This might be one of the worst eating experiences I have ever had I walked in with a group of people immediately upon walking in all of us were like it's hotter in here than it is outside. I'm talking no ventilation at all. It was so hot in there I would say it had to be at least 85° inside the restaurant easily We're standing there, waiting, waiting waiting. We should've walked out right then and there just from the temperature alone, and the fact that we couldn't get seated, but we were all hungry, it just completely went downhill. The hostess had an attitude she basically came over like what do you want? What do you think we're doing standing here playing Tiddly winks? we want to be seated, right? The server kept asking us to order order ready order. We couldn't even think it was so hot and all of us were dripping wet and sweaty, getting flushed in the face so I asked is there no air conditioning in here or what's going on? They said the air conditioning is on the roof so we don't run it. The food was subpar at best. And now cheap. I visited this restaurant Saint Charles's location about a year ago and was blown away by the service (even though they were slammed) and I thought the food was great. This was the exact opposite 360° experience I would never come back here if they gave me food for free for the rest of my life I cannot tell you how uncomfortable it was It was made worse, not only by the snarky attitudes of all the staff, but the temperature was just unbearable. It's a day later and I still have a migraine because of how dehydrated we got in there I understand they're probably miserable as well working in there, but that's not the customers fault. They had a lot of customers in there. I don't know how as hot as it was but all of us were thinking they cheaping out not running air-conditioning It made eating experience absolutely horrific. Unbearable. As a result, I now will not return to any of their locations. I don't give my money to establishments that treat the customer like a piece of crap and are too cheap to run any kind of ventilation whatsoever not even any fans nothing If I could give negative stars, I would We got a salad. The salad was huge for the price. I'll give it that and I asked the server. How do we serve the salad? with our hands? Do you have tongs, she said no we don't have tongs here. I'm thinking OK well, if you don't have air conditioning I can understand that we had to scoop the huge salad out individually with forks , I live in a house and I have tongs here so that was another strike Couldn't get any more dressing because the only time she came around was to be snarky, rude, and demanding and I didn't even want to deal with it at that point. The pizza was OK. it was nothing to write home about it was half price, luckily that's about all that it's worth if that. the cheese sticks were so small. It wasn't even the size of your pinky We were holding them up like what is this? don't bother wasting your time. Don't believe this place is still in business. I gave a tip, but man that was hard for me because I really don't think it was warranted. I have never seen such piss poor attitudes. read more

Went there the other night. The tweens (yes, I exaggerate) they have as hostesses need some training. Guess what? Be as smiley and friendly to the customers as you are to your co-hostesses. That is a start. My son arrived before us, the hostesses told him that they had a reservation for us. I called him to say we were a little late and he asked if we had a reservation since the hostesses were not the sharpest. We did not. He put his name in for a table. They told my son an hour wait. I walk up about 5 minutes later and they tell me should be 20-25 minutes. It was busy and our server was okay. Zero personality. Even when you are busy, being friendly makes you more money. As we were leaving, I told my husband to leave a bigger tip since some items were on special. My youngest son laughed and said, "Why? She barely did anything." Food was fine. Service was adequate, but lackluster. I'm sick of the excuse that it's so hard to find staff. If you have a job, do your best at that job or find another one. This is a busy place and the opportunity to make great tips is there. As far as food goes, our table had the fries topped with Italian beef, chicken parmigiana, caesar salad, a burger, and a pot roast sandwich. All items were good. The food is not an issue here. It is all fine. We like to go where the food is good AND the service is competent and welcoming. They're about 40% of the way there. read more

We are new to the area and have been trying all the local pizza places. Riverside Pizza came recommended so we had high hopes. Ordered a large thin crust sausage pepperoni and mushroom and then added 12 wings. The wings were HUGE and had zero flavor. The drumettes were as big as chicken legs. They were not even edible. I don't know why restaurants think big wings are what people want. So gross. The pizza was mediocre at best. If you're having a party and looking for something to eat for people who have been drinking this might be your place but if you're looking for good pizza...keep searching. Our family LOVES it here! You need to try the giant pretzel! It's warm and buttery and comes with cheese and mustard. We can always count on consistency at Riverside. We've never had a bad pizza. Services are usually quick and attentive. I've never had to wait too long. On busier days we tend to have to wait longer but it's worth it. It's a bar/restaurant so it tends to get loud. But the atmosphere is fun! I do wish they had a better outdoor seating area. It doesn't seem that inviting and it's just right next to the parking lot. Decided to try this restaurant because I had a coupon. Mentioned this to the waitress while I looked over the menu. About 5 minutes later a group of 5 entered the restaurant and got the waitress' full attention. They ordered drinks snd then she came back to tske their orders. My husband and I came here last week to check this place out. I had the vodka pasta and added the meatballs to it. The meatballs were delicious and flavorful. He ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was cooked perfect. The place was packed when we came but that's expected on a Saturday night. Our server was friendly and could tell was running around trying to take care of all her other tables. I liked they had moscato many places only have a red or white wine so I appreciated the sweet moscato option. They have a lot of tv's inside this place which will make my husband happy come football season for watching his fantasy football games. GO TO THE ONE IN St. Charles. I've been to this location twice now. Each time the service was EXTREEEEMELY. The first time my family and I went around 1pm on a Monday. It took at least 15 minutes for anyone to come acknowledge us. Then it was another 10 ish minutes to bring drinks. The food is great yes, and it's hard to beat $0.50 wings. I ordered a five topping pizza for pickup (pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, mushroom, and onion.) Out of the five, they got ONE damned ingredient correct. What I GOT was pepperoni, extra jalapeño, and extra black olives. The place was virtually empty, so the chance my order was confused with someone else's was nonexistent, particularly given that what I ordered for my wife on the same order was correct. Can't say anything regarding the actual taste of the pizza, since the flavor of the jalapeños overpowered everything else. Unless your a big fan of a place that ignores what you order in favor of whatever they feel like giving you, avoid this place like the plague. read more

We have been here many times and the food is always delicious. Typically we do pizza and the giant pretzel, this time we also had salads and they did not disappoint. Very large portions, fresh ingredients and nice presentation. Ambience is good. We have never had a service issue, this time unfortunately we did. We were a party of 11 and things started fine but once our order was in the Server never came back on his own. Pizzas were dropped but I had to get my own plates. I had to go to the hostess desk to ask for a refill on water and drinks. I had to get my own to go containers which the Server "scolded" me for so I suggested they move the cart so it wasnt in plain sight for everyone to take from and he said it needed to be accessible for the Servers. I suggest putting it by the Hostess desk so it isn't accessible to the public when you have to serve yourself. Server dropped off check and once again didn't come back. Again I had to go to the Hostess desk and have them get someone to run my card. When I expressed my concerns about the Server they told me "he is really busy" . I am not saying he didn't have other tables but I saw him hanging out a lot of the time by the bar and in the back by the kitchen. Im not asking for every much service wise; but frequent trips to the Hostess desk looking for help is not how it should be. read more

She was incredibly rude from the start of the call, and I feel that she was a poor representation of Riverside Pizza & Pub. As the other review states on Friday the a/c was not working. The wait time was 40 minutes after an hour we ordered a pizza to go. The table that would have been ours left after to receiving their food for over 1.5 hours. Giving 3 stars for 2 positive prior experiences. I guess a tip would be if you can not live up to the wait times, food is delayed, ac isn't working management needs to do rounds and start talking to customers offering a free app or free drink. Update A/C is fixed, I saw the owner onsite one night and he offered free drinks for delayed service and seems to be training the staff to better accommodate guests. read more

Nice restaurant/pub/sports bar. Started off ok, ordered pizza and 3 1/2 price hamburgers. Happy hour til 6 PM. Pizza came in a timely fashion, burgers arrived 30 minutes later. Server apologized for delay more than once, said burger night was extremely busy. We had to go to the bar to get a beer refill while we waited. Food arrived and the burgers looked great but had a definite curry flavor and smell to them, less than desirable. Pizza was good. Not expecting any compensation for the delay, we received our bill to discover 1/2 price burger Monday discount was not applied to the bill. We've been here five times in their first month of operation...what does that tell you? We were fans of the St. Charles Riverside long before the Batavia branch opened. This one is much closer to home and larger in terms of seating size, so that works well for us. Riverside has great pizza, sandwiches and a thorough menu with something for everyone. If you're up in the air on what to get I would recommend the pizza. They also run daily specials that so far, haven't disappointed us. The half-priced burger night includes a two patty burger that will send you home feeling pretty damn stuffed. I like the high top tables to the right side but they have regular tables, booths and a large bar for seating as well. The only drawbacks I've experienced in our multiple visits are a rather poor beer menu and sometimes the people seating you are a bit spacy. We watched one girl seat a couple of different walk-in groups for the same table requirements before us, simply because she wasn't paying attention. In all honesty, this will obliterate business if it doesn't change. Once, shame on us. The second time, we won't be back. I've heard from friends that they experienced the same thing..and nearly walked out. Advice to the owners...get this corrected before you start losing patrons. Cheers. read more

Customers walk to restroom or slots with or without masks. Good news is the servers do wear their masks We figured this was the case based on the cars on the lot so we did expect it. My friends and I ordered delivery from Riverside for the first time this weekend and were NOT disappointed. The delivery was on time, and the pizzas were HOT when they arrived. I don't think I've ever had such fresh out of the oven pizza from a delivery. We had three different pizzas - margarita, supreme, and pepperoni. All three were deliciously full of flavor. I loved how creamy the cheese was, and that the pizza was not overly saucy. I look forward to the next time we order pizza when we are all in the area! read more

One note about the management/owner-he's out there working the bar, bussing tables, he's engaged and knows when things are going right (or not). The food is always good. The only downside is that it's not a secret how good this place is. Sometimes there's a wait, but over 21 can find a spot at the bar which is ok because Katelyn and the other bartenders are great with food and drinks. We left another local restaurant after limited/ poor service during lunch on St. Patrick's day, and were so happy to find both a great atmosphere and excellent service at riverside pub in Batavia. The food (burrata app. /jalapeño poppers) and March Madness atmosphere was fabulous. Plenty of screens to watch the games. The employees were attentive and worked together as a team to attend to patrons and clean areas. It was very busy. There was a large party ordering pizzas and a person who went into medical distress so an ambulance was called, despite this, the staff acted professionally, took good care of customers seated nearby. I actually asked how employees were trained, and was told they worked together to learn, and they were stressed earlier in the day due to a computer glitch that made ordering more difficult. It was a busy night, as usual. The two of us waited for a spot at the bar and sat down. Almost immediately my boyfriend says to me, did you catch that? I hadn't seen anything as I was looking over the drink menu. Evidently, the one of the female bartenders went over to the other, whispered something and they both turned and gave me a look. Fine, I brushed it off. The two people next to me got up and left and two more sat. One of the bartenders went immediately to them and got their orders as we watched on. Strike two. We finally got our drinks after a couple more minutes from a smile-less bartender and they went on. We ordered food. Came out pretty quick and it was good but as we are eating, both of them kept cruising by the couple next to us filling their waters, asking if they needed anything, etc, as our drinks were pretty empty. I quit eating, my mood was ruined. They came by and put a check down. No one asked if we wanted more of anything, just if I wanted a box. I almost said something to them but I had just got off a 12 hour shift and I was exhausted, just trying to enjoy a meal and watch a game, I didn't feel like dealing with them. I don't know what I did, I don't think I did anything, but please be kind to your patrons. You don't know what I went through that day and you didn't help matters.
