I LOVED living here! We stayed for almost 3 years and honestly, if we didn't have to move out of state, we would've stayed longer. Easily the best apartment we've lived in. The amenities are great, and they're always keeping things updated. The property is super clean, well maintained, and very quiet, with a no smoking environment. We never had any bug issues, which made a big difference for us. They also stay on top of things like annual smoke detector checks and gutter cleaning, which not all places do. Maintenance is amazing. Sal and his team are always quick to respond and get things fixed without a hassle. The front office team is also fantastic. Macelda before and now Alyssa have both been great communicators. They always keep residents in the loop with texts and emails, especially for things like scheduled water shut offs. They also make it fun to live here with little community events, even for the pets! We loved the Halloween and Christmas door contests, Easter egg hunt, and the treats for the dogs. Sal as usual, provides prompt and great maintenance service to an issue that I experienced. We had an issue with the stove and he probably fixed the issue. It wasn't even a major issue. Every time I've called for a maintenance request, I usually have Sal respond either that day or the very next day. My boyfriend and I moved here with our son back at the end of July 2025. Let me tell you if you are looking for an apartment let Le Med be your first and only tour you go on. Trust me we started our search in May and after who knows how many disappointing tours we landed at Le Med by chance. Let's start with the property itself. The grounds are nicely kept and maintained. The common areas are always kept clean. You have assigned parking spaces! and they are serious about it too. Washer and Dryer in unit. The property is gated and located in a nice quiet area. Easy access to the 210 and 605 freeways and just a 20 minute drive to the Azusa Canyon and all its wilderness glory. Did I mention it's 3 minutes away from COSTO! Alyssa and Kevin at the leasing office are amazing. From our very first tour, Alyssa was kind, helpful, and patient as we explored different units. Although the apartment we wanted was initially tied up, she kept us updated and called as soon as one became available. After a few near misses, we finally got the call that the original unit we loved was available for us to apply--and I've never applied so fast in my life! Alyssa made the whole process from application to move-in seamless. Kevin was also wonderful, taking the time to help measure every wall so we could be sure our furniture would fit. Together, they made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Now let me tell you about the maintenance team. While it is a two person team it is mighty! Sal and Horacio go above and beyond in keeping the grounds looking exactly like they do in the pictures here on yelp and on their website. Both are super friendly and know every tenant by name! Sal is always willing to help and once a ticket is submitted they are on it. The team here is truly outstanding! Anytime we have a question, they're always ready to help. Unlike many places where the leasing staff disappears after you sign, this small but mighty team stays with you every step of the way--and even beyond. Like I said look no further and come live here. I love living at LeMed. This is a great community. Especially because Alissa is an amazing manager. She always has the tenants best interests in mind. This place is not only clean, beautiful and quiet but the people who work here are beyond amazing!! Any work that needs to be done, example my heater hadn't been used in a while and I put in a work order for it. Not even five minutes went by before I got a response and notified that Sal will be coming to check it out. Sal is the sweetest most helpful guy! He is always so happy to see you. When he got there he showed me how things worked and how/what the problem was. No one does that. As for the front office. They are amazing sweet people! I've gotten to interact more with management lately and I have to say Alyssa is amazing ! She is so personable and kind. She listens to what you have to say and always tries to work with you! They had to do an annual inspection for my apartment and I told her I have two dogs and can't miss work, she told me it was not a problem and that she can move things around to accommodate me and made me last in the inspection. I didn't have to miss work! My husband and I waited on a waitlist for three years and I have to say it was completely worth it! The customer service at Le Med is impeccable. We experienced minor leak in the bathroom and Sal (on his day-off) stopped by and fixed the problem. On a different occasion, there was another maintenance issue, and Sal addressed the issue first thing in the morning and notified the building of an outage to using water. On top of that Nicole was very quick to contact me regarding updates and the timing of the fixes. She once again followed up with a status and asked if there were any other issues. I lived in Le med for almost 2 years, i had to move last year september when i bought my house. I only have good things to say about this apartment complex, the management and staff. Just recently, I had to go back there and ask for their help cause one of my important mail was sent to the unit i was in before. Ms. Macelda Medina was there and immediately called the recent tenant, unfortunately no response at that time but 1 week later, Ms. Medina called me telling me she had the mail i was looking for, the recent tenant dropped it off. Fantastic gated community to live in. It's a quiet and family friendly community. The property manager, Precilla, the assistant manager, Chris, and the maintenance supervisor, Saul, are all very friendly, helpful, and professional. They're the main reason that makes this community a great place to live. They handle anything that may arise quickly, efficiently, and effectively. They go out of their way to make sure your residency here is a pleasant one. There are various amenities on the property that add to this communities comfortable living. The pool/jacuzzi, gym, recreation area, fire pit, bbq areas, and laundry room are all well maintained and clean. The entire property is well kept. The apartments are all up to date. The hardwood floors and the washer and dryer hookups in the apartments are a definite plus to living here. Some of the apartments have a gas operated fireplace which is very nice on a cold evening. The parking areas are well lit and well maintained. This community is an excellent choice if your looking for that welcome home feeling. read more

I still believe this is the best rental place in town. The staff is very quick to respond and whenever a work order is placed or if you have any concerns regarding your unit. Saul, Chris, and Precilla are very good at what they do and they really keep the place running properly. Most of the residents are nice, friendly, or at least decent but if there are bad ones that leave a mess, for example, when people leave their bags of trash around the dumpster, the staff goes out of their way and do their best to regulate and fix the problem. I really appreciate the little things that they do to regulate the community. The Service Director, Saul, is available 24/7 for emergencies which is always a big help and puts our mind at ease that if we have any issues, we can always call someone for help or guidance. I always see Saul working hard every day and I respect him for that. The trees and grass in the community are really nice to have and there are a lot of squirrels as well. (Good sign that even the wildlife likes to live here) The amenities are available and regulated very well. The units have Ring cameras and it is in a gated community so it really decreases the chances of suspicious activities. I also like the newsletters and email reminders that Pricilla sends the residents to keep us updated about the community events. I want to start off by saying that I truly love living here at Le Med Azusa! I've been a resident for almost a year now and have enjoyed the peacefulness, security and comfort I feel. This review though...is about a most wonderful and extremely helpful guy named Sal! He is the maintenance director here and I am truly grateful for him! The other day I had an issue with my vehicle and asked him for help, mind you, (this is not something he would have to help anyone with since it has nothing to do with maintenance). I moved in about seven months ago . I wanted to wait until I got a consistent feel about the apartments before writing a review. Well, I could have written this a while ago. Ever since I moved in they have been, first of all, professional, but also courteous, considerate, efficient and very helpful. I can't say enough about the office staff. They were a big help to me as this was my first move in 30 years. What I appreciate most about the office staff is how pleasant and helpful they always are. Communication is excellent, too. If there is any news we need to know, the staff uses email, written notices and phone communication to be sure the tenants are well informed. And the company evidently maintains high standards as this professionalism and efficiency run through their maintenance staff, too. I've had just a few maintenance requests, but they are timely and follow through with all of their work. I have also found their staff to be pleasant and very hard workers. It is relatively quiet on the grounds and the tenants I've met seem really nice. There are lots of friendly dog people, too. Over the holidays, there was a gift decorating and ornament making party. So, I got to meet even more tenants. During my apartment hunting search, I read a lot of unpleasant reviews about various apartments. I'm so glad not to be writing one about Le Med. read more

Have lived here 2 years now and the front staff and Saul and Chris in maintenance are the best. They helped me move a very heavy piece of furniture, keep the grounds very clean and safe. Once again the staff here at LeMed Apartments in Azusa Ca never ceases to amaze me! Our central A/C unit went out on us during one of the most humid and hottest days ever. Nicole and Christian went above and beyond to ensure that my wife and I would be comfortable and happy. The property was all out of available portable A/C units so they actually went out and purchased a portable A/C just to accommodate our needs! These are not easy to find during the summer. My wife and I are very fortunate to be living at a place where they actually care about their residents. Thank you Nicole and thank you Christian for everything! I lived here from September 2017 to January 2021. Overall I had a very good experience living here. The apartments have nice laminate floors, granite counters, and I had brand new carpet in the bedroom. Yes, rent in California is expensive and here is no different. I started paying $1,605/month for a 1 bedroom and by the time I moved out I was paying $1,695/month. My first rent increase was $50.00 after one year and then $40 after the next 2 years. However, in the area I've seen similar apartments go for more with less amenities. Here I had Ring, in unit Washer/Dryer and central air/heat. So I feel like I at least got more for my money. The current staff of Pricilla, Saul & Chris are AMAZING! They are such nice people and have really come through during the last year or so that they've been there. They respond quickly to questions and maintenance issues and actually seem to care about the fact that these are people homes and not just a job to them. The cons I would say are what they are for any person who shares walls, the noise from other apartments. I got new upstairs neighbors in December of 2020 and they were so loud! I don't think they were purposely loud to try to be annoying to neighbors around then but it really just reinforced how thin the walls are there. I also had issues in 2019 with people in the building smoking weed and it would really make my apartment smell so bad. I mean to each their own, but not when it effects those around you. They ended up being evicted. Lastly, the main reason for not a 5 star review was that Sabrina, one of the Community Directors prior to Pricilla was not communicative at all. I actually thought she was very rude and she would not responds to email or answer the phone at all. Apparently she's moved up in the company so i wish the property she's now managing luck. Would I live her again? Yes, but probably in an upstairs unit and more centralized into the property. I can't say enough how amazing Pricilla, Saul and Chris are! The staff mean a lot to people who rent in an apartment building and right now they have an A+++++ team! read more

Awesome staff and response! Recently, and for the first time, had a flying bat in our unit and reported it to management. Their response was immediate and extensive. They (Saul) checked the unit and requested pet control to investigate our attic 3 times to ensure that there was no further threat of future access by sealing potential entry ways and trap components. This level of service went above and beyond the call of duty. Just want to call out the work of Nicole in the leasing office for her diligence and customer service and Saul for his professionalism and availability. Amazing is all I can say. After moving to California and living in not so great areas I stumbled across Le Med. it was breath of fresh air. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Nicole, Sabrina, and the team they work with is beyond wonderful. I had a deadline of when I needed to live and they were able to make t happen. This place truly feels like home to me even before moving in. I read most of the reviews (Good and Bad) and you really have to take them with a grain of salt and fully grasp the issue they are writing about. I can say after my experience with them the reviews are hard to fully understand because what is being written just doesn't make sense. I have no complaints with this property and I will gladly recommend this property to ANYONE that is looking for a safe home and wonderful feel to love to. Ever since the owner's daughter took over managing the property, it has gone DOWN HILL. I moved out at just the right time. Here are a few examples of why this complex is crap now.... 1. The exterior of the complex was re-painted when this girl took over. It went from a nice light brown/tan/white paint job (which went nicely with the architecture), to this ugly two-toned light/dark grey color. I heard one of the tenants refer to it as "A battle ship waiting to be sunk!" What's worse - the exterior doors of the units (including the doors of the storage units) were painted bright red/orange and blue. Huh?? The workout room also looks like a fun house from a carnival (as you'll see from the pics posted on here). If a "modern" style is what you're going for, do your research, Sweetie. The architecture of that complex is NOT modern in any way. You have adobe tile roofs! LOL. This new owner/manager needs a lesson in design because she obviously has no clue what she's doing. It looks like a dump! 2. Pat (the former property manager/landlord) was given the authority in the past to screen tenants before approving their applications to rent. Under this new management, that is no longer the case. They let anyone move in (no matter how trashy) as long as they get their money. I'd say for what they now charge for their units, I think people can find better elsewhere. read more

I love living here as it is by the mountains and very quiet. However, one day when i was sleeping i heard something by the door. I wake up and as im walking over, the maintenance man opens the door and lets himself in. He looks surprised to see me and continues to say he knocked and got no answer and just needs to change the air filter. I work nights so i sleep during the day and it is not ok that he decided to come inside because he thought no one was home. Per California law it is illegal for him to enter my apartment without permission. I sent an email about it to the leasing office. But like all my emails, it got ignored. If anyone is planning on living here, please reconsider or think about installing cameras inside. read more

My girlfriend (23) and I (27) lived in a 1 bedroom here from Oct 2018 through June 2019. My girlfriend and I lived in LA for 3 years and this was hands down the best apartment experience we had. Pros: - Value here is unbeatable. We got a small one bedroom renovated for $1650/month at a 6 month lease. I can't remember the sq fr but it was very small. We were only going to be there temporarily so it was okay. You will not find a better quality apartment in Azusa or damn near LA entirely for the price. We had the option to extend the lease month to month at the end of the lease term for ZERO price increase (which we took advantage of). - Community. The community is awesome. It's super quiet (like REALLY quiet) but very peaceful. All the neighbors were super friendly and people there genuinely seemed happy. Below us was this 80 year old lady bless her heart and across was a couple who just had a baby, so pretty diverse crowd. The staff there is very friendly too and pretty laid back. - Location. If you don't already know where this place is it's right tucked away next to the mountains and it's a very pretty drive if you drive east from the property along the foothills. - No bugs. In the 8 months we lived there we maybe saw one bug. This was a breath of fresh air because our prior luxury $2,300/month apartment in Pasadena was crawling with roaches. Cons: - I just sat here and asked my girlfriend if we had any complaints and really the only thing we could think of that was kind of annoying was the stairs were VERY loud when anyone walked up or down them. I also noticed the renovations looked a bit sloppy in some areas of the apartment, but honestly these are like the only bad things we could think of. All in all if you are looking for a renovated apartment this 100% a place you should at least consider. We also got our entire $500 deposit back- no BS. I used to feed the squirrels near the dumpster by our apt. I will miss Le Med and my squirrels! read more

I lived here for about two years overlooking the golf course. I loved it. To know that Pat is still there is awesome. We used to chit chat when I would go in and pay rent or when I would see here outside. When we first applied, she scrutinized a few things but my roommate and I had all our things together so we got in without a hitch. She's tough, which in the long run, is great, because it makes for a better community with responsible residents and not dimwits that you have to avoid. We loved the pool and the racquetball court (don't know if they still have it). All in all, best apartment. read more

My husband and I were apartment hunting online for several months and we came across Le meds. We liked the neighborhood, and we loved the floor plans, and amenities that Le Meds offered! Naturally we scheduled for a tour with leasing consultant there. The consultant, Nicole, was super helpful and friendly! She gave us an informative tour, and answered any questions that we had! In addition, she guided us through the application process step by step; furthermore upon completion, she got our application approved on the very same day we tour! The property was nice, to include the mountain views. We wanted to live here and mustered through the ridiculous manager Pat Davenport and her constant dirty looks, verbal harassment, and driving by our apartment each day, looking over. She is a condescending, negative, and bitter woman who by the way should retire, because she has to be over 70. I cannot believe she has kept her job all of these years, and that a professional business would keep a person like her managing their property. There have been plenty of reviews on her of which some may, or may not have been removed, and they were of the same complaints stating that she was highly rude and disrespectful.
