We didn't see any employees pumping gas while we were there. They have snack and beverage vending machines available as well. Overall, we got what we needed, gas! The pump we used had a crappy lever on it. It kept clicking off like the tank was full, but we only had about a quarter tank when we stopped in. We ended up putting $80 of gas in the tank, but had to hold the pump lever the entire fill-up. A bit annoying.

The cashier, an older woman named Sue, was immediately rude and dismissive. When I tried to hand her the ticket, she told me I had to go back to self-checkout and wait, claiming it was "not possible" to give me the money from her register. That's simply not true--I've turned in can deposit tickets at this exact Safeway through regular checkout multiple times before. Instead of helping or explaining calmly, she talked down to me and made the situation unnecessarily difficult. Policies don't excuse disrespect, and misinformation definitely doesn't help customers. This interaction wasted my time and guaranteed I won't be seeking help from that employee again.. I don't understand why people hire Rude individuals.

Guess what, each time I call I have to GO THRU THE ENTIRE STORY AGAIN AND BE PLACED ON HOLD..... RIDICULOUS! We don't mind paying a little more in quaint small towns. We prefer the peaceful, low traffic areas of the Oregon Coast. Employees are always friendly and helpful here. Their private parking lot has plenty of parking available. The store is clean and well stocked. I would definitely recommend.

We stopped in real quick to grab some to go and we were in and out in a minute. Service was fast! Appearance - Take note the place is a seafood market. There is no spot to sit and eat. Taste - We ended up eating the clam chowder a few hours later at our hotel. It seemed like a tried and true recipe. It scratched an itch for a warm chowder at 9pm. It was a little basic. We didn't find anything too special about it, but it hit the spot after a cold rainy Oregon day.
