They wanted to give us less for our Audi with only 22,000 miles on it and too dollar for a Honda Civic! They didn't want to budge on their price. No effort whatsoever at discussing a solution or working with a customer. We went to Riverside Honda in the hopes of buying either a new or CPO Honda today. This would have been our third vehicle from them. While we were greeted promptly by waiting sales staff, we were quickly educated that all new cars are marked up $7,000 above MSRP and that the dealer add-ons are $3,200 and non negotiable. While we are well aware of the ongoing supply chain shortage regarding computer chips, and understand supply and demand economics, it is a flat out lie when we are told that "all" dealers marking their vehicles up like that. Toyota of San Bernardino doesn't do that, although there are still the customary super inflated dealer adds. MINI of Ontario, certainly doesn't do that and doesn't have crazy add ons either. What we found most astonishing is the fact, that Riverside Honda has the same non-negotiable add ons on their used cars as well. Since when is it customary to do this with used cars? So, basically we would have to buy a two year old car at market value which is pretty much what it was new and on top of that they want us to give them another $3,200 for super inflated and unwanted add ons. Sure, they are within their right to do whatever they want, but it sure is a rip off and huge disservice to our community! Just remember, pigs get fed and hogs get slaughtered. I never get a car wash even when I have my car serviced! My husband comes to pick me up because I'm dropping off my car for service and they wash his car! Offered to wash it for him, yet refuse to wash mine and I'm paying for service. We both have Hondas, both bought them here. I understand there was a drought but now we're told it's lifted. Riverside Honda internet sales gave me a very great deal (which I verified many many times that's the selling price). I drove an hour and half on Sat and hope I can get a new car for my twins. After test drive and fill out the paperwork (for finance credit check), the finance manager came back telling me that they gave me the wrong number!!!! One star is a little excessive for this dealership; it should be less. After going around to multiple dealerships, This dealership sent me an extremely cheap quote. After driving over 45 minutes, I was offered a 4.9% interest rate loan (even though my credit is excellent). This wasn't the only issue. They didn't allow me to use my own bank. They insulted us by trying to give us a 6% compound loan not a simple rate pumping the monthly payment price by 50 dollars. I found a car else where with a better price (every dealership had a better price). This place shows a great level of dishonesty and inaccurate representation of prices. My review is based off my first experience and now my second experience with this dealership. 1st go I purchased a Honda Civic Sport coupe. I later found out that I was "salesperson-ed" as I call it meaning that I fell into some traps had I not been naive I wouldn't have fallen into. That one is on me. I forgive and move on. The sales person did their job, they sold the car. 2nd go I return because I get a phone call. I'm skeptical of going in based off this phone call. BUT with this, the BDC sales girl, Gina, is offering "top dollar" for my trade-in. I'm offered the lowest damn price I've seen for my car from other dealerships I've shopped at looking for a bigger car. Not only that, but salesperson George tells me he "doesn't care about the sale" as he only gets paid hourly. Might want to communicate that with your finance guy because he told me you get paid commission, my dude. Overall, George lost Riverside Honda that sale. I would've traded in my car for the better car at that price, I WANTED the new car. When you lie to my face like that though, I'm no longer willing to support this business especially after my experience being persuaded by the last salesperson. My advice to this dealership. Tone it down on the salesperson stereotype. You need customers more than customers need you. There's plenty of Honda dealerships out there. I'll stay with Honda my entire life because I love my Civic and would love to grow into an Accord or CRV someday, but it won't be via this dealership. Car buying is known to be a daunting experience and I've done it a few times, at different dealerships, but my god, I have never felt more used and taken advantage of after leaving a dealership than I have with Riverside Honda. TL;DR - Go elsewhere. Spreen. Norm Reeves. Anywhere else. The salesman was fine, but he had an easy job: I wanted to purchase my lease. He kept going to the side and huddling with his manager and whatever, and every time he came back, the price got bumped up 1K. Ultimately, I wound up signing paperwork 6k over the car's value for "administrative fees" and crap I didn't need. Seriously, one thing to look out for is Cilajet. $2k on that alone and apparently, it's "Non-negotiable" but the paperwork says otherwise. My car is dented and scratched, it's completely useless to me, but the really rude finance person kind of rushes you through everything and misrepresents what's in the paperwork. I do contracts for a living and misrepresenting a legal document is unconscionable and I didn't think it was done, but after the final signature, you're screwed. I e-mailed the sales managers and finance person the day after, hoping to shed some clarity on the additional charges and only received a very terse e-mail from one of them, and ignored by the rest. My dad was a car salesman for years, I know what an awful job it is, but this lack of customer service is inexcusable. I really hated my experience here, and a week after, I'm still reeling from it.
