appetizers and never received them. We brought it to the attention of our waiter and got them removed from the bill, but I would have loved to get them before our food since our group was starving. If I was back in Sequoia I'd consider coming back, but only if I wasn't super hungry and was willing to wait for a table. read more

First let me say this place is absolutely disgusting. The tables are filthy, there is dried bird poop everywhere in the outside dining area. There was a woman with 5 dogs jumping and playing at the table next to us. I couldn't eat with pet dander in the air landing on my food. Terrible customer serviced. My husband called this restaurant a month in advance to book a reservation for 25+ people as a surprise birthday party on Saturday, February 21st because their website states they can host parties and events. He called about a week prior to confirm the details and was told that they don't take reservations on the weekend but they would be able to accommodate us and we could stay for approximately 90 minutes. The day of, my parents show up and were told there was no such reservation on file. My husband went down to the restaurant and spoke with the manager on shift named Stacy who was nothing but combative and unhelpful. She told my husband there is no way he had the right restaurant because they never have and never will take reservations on weekends. Towards the end of their conversation, which resulted in no useful resolutions, Stacy reads off of her notepad and realizes we do have a reservation for the exact time we had been trying to tell her about. Out of principle, we decided not to eat here. We are highly dissatisfied with how they handled this situation and hope that this can help people to decide to give their business to a better establishment who cares about their patrons. read more

The chicken wings were amazing! Unlike a lot of other places, they were perfectly cooked -- meaty, moist, and crispy on the outside. Also, highly recommend the tuna melt and their bloody Mary's.
