This is my local lawnmower shop down on El Segundo Blvd. Super nice guys - always open when they're supposed to be. They have grass seed, fuel, blades, etc, they sell those professional trash cans too called the 'Catchy'. They do great repairs. Parking is a little tough but doable. So after several years of raithful service our lawnmower decided it didn't want to start, well the winter rains made the grass grow and it will soon be time to cut it, looked them up on yelp and they have lots of reviews Drove over to drop the lawn mower off, Javier comes out gives it a pull, it starts but dies quickly, probably needs a tune up and a rebuilt carburetor, looks at the blade, needs sharpening. $55.00 for a tune up, oil change and carb rebuild. Flash forward to around 10am the next day, "it's ready", so less than 24 hours later, it's cleanup, running and ready to go. Price was super reasonable Speed was epic, I wasn't in a hurry for it and was expecting a week turnaround time. Everyone I met was super friendly, great value for the money. Highly recommended for your power lawn equipment repair. read more

Took our lawn mower in for repair. I got it back and it was not fixed . For which I paid for it. Took it back and he has had it for 3 weeks with the promise it will be fixed the next day. I got fed up. Picked it up not fixed. Got it home and parts are missing off the mower. And he can't locate them. So now I have a mower I can not take any where to fix. I am out money I paid to get it repaired with more damage to it when I brought it in. They are incompetent. read more

Amazing customer service. I bought a Husqvarna LC 121P Lawn Mower a couple of years ago at Lowes. The lawn mover has been doing a great job since our lawn is small, but we didn't use it from October through December of 2018. When we tried starting it in January, the engine would not start. We changed the oil, cleaned the air filer, and changed the spark plug, and still nothing. I yelped law mover repair shops and this place popped up. It was one of the few with 5 stars so I decided to give it a shot. I dropped it off on Saturday morning and picked it up today (Monday). The machine is working great and running smooth... better than before. I only paid $45 but they rebuilt the carburetor, changed the oil and sharpened the blade. I'm glad I didn't have to buy another lawn mower. The staff is super friendly and never did I feel like they were trying to rip me off. The only catch is that parking is a bit limited. I ended parking around the corner and pushing the lawn mower half a block to to the shop. Not an issue at all for me. Just as heads up since parking gets packed. read more

What can say, Javier is the man! Very honest. I have been going here for the last 2 years and they denied my service for an oil change on my lawn mower because it wasn't needed. Most places would change me for the service, this guy told me I didn't need it. Now that's honesty. Also purchased a few items, an extended bush trimmer, a weed eater, and a backpack blower (all top notch brands) at reasonable pricing. I bought a lawnmower and a Weedwhacker from there the both Are in working condition I am so pleased I went there it was very inexpensive to get my lawnmower tuneup the Weedwhacker I have is the one that the professionals use on their lawn I have a pretty big front and back lawn and so far it's been doing an excellent job love to shop for hours are a bit on the tough side because of the 2 PM Monday through Friday but opens up at 6 AM but if you work that's still very tough to make Saturday's is the only real day that I could make it I wish they were open longer hours so I could get there and drop things off to be repaired but nevertheless I love the service read more

My wife originally took our lawnmower to them for a tune-up. We have used their service in the past with no issues. This time however was different. They called us saying it was ready to pick up. However, every time we went to pick it up, they told us it to come back. Finally, we had enough and we wanted them to give us our lawnmower back. They told us they could not find it and that it was likely stolen. I suspect they "accidently" gave our lawnmower to a different customer or something more malicious. Used them twice. First time was about 5 months ago for a gas powered weed trimer that wouldn't start and when it did, it only ran for about 10 seconds. Dropped it off and pick up the next day, he explained what they did and recommended I replaced the fuel in my fuel can and it has been running like new ever since. Only charge $15. Second was just recently. Brough my gas powered push lawn mower in because the engine was operating at a very high rpm...like it was set for the race track. I explained it might have been my fault because one the little springy thingys on the carburetor flew off one day while I was cleaning the carb and I couldn't locate were it went. He simply took it in the back and fixed it within 5 mins without and charge. That's right, for free! They definitely have a long life customer here. read more

I've been here before because I had a warranty on one of my pressure washers. I don't like it because you try to ask them what can you do for your pressure washer and they don't give you a response. I like when they give me a straight up answer and not a round around. Then they told me ask the next day and they didn't give me an answer... pretty disappointed. read more

Brought a LMower and WWacker. Apparently the WW engine was seized, but the LM was fixed for $50. Friendly, informed service both face to face and on the phone. Still using a paper ticket system so don't loose your ticket, or take a photo of it (hate carrying that stuff around). " F minus Service " I took my Lawn Edger for service after 7 days of using it. A bolt came loose and I took it back to Rivera's they told me 2-3 days and come back to pick it up. When I went back they they couldn't find my machine cause it was almost closing time and it was stored away. I went back 3 additional times through a month. All I get we are busy and swamp with work. I left my information and my ticket stub cause they couldn't find it. Finally after a month of waiting I had to throw a fit so they can find my edger. They told me it was all the way in the back and and was lost with the other machines. The only thing it needed was to re-tighten the bolt. They still had the nerve to charge me fee $55.00 for the service. I told the the person in Charge how about all the times or lies I had to come to shop to get my machine. A laugh and not even a discount was offered. I know I was taken advantage of, cause I'm not a commercial gardener. Plus I'm 100% that they just fix it on the side of the building and said they said it had a tune up done to it. YEAH Right !!! Therefore I grade this place a F- and strongly recommend support other small shops as they are two busy for additional business!!! Don't loose your time here. read more

Took my weed eater in fully expecting to leave it to pick up at a later date. However, I was told that they will show me exactly what is wrong with it and have it ready for me in a few minutes. About 15 minutes later, the owner showed me what was wrong and that it will be out in 3 minutes. After a few short minutes, the mechanic brought it out to me. My total bill was only $15. Not only was the service quick and cheap. But the customer service by the owner was awesome. Great personality. I had a lawn vac that needed a warranty repair because it broke an impeller. Alex fought on my behalf with the manufacturer for more than two months to get the parts. His tenacity eventually paid off, and I now have an operational machine at no cost to me. In addition to the lawn vac, I had a leaf blower that wouldn't run adequately. Alex rebuilt it for me at a very reasonable cost. I couldn't ask for a more conscientious, tenacious person to work on my equipment.
