    Monte Cristo with fries.
    Dawn D.

Nice little Bistro in Downtown Conway. We ate on the upstairs patio---lots of plants and great breezes. Got the Monte Cristo---not deep fried like we expected, the bread was more like French Toast. The dip with it was good---waitress said it was maple flavored, but it seemed more like cranberry. Good iced tea. Service was good.

First time going but definitely not the last...it was awesome!!! From the moment I walked in until I left it was a great experience. The hostess was just the sweetest young lady. Our server was fantastic! The food was great!!! Absolutely love this Bistro. Perfect for a casual date or a dressy night out. Looking forward to going again.

Great place!! We sat in the bar, thanks to the sweet hostess who helped us snag a table on a Friday night. We ordered oysters Rockefeller and the egg rolls to start. Egg rolls were 9/10. I asked for ranch dressing and it elevated to 10/10. They should serve them with ranch!!! The oysters were raw under the spinach toppings. Not to my hubs liking. We are used to the oysters being steamed/roasted under the toppings. We bo h got salads for our meal. Yum!! My Caesar with blackened shrimp was amazing! The hubs got the raspberry salad with grilled chicken. Also delicious! Would definitely come back next time we are in Conway!

We had a fantastic dinner with family at Rivertown Bistro in Conway, SC also know as the City of Halloween for the month of October! This is our 3rd visit to the restaurant and every time we have loved it. We ordered: The Clementine Martini, Harvest Moon Martini, Blackberry Manhattan, Beer Cheese Daily Fondue Appetizer (must try!), Meyer Prime Ribeye, Pan Seared Duck, Lobster, shrimp, and Scallop Au Gratin, Roasted Quail with Grilled Shrimp, Classic Creme Brûlée, and a cappuccino to finish!

Short wait for a busy restaurant that comes highly recommended by the Hertz Airport Rental Car employees. It certainly did measure up for outstanding southern hospitality and food! Friendly staff and clean facilities and excellent menu Brunch selections! Very casual or very dressy on a Sunday. I would certainly go back in a hot minute and everyday!

Stopped in for a business lunch for a group of three. Parking downtown was abysmal but we finally found a spot open and walked back to the restaurant. We were seated immediately upstairs. Very nice interior. Sort of uptown classy and some Boho mixed in. Service was good and friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the Spring rolls as that is what they are known for. They were interesting and tasty. Best in world is a bit of a stretch but good. I had the cod taco which were good. The cod was delicious and the gyro sauce was delectable. The plain lettuce though was a distraction and kept the taco from being too notch. The sweet potato chips were ok and the pasta salad was delicious. I would love the recipe for. Good meal. All was great.

American Wagu Flat Iron was amazing, mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had, and cheesecake was great. I can't recommend this place enough. The caveat is, it might look closed from the outside because the bar is through a set of doors behind the dining room, and I guess most people eat in the bar area. We almost didn't come in because we thought they were closed, but we are so glad we did come in. One of the best meals/dining experiences I've ever had.

This evening was a very good experience, mostly. Let's get the less than positive out of the way. We made reservations for 5PM. We were out and about and got there about a half an hour early. Walk in, spoke with the hostess and explained we knew we were early. (By the way, there were very few people in the restaurant at the time). The Hostess, an older female with longish greying hair, huffed then showed us to a table. She at least took us to an outside table as we requested. She never identified herself. And honestly we felt as if we were bothering her. Ok, enough of that. Now the positive. Our server was Taylor. This young man was awesome. He was upbeat and personable. Very pleasant and wanted to communicate, not just serve us. My wife and I asked for water, and ordered an appetizer of their Mac and Cheese balls. They were awesome. Hot, fresh, stuffed with pasta and warm flavorful cheese. Next we ordered cocktails. My wife ordered a Painkiller. Me an Old Fashion. Taylor recommended I try their version, New Fashion. Made with their mix of a house Bourbon. Man it was good. And the Painkiller? Let's just saw I held my wife hand, and guided her to our vehicle. For our main courses, my wife had the chicken and sausage pasta. I had the Bison Ribeye. Both we would order again without hesitation. The pasta dish was huge. With two breasts and numerous pieces of sausage. Over Fettuccini style pasta, with a lite and flavorful red sauce. It tasted fresh, and rich. She could only eat about a third of it. The rest came home. I ordered my Bison medium rare. The Chef hit it perfectly. Beautiful red meat in the center, nice and warm. So much flavor, and tender. With it I had the potato of the day. They were mashed with the skin. Full of butter, milk, and seasoned. In addition I had a side of creamed spinach. Very rich and deep. The cream tasted similar to a cheese sauce. So good. I brought nothing home. Finished the entire meal there. In addition, because it was our anniversary, the gave us a very nice card. And a piece of cake for dessert. Champaign was offered, but neither of us drink it, and didn't want to waste it. If you haven't tried Crooked Oak Tavern, you are missing a very nice experience.

That spontaneous decision turned into one of our favorite discoveries. We had just moved from Virginia to Conway and were still getting a feel for the area, so everything felt new. The restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, but the real draw? A peaceful view of the Waccamaw Riverwalk. Sitting outside, overlooking the water, we instantly relaxed--it was the perfect welcome to our new town. Then came the food--and wow. We were blown away. I ordered the seafood sampler loaded with shrimp, oysters, catfish, tater tots, and coleslaw. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. My wife went with the pulled pork dinner, complete with classic sides, pickles, and Texas toast. We swapped bites and couldn't stop raving about how good everything was--especially for the price. Coming from Virginia, I thought I knew BBQ--ketchup-based and familiar. But this was something else entirely. That rich, tangy mustard-based South Carolina barbecue completely changed my expectations. It was a delicious surprise that instantly made me a fan. Our waitress let us know they served brunch on weekends--so back we went. Same riverside view, same laid-back vibe, but a whole new level of indulgence. I ordered the Brunch Chimichanga--crispy, savory perfection--while my wife went all-in on the Brunch Burger: French toast, sausage beef patty, over-easy egg, bacon, American cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar, and hashbrown casserole. Yes, it was as incredible as it sounds. Now, Bonfire Taqueria isn't just a place we tried--it's a place we return to again and again. Great food, relaxing views, and a welcoming atmosphere make it one of our go-to spots to unwind, sip a drink, and soak in everything we love about downtown Conway.

I was a bit skeptical because we passed it a few times on our way to different places in town, and from the outside you couldn't tell that it served upscale cuisine. But it had great reviews so we took a chance. Ambience: The inside was dimly lit with an old school feel. Reminds you of an old school New York establishment from the 80's. I liked it. It had a welcoming feel and I noticed there were at least two regulars the staff greeted. Food: We ordered an appetizer of calamari and the short ribs. Additionally, I was going to get the salmon but they had a special of red snapper with lump crabmeat, green beans and rice. The food was delicious. The calamari was one of the best I have ever tasted. The addition of the fried peppers complimented the dish well. They were nicely fried and seasoned. Very light crust which I love. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste the short ribs because I was just too enthralled in my dish. The snapper was perfection! Everything on the plate paired well together. Also, if you're not going for an alcoholic beverage, their freshly squeezed lemonade is so refreshing. Service: I'm truly bad about remembering names and as is my usual, I don't recall the name of the waitress, but she was truly attentive and nice. She was also knowledgeable about the food and patient. Truthfully, all the waitstaff seemed genuinely kind towards the patrons, which was nice. If I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area again I will definitely be going back. Loved it!
