This review was for back in December. I had an appointment with a different groomer who never showed up or called to inform me that they were not going to show up. I called this location who luckily told me that they had a opening if I can go straight there. I was very grateful as this was super late notice. I show up and the place is very clean. Workers are very nice. Everyone is wearing a mask. I was a new customer and they treated me very nicely. I will be going there from now on. Prices are fair and affordable. I bring my Pomeranian here all the time to get her a lion cut, she always comes out beautiful, smelling like cookies and very shiny, soft fur I love how smooth her nails feel afterwards too! I used to go to petsmart to get her groomed, but they never do a good job, and her nails were always jagged But here her fur is shiny and beautiful and they clean up all the strays, I recommend to everyone ! read more

So my dog looks good. Not above or below average for a groom, just as good as usual. I have a place I usually go to but with a new baby in addition to my toddler I was looking for somewhere closer and decided to give here a try. When I called I was informed that its first come first serve and to be there at 7am when they open. I usually wouldn't do that but had family visiting who offered to take him down. Foolishly, we didn't check pricing but assumed (I know, I know) being in this location and having had my dog groomed semi regularly for the past 6 years it would be around 45-55. I've never paid more than that for my medium sized dog. Color me stunned when they called me at noon, 5 hours later, to pick him up and it was $75. I couldn't believe it! I couldn't complain as I hadn't checked the prices before, but I certainly won't be returning. That's really high for a bath and haircut for a 30lb dog. Also, the lady checking me out said "if you bring him on a slower day we can spend more time on his bath and haircut" Ummmm what? You had him for FIVE hours, are charging me $75 and you are basically telling me you COULD have done a better job? read more

I had been using Riverside Groomers for years with my 4 dogs. Last visit I brought my last 2 dogs to be groomed and asked what the "new rate " was and the owner gave me the rate. When I returned , she said it would be an additional $20.00 and when I told her what she had told me what the charges would be, she said it was early and wasn't fully awake. Took my 9 month old Yorkie today for her first ever grooming. The service was great, the price was reasonable, and she was done before the scheduled time. The groomer who took care of my puppy was awesome and she even took the time to explain how to better care for my puppy's coat. Will definitely be back for monthly grooming! The best part was that I didn't have to make an appointment. I had called a mobile groomer and was given an appointment a week and a half away. Kirsten is always who I speak with on the phone or at the front desk, and she's wonderful. The first time I took my puppy, I was nervous about trying a new place and I could tell my dog was too. Kirsten pet and played with her while I filled out paperwork to make my dog more comfortable. Chastity is Bubba's groomer every month, and she's incredible. This last time I took her in, Bubba was excited to see Kirsten and Chastity, not nervous. The price is reasonable and they're timely. The woman, I forget her name, is extremely condescending. When negotiating prices, she constantly referred to the way groomers did things in Orange County, as if this held a higher authority to people just wanting their dogs cleaned and trimmed. I found the older gentlemen (her husband?) to be much more inviting and almost apologetic for how the woman spoke to me. He even tried calling me back after if left. The unfortunate part is that there will probably be enough clientele to sustain their new business. It's just too bad that they were about to have another loyal customer. It's fine, I'll take my business elsewhere. If you're in Riverside and wanting to give your business to good fellow Riversiders, do not go to this groomer. read more

I just picked up my dog... 5 HOURS after I dropped him off. We were there first thing in the morning and I was told that the groomers wouldn't arrive until 1 HOUR later. If you're in the business for grooming dogs, wouldn't you want your groomers there when you say you're open for business??? When I picked my dog up, I asked the owner why it was that the groomers didn't show up until an hour later... she immediately started MOCKING me and raising her voice. I was appalled at her behavior. She was SUPER defensive and rather than listening to her customer, she began to get in to the details of how hard it would be for me to find a great groomer, yadda, yadda, yadda... With that said, I've never had a problem with the grooming itself... they actually do a wonderful job on our dog. The wait time is far too long and leaves my dog extremely dehydrated and stressed. Bottom line... the owners attitude is horrible and the time to groom is EXTREMELY long. read more

They took about 2 hours longer than anticipated, mixed up my two dogs and were not very helpful. Have been taking my Golden here for a while and they did fine until they really gave my goldie a really bad hack job. Took her back the next time and they did a fine job. But today another hack job AND THEY CUT THE WISKERS OFF HER!!! I pay $95.00 for a show cut mind you and she looked horrible. Groomer gave me an attitude. Yeah...found someone else to do my dog. This place really is great! Yes the cost is a little more than your probably used to paying but from my experience you get what you pay for. I have two Yorkies and they are my sweet girls. I am really picky and I don't trust many places (groomers, vets, etc) with them. The ladies here treated my girls like their own and for that I am truly grateful. My girls don't get groomed very often so I don't have the opportunity of their reduced monthly price. I paid about $70 per dog but considering they get groomed maybe once every 6 months I will gladly pay that. If you are dropping off get there early, there might be a line. They are that good! One of my girls has had some medical issues regarding a sensitive esophagus issues and even though they hadn't seen my girls in more like a year they remembered and called me for the details before starting to groom them. They are that caring! They pay attention to detail and I truly trust my precious girls with them. If you want a good experience and you have the extra cash to spend then please try them out, it's well worth it. read more

Worst grooming experience! Picked up my dog after he was groomed, girl there told me that it was $68 for my service. I asked them to give him the "yorkie" look and NOT the "teddy bear" look; I have a yorkie and they gave his the teddy bear cut. Brought this to their attention and still had to pay full price. They say they went over pricing with me at drop off and even told me how to get discounts, but that never happened. His facial hair is still too long, his body trim is super uneven and they asked if I wanted the free bandana, I said yes, but that wasn't there either.(not that big of a deal, but with everything else, it's just annoying) When I asked to speak to a manager they gave me a card with their general number and told me to call that number and ask for the manager. Well, good luck getting through because I called at least 15 times to see if my dog was ready for pick up and they never answered. Had a few more questions for the girl I was speaking to and she just walked away from me. read more

What brought me here was the freedom to be a "walk-in". What keeps me coming back is how wonderfully the groomers of Riverside Grooming treat my dogs. Not only are their grooming techniques superb, all the groomers are really great about informing me of any potential issues they see during the groom. One of my dogs has allergies and other medical issues. So, I really appreciate them caring enough to point out any inflammation and otherwise odd things that could be a problem and need attention. Of course, the best part about Riverside Grooming is their excellent abilities in grooming. You can tell the pride that take in each grooming. I had bit my lip the last few visits about how bad the hair cuts have been on my doggie, they claimed to do a teddy bear cut around her face but the hair on top of her head was more of a Mohawk then that.
