I try and be honest with my reviews. Concerning Riverside, our pizza was great! We carried it out at 1:PM. Saturday. Sausage, Mushroom extra crispy. It was delicious. Not to greasy. Sauce had a wonderful flavor. Same with the sausage. The crust was cracker like. Nice and crunchy on the edges. What was nice was we had leftovers which tasted better the next day for lunch. This place uses quality ingredients. And it shows in the finished product. I just found my go to pizza place! read more

Honestly this is probably the best thin crust pizza I've had. It is the perfect amount of crunchy crust without being burned. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks which were great too! Can't wait to come back. read more

Horrible service. Wasn't checked on once, two salads took an hour and that was WITH reminding the waiter. Not to mention no staff were wearing masks, the waiter touched our food with his bare hands, and more. ALL of the tables upstairs were entirely dirty and nobody would clean them, instead they just turned people away and said they're not seating anyone up there. Felt extremely dirty and unsanitary. And when we finally got our food, it was cold and extremely underwhelming. Would give no stars if it were an option. read more

Really good Burrata! I am a Burrata fanatic and I can definitely say this is pretty good! The wings were just ok, but the pizza was fairly good as well. I gave it so many stars because the burrata, staff, and drinks were delicious. next time i will just come when they have deals on stuff. But i recommend it. read more

1st time here and wasn't disappointed. Went there for some Pizza before seeing The Orchestra (ELO II) at the Arcarda. Ordered some wings and they were Very good. Crunchy, meaty and the sauce was The Boss.Pizza was pretty good. Loved the crust, very light and flakey. Sauce needs a little more spice or seasoning. Heineken was 3 bucks each so not bad . Atmosphere was nice upstairs, overlooking Main Street and the Fox in the background. Downstairs was very loud but up was a bit more quiet. Staff was friendly and our waitress checked in us quite often. I will be back but I will try something else next time. Cheers. read more

This place has the best pizza. The appetizers are all very good. The waiting staff are very friendly. They help when you have questions and just all around nice young people. They are always busy which is nice to see. The prices are great and if you watch for their specials you get a really good price. read more

Strike 1. Riverside Pizza & Pub is not actually riverside, it's on the corner of Riverside Ave. and actually a block from the river with no river view. Strike 2. Yelp says kids friendly. Great, that's just what we're looking for. But there's a sign on the door that says "no strollers". That's not kid friendly. Strike 1 and 2, no big deal. We can accommodate and are still happy to eat pizza and watch the football game with Bears specials: half price pizza and $2 beer! Strike 3. WRONG again, despite the specials being on the sign outside and scrolling marquee, there was a "Scarecrow festival" 6 blocks away, which means they won't honor their sign or scrolling marquee. Strike 4. Service was very matter of fact about "My Manager says we're not running any specials", and in general was very slow and unorganized. No utensils, no problem we snagged some off another table. Forgot our soup, we asked for it when our pizza came. All good, we'll just never come back. read more

I've been ordering delivery pizza for the past two years from them. I've had some delicious pizzas, but with the past few orders, there's been no consistency in flavor, or in following customer instructions "pls don't let the cheese brown too much." This past Saturday after receiving my latest order, not as requested, I called and asked to speak to the manager. I voiced my concerns, and instead of the manager responding, "I'm sorry" or "how can we make this right?" or "your next pizza's on us." etc., I instead get a primer in how they prepare pizza, followed by she'll notate my account with my complaint. That was it. Manager needs a refresher course in customer relations, because with a response and attitude like that, you can be sure I won't be ordering any more pizzas or anything else from them. This is a pizza pub. The staff were great and helped me choose foods to need allergy needs, place was clean, service was prompt. They served the fastest deep dish pizza I ever saw in about 35 min to a diner in my party, and on a busy night mind you! Had a very good experience here and will go back next time in the area. It is an old building with cavernous turns and steep stairs to the second floor but it's a great old pub. read more

Just another bar that looks and feels like a cafe. No effort in the decor, the menu or the service. Shit service from the barkeep despite 4 customers in the entire place, and establishment was heated to about 50 (in some places) and this review already started brewing before I sat down to give it a shot.. We a were able to try riverside for the first time since their opening, and we were very impressed. Downstairs has more of a bar atmosphere and the second level had more of a dining feel but also had bar on that level. We were having an early dinner, and service was great. Was pleased to see one of my favorite beers on tap southern tier pumpkin. Pizza was excellent, we tried thin crust half cheese / half sausage. Never again! We were pleased when we were able to make a reservation for a larger party the day of (perhaps this should've been the first clue that we should look elsewhere. Service started off great until our orders were forgotten and we were given the runaround. We asked to speak to the manager and my 18 year old son remarked to us about her crazy short shorts-really? Very inappropriate for anyone, esp. the manager. In the end, we did not pay for any of the meal - We were there 2 1/2 hours - wasted an evening that couldve been enjoyed somewhere else. read more

Ordered a Chicago style pizza for delivery with maybe too high of hopes. While there was nothing wrong with my order, I found it left me unsatisfied and wanting to order a 2nd pizza from somewhere else. My biggest complaint: it was bland, especially the sauce. It looked and tasted like they just poured a can of crushed tomatoes right on top then sprinkled it with herbs. I would suggest they stew their sauce to make it less acidic, better textured, and somewhat flavorful. Their crust was good but again was not what I was looking for. True Chicago style crust needs some cornmeal grit; their crust was chewy and again bland. I hope they revamp some of their recipes, I'd like to try them again with a better experience. read more

My mom says you judge a restaurant by its salad. Well, the salad here is great and the Chicago Style pizza outstanding, plus they have Coca-Cola. The people are really nice and the atmosphere pleasant. All this adds up to 5 Stars for me. read more

Portions are much smaller than last year and not as good. Ordered a cheddar burger and it was like 2 thin burger patties instead of on big one like I remember, the chicken Parmesan sandwiches had very little chicken, was double before. We wanted to go back for the pot roast sandwich next weekend, but afraid they will cut corners on that as well. read more

Service- the service was good, and our waitress was very pleasant. The decor is decent. It has a bar/cozy feel I'd say. Food- the nachos were very good, the pizza was mediocre, and I was not big on the Italian sausage. It was bland and way to soggy. read more

All I can say is "WOW!". So glad this has opened in the area. We have spent at least $500 there in the last 2 weeks. The pizza is great, the wings, especially on Thursday special, super, the nachos are layered so you get toppings on every chip and come in a bowl as big as your head! and the pot roast sliders are to die for. Right now it is super busy, it being new and all, but I'm sure it will slow down a bit so the wait time won't be as long (though it's worth it). The service is fantastic, always comming back to check on you and making sure your glass is full. The ONLY thing I would love is if they had bar chips, come on you already got the deep fryer for you fries and onion rings. NOTHING beats a good bar chip and a cold frosty beer. read more

Visiting the family for Easter weekend and we decided to check out riverside. Cool atmosphere but they messed up our order. We ended up getting a free large pizza so I guess I can't complain. We had a cheese pizza, sausage, margherita, and Italian grinders pizza. Pretty hard to mess up pizza to be honest but the margherita pizza was just canned tomatoes and shredded mozzarella instead of fresh tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. The grinders pizza was unique and tasty with the Italian beef and hot peppers. Overall not a bad experience. read more

My husband and I had a pan pizza delivered in. The delivery person was very polite, friendly and right on time. For it being our first time ordering from there we didn't what to expect. We went there for the first time before the Dionne Warwick at the Aracda. They were very busy but found us a table for two upstairs. Everyone that helped us were very friendly and professional. Interior not fancy but they have extensive beer menu. We saw several pizzas go by that looked and smelled great so we ordered a thin crust bacon, well done. One of the best pizzas we ever had and we have eaten 35 plus years of pizza in Chicago and suburbs. Crust was crisp but not burnt. Sauce, cheese and bacon were balanced and full of flavor. Been to the Riverside a few times. Good pizza, good location and atmosphere. Last night my wife and I went in for a quick bite before an Arcada show. Not too busy, it was a Sunday, but despite that, the service was painfully slow. One waitress for the whole place? Ridiculous to put this all on her, but Even with just Two or three customers she couldn't keep up. Plus they had her washing barware too, bad management. We were probably there just over an hour, everything was moving in slow motion, ended up bringing the bill to the bar to get her attention and take a break from washing dishes. Food was 50/50. My Italian Beef was excellent, my wife's "Riverside Salad" was a joke at $9, basically a $2 bowl of spinach with maybe 2 tablespoons of toppings. She rated this as a 2 out of 10 and said that's what she gets for ordering a salad at a pizza place. Overall, a bad night at the Riverside. We'll be back, but instead of the Riverside we'll try another spot. read more

We have lived in the area now for about 8 months and finally tried this place. We have tried a couple other pizza places since coming out here and have been disappointed but finally..... we have found great pizza. We ordered for take out once and it was hot and delicious still when we go home. And the second time, we ordered in. 1/2 price pizza on Monday, dine in only, can't beat that. Quality ingredient / generous toppings / fairly priced pizza. As far as pizza and a wait time goes 5 stars all around. We are currently remodeling our kitchen so I might be back a few more times in the next couple weeks. read more

Food was awesome! But the service was definitely lacking! Bartender started our table, but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks! The bartender seemed to be ending her shift as she sat at the bar the rest of the evening.. ok np, but at least communicate with the next person who's going to take care of our table. The next server was very nice but seemed a bit new and definitely confused. We were catching a show at the Arcada across the street and asked for the check early. It took 30 minutes to get the check, only to find out everyone's checks were wrong. Terrible. I reserved upstairs room MONTHS in advance. I had 25 people, and open tab, and half way through they started telling us we had to give up tables. There were TONS of free tables in the restaurant and they still kept taking ours. Servers were rude, pizza sucked. Would only recommend this place to someone I hate. RUINED my wedding. read more

There's two places I like to go for pizza in the area and this is one of them. I love the pizza here and going to the upstairs area for dinner. I suggest getting the Chicago style cheese. It's the deep dish pizza with crushed tomatoes on top. I can usually share a small pizza and leave stuffed. Can get really busy here, but haven't had a problem with service. Appears to be family friendly. The place also has a decent selection of drafts and specials listed on a chalkboard throughout the week. read more

AWFUL. Ordered delivery a burger and a buffalo chicken sandwich. The burger was dry as a rock. The waffle fries were wayyyy over cooked. The chicken sandwich had two drops of buffalo sauce on it. The waffle fries with that were completely soggy and UNDER cooked. Never again. Had to throw it all away (which I hate doing) and order from somewhere else. So disappointed. read more
