I was greeted by the manager, Jacob, who personally gave me a tour of the community and walked me through photos and floor plans of the one bedroom apartments. I was genuinely impressed by how beautifully maintained the landscaping is and how spotless the laundry rooms are. Bonus there's even a heated pool and spa! Jacob was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond by putting me on the waitlist and answering all my questions. I've toured a few other properties nearby, but Jacob's exceptional customer service made me feel like Casa Madrid is already my next home. I can't wait to hear back when a one bedroom becomes available!

Apartment complex and amenities have been great…read moreso far, but we have continued to have issues with various repair orders that have been "processing" as early as when we first moved in back in June/2024. Property can not maintain a consistent manager as we have had 3 or 4 managers take over. Yet no managers have been able to address our repair orders. The maintance crew has reassured us that they have the replacement parts, but no attempt has been made to come and perform the repairs.

He was able to contain most of it & maintenance was able to solve the leak immediately. The response of their management was also quick & constant communication was open. Even a corporate officer arrived to provide support & decisions were made to replace all the damaged flooring & walls. But of course, my dad & brother had to vacate the place while repairs were being made & the management offered to prorate the rent for the times it will be vacant. The whole place is gated & secured with exceptional landscaping & gardening. And since I actually do not live there, I cannot give a 5 star which I am sure they easily would deserve.

Updated Review - June 2025…read more I've been living at this property since February 2025, now under new management. Since my last review, I've noticed that the property owner has made a few improvements. I also want to highlight that Christine and Cuca, the new management team, are fantastic--friendly, responsive, and genuinely trying to help. That said, I'd like to provide a full and honest update on my experience, especially regarding chronic issues that still need attention: 1. Pool Cleanliness The pool remains a major concern. Today, I found it disgusting, with trash, balloon pieces, and an excessive amount of leaves floating in the water. I even took the time to clean it myself using a water bottle because I was worried about children swimming in it. I understand the surrounding trees make it hard to maintain, but a pool skimmer should be made available for tenants, or staff should clean it more frequently. I don't want to bring my own just to enjoy a swim. 2. Jacuzzi Out of Order The Jacuzzi has never worked since I moved in. The switch makes a buzzing noise, but it doesn't function and never produces bubbles. This should be addressed, especially as it's advertised as an amenity. 3. Laundry Area Issues The laundry room is consistently dirty--socks and underwear left behind, lint filters not cleaned, and washers frequently broken. While the dryers work well, some washers have low water pressure, and the machines are overpriced, especially for debit card users (who are initially charged $8 for a $2.50-$3 wash). This is managed by a vendor, but the property owner should insist on full maintenance checks. It's frustrating to have to do laundry off-site when this amenity is supposed to be available. 4. Trash and Cleanliness Trash is frequently left around the property. The large trash bins are messy, and I've witnessed people rummaging through them, which is unsanitary. More frequent cleanups or enforcement are needed. 5. Pet Waste Some dog owners do not pick up after their pets, and I've stepped into dog poop more than once. This is a health and community issue that needs attention. 6. A/C and Thermostat Problems This is the second time I've had problems with the thermostat and A/C unit, which is especially uncomfortable since we live on the second floor. While the staff does what they can, I feel like they are understaffed for the size of the property. 7. Lack of Security Unlike my previous residence--Aspire at Alper in Henderson, Nevada--this property doesn't have regular security patrols. Aspire was pristine, and part of that was due to security walking the grounds to ensure people followed the rules. Here, when something happens (especially after hours), there's no one monitoring. A security presence would go a long way in deterring rule-breaking and maintaining cleanliness. On a Positive Note: The Property's Location This property is located at San Dimas Canyon Road, with a beautiful view of the mountains. It's surrounded by groves of trees and has a large, green courtyard with lush grass. It's very peaceful, and I love waking up to this view every day. Considering it's in Los Angeles County, the price point is very reasonable. Living in San Dimas almost feels like stepping back in time--it has a small-town, Midwestern charm, which I appreciate, having lived in the Midwest as well. Everything is close by--parks, stores, restaurants, and schools--which makes the location ideal. Final Thoughts: This is my honest, updated review. I truly hope that management and ownership take the issues seriously and address them. This property has great potential, and the new management team is doing their best, but they clearly need more support and resources to improve things for everyone living here.

Lived here from 2021 to 2022, and it was a really good experience for my boyfriend and I. We had a…read more1 bedroom with a studio loft on the second floor. And it was the perfect amount of space for 2 people. That extra studio space was perfect to fit our 2 computer desktops, including a storage closet. The only thing was that the kitchen was quite cramped and some of the drawers didn't open optimally. Also, being on the second floor, it did get really hot during the summer months. But we had a nest/central AC installed which helped a lot. There was built in shelving, and we had an in-unit washer and dryer. We had a great view looking outside too, so couldn't really complain. Its really close to some very convenient shopping and Asian restaurants. Also, makes it very convenient to travel around the LA and OC area within reasonable distance. There is carport parking for 1 car, but you are allowed 1 guest car parking, which was always convenient for our 2 car household. Norma was always really nice, and the maintenance crew lived on the property with everybody else, so if there was a problem, someone came right away. Negatives: - A neighbor in our building smoked weed. I have nothing against that and they can imbibe all they want, but the vents are connected so when they smoked flowers in their apartment, it obviously reached us in an awful way. We smelled it from our open windows and the bathroom vents. We only wished that they took their activities in a more mature and friendly way. Norma had said she talked to them, but they refused to stop and ignored the warnings. - We also heard neighbors fighting and arguing with each other. The walls weren't soundproof unfortunately. - Some of the neighbors can be rude, there was one lady who would hog the sidewalk with her small dog, and you had to be the one to move out of the way. Talk about hoity-toity. - Even though there is composting, people here do not even know how to compost. They throw plastic bags into the compost, which will potentially just make that bin get thrown into the trash, unless your bag is commercially compostable. Kind of sucks knowing that composting here might just get thrown into the trash anyway. Overall though, definitely its a memorable place out of a lot of apartment experiences, because 90% of the time, its a calm, quiet community, and we didn't really get much problems other than the 1 bad neighbor. The problem itself is minuscule to us compared to other places we've been in. We also did receive some of our refund back at the end of a 1 year lease, and they broke down some of the ways it was used. That was fine to us, we didn't leave the apartment in pristine condition due to time constraints.

The maintenance team does. Its a mid size complex so there is also parking for guests. And no parking worries for your family and friends who visit. The pool is always clean. Its not the most modern or the oldest buildings but just right in the middle. The neighbors are so super nice. And no one has " agressive" dogs. Ive lived in different cities and states and diff types of homes. But this has been my absolute favorite. Beautiful mountain view and close to so many great spots. Bravo.
