Decent gas station located in Fred Meyer grocery store parking lot. They have about 8-10 pumps available. Most pumps are self-serve. We didn't see any employees pumping gas while we were there. They have snack and beverage vending machines available as well. Overall, we got what we needed, gas! The pump we used had a crappy lever on it. It kept clicking off like the tank was full, but we only had about a quarter tank when we stopped in. We ended up putting $80 of gas in the tank, but had to hold the pump lever the entire fill-up. MY family has lived in Florence OR since 2014. Fred Meyer used in Florence used to be a store you would go to if you wanted quality food. Since 2020 that has all changed. You cant even get decent fresh fruit. Today June 20, 2026 I purchased organic raspberries that was supposed to be fresh. but when i got home to eat them along with my lunch i discovered they were rotten. not a single one editable!!! How Disgusting to charge a grotesque price and then cheat the paying customer from the quality in which the price was to REPRESENT! Fred Meyer yearly takes a dramatic step downhill. 1) They have been switching for years to their own brands, making it hard to find my preferred brands. 2) They eliminated the health food section and incorporated into the general food. Again, making it hard to find what I want. The reason is that they want to force customers to look around the store in the expectation they will buy more. I was told this directly. 3) Their shelves are now so high that there is an uncomfortable boxed-in, warehouse feel. 4) They have not decorated for the holidays, giving it a very depressing atmosphere. Corporate even made my local store take down a decorated table they had. I left and shopped elsewhere when I heard that. In the past I have felt a lovely, merry spirit when shopping in December. What we like about it the most is that it's always clean never crowded and well stocked. There are some things that we found here that we cannot find in Portland, so we appreciate this store. This is from a bi-yearly tourist's point of view. Plenty of parking and the attached gas station is convenient. They have everything. Literally. Full blown grocery store with everything you could imagine, plus clothes department, home goods/decorations/flower department, a whole jewelry store - it's like a small city inside. They're currently in the middle of a remodel but it's still super clean, spacious.... The people who work here have Always been sincere, kind, helpful and just a pleasure to chat with. For those of us from out of town, they also allow you to use their "ambassador" program so we still get the local discount. What's not to love?! This has been a home run for us for over a decade! Having never been to a Fred Meyer before, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of grocery items, camping items, garden, household and fresh items available. The checkout staff was kind and polite, but other staff in various departments appeared to busy or disinterested to offer assistance with finding certain items. I would have given at least one more star, but the store itself wasn't as clean as you'd expect for a grocery store and the restrooms were absolutely filthy, as if they'd not been cleaned in days. read more

Fred Meyer is the first supermarket I have visited in Oregon. It is big. It something Walmart need to learn from. I like Fred Meyer when I first walk in. This type of store is not in Florida. I hope one day they can be there with more options for me to shop. The Halloween section is big. It has different kind candy and sweet for the holiday. The food department is great. You can see the dungeon crab is calling your name. Buy me!! The seafood has many selections. They even has mixed up poke. Love those. You can have the sriracha, shoyu, tradition poke. Those are fresh and eat like popcorn. The apparel department is at separate room. It has high quality clothing. Many selection. Man department clothes has a lot to choose from. We spend about $2,000 a month with the Fred Meyers in Florence, oregon 97439. I bought a rib eye steak for $24 that was the toughest steak I have ever had. They are buying cheap meat with no age and selling it at beyond market prices. I think we are going to start to go Eugene once a week for all our grocery shopping. Frey Meyers is not being a good local grocer And is ripping us off. read more

I've been shopping at this Fred Meyer location for many, many years. I always stop in this store whenever I am in Florence. I've been here a couple times in the last week alone, as I've been in Florence. The store is huge. It has an incredible selection, in every department. The clothing/shoe and food sections are where I spend the most time in. I'm always on the hunt for new clothes, and this is a great place to find my favorite Nike and Columbia stuff, at great prices. If ever a flip flop breaks or I loose a piece of clothing, this is where I come to replace it when I'm on the coast. It's easy to shop here. If I need to stock up on my favorite coconut water, or grab a bite to eat from the deli, this is the place. They have a pretty decent wine section, so if I'm staying overnight, I'll pick up a bottle to enjoy in my hotel with my husband. The customer service in this store has always been pretty on-point. I can't think of a single negative experience when I've been in here. I can complain about pretty much anything, and I can't find something bad to say about this store. Cashiers are friendly. It's always pretty easy to find an employee if I need something. I despise stores where you can't find anyone to help you, and I've never had that problem here. The store is always clean and well-stocked. Bathrooms are very clean. Sometimes I just run in to use the bathroom and grab a soda, and this is the perfect place for that as well. Everyone is friendly and efficient. Even though the store is huge, when I'm in a hurry and just need a couple simple items, I can get in and get out pretty quickly. I love that about this store. I can find pretty much anything I could ever need when I'm away from home, but I can simply run in for an item or two as well, and have it be as quick as I need it to be. Would I return to this store? Absolutely! I literally stop into this store every single time I'm at the coast. It's my go-to when I'm in Florence. Besides long checkout lines, EVERYTIME I use the scanned clip coupons hardly any of them show up at the checkout stand. I don't know if it's because they have terrible internet coverage in their store or the app sucks, probably both. On my last visit, I lost about $15 in savings because of this. Worst customer service ever...when called to inform them that someone used all our rewards to purchase gas, the attendant was completely rude and hung up on us. When we called and spoke to the manager she was abrupt and rude and said we had to call corporate which is fine, but she also said it wasn't her job to deal with things like this, gave me the number in a curt manner and hung up on us. I called our local Fred Meyer and relayed my experience and they were appalled. THEY WERE WONDERFUL AND SO APOLOGETIC. Florence needs to work on their atrocious customer service. The error was on their end and they should have owned the mistake and apologized, not been hostile and rude when we could prove we were 90 miles away. read more

I normally wouldn't rate a Fred Meyer, it's a store. Understanding the remodel even during a remodel you have to clean the restroom. The women restroom was so disgusting. This location is not very clean I was shopping for shoes on this particular day. I had a hard time finding my size everything was a mess no order? When I looked for help nobody was near? after about 30 mins and no luck in shoes I needed something to eat so proceeded to the deli area to order chicken things got worse from here the selection was empty? I was hungry and getting frustrated at this point, I opted for salad since the chicken looked dry like it had been out for a week! I like Fred Meyer for the selection and for my one-stop shopping center. I am getting used to the remodeled store and for the location of the products. There are more products than before so that is pleasing to me. On the downside I dislike that the employees shopping for their call-in customers are being in the isles with the large carts. Also the employees stocking shelves during the busy shopping hours are inconvenient to shoppers. It gets congested during those times. I use the self checkout most of time and I have that figured out pretty well so I find that it speeds up my time in the store. read more

We had planned to get propane after shopping, so it took about 10 minutes and we were in place with our 40 ft motor coach, at the propane tank at Fred Meyer gas station in Florence, OR. Fred Meyer parking lot in Florence, OR is one of the worst parking lots to maneuver with any large coach. The attendant showed up, and after a few attempts to hook us up, I heard him ask "if we are out?" to co-workers. It will only take a few minutes for the truck to fill it, He said. The Ferrell gas truck had just pulled into the parking lot. "This shouldn't take long". But after 30 minutes and no one moving, we decided to call the manager of the store inside. The manager was not right there so "Guy" explained to us that the Ferrell gas truck was on a union mandatory lunch break, and we would have to wait. We waited for his 1 hour lunch break to be over. Still no movement, I went into the store to talk to the manager. Crystal was on duty and said they couldn't call another truck and it was out of her control. She didn't pick up the phone to talk to the attendants outside. After waiting for 1 1/2 hrs we were concerned because it was cold, and the attendant ran us out of propane, and no one was coming. My husband decided to go talk with the Ferrell gas truck driver. The driver explained that his truck was not working and he couldn't pump the propane out. Nothing they told us was true. I tried their shop on line to pick up groceries due to the Covid Virus to avoid the crowds. To say the least it was a HORRIBLE experience!! 1/2 my order was missing and the other 1/2 was substituted with items i did not order! For example i ordered aloe vera gel for my skin and they replaced it with aloe vera juice drink‍ I ordered hot Italian pork sausage they replaced it with sweet chicken sausage (thats an entire different animal & flavor) and the list goes one!! 2 pages of things to be exact!! Now i have to go into the store which i was trying to avoid in the first place and return all these items then go shopping myself to get the correct items i ordered in the first place!! Save your time and the inconvenience and if your going to shop on line use Safeway!! I did it through them and had NO PROBLEMS!! A very large Freddys store in what i always found to be a rather strange even surreal location in front of huge sand dunes! But this place has everything you need and at the same prices as Portland. Always found the workers pleasant and happy to help. The gas station however seems to permantly in chaos with the large amount of huge RVs/ boats/ATVs as well as cars..those attendants sure make work hard! read more

Wow. Wish I could give negative star for this. Grocery store seems clean enough but the woman's bathroom is so very disgusting that I can't see how the rest of the store could be clean. Very dirty, chipped paint on the walls and stall door. Sink was filthy and when I lifted the handle to turn on the faucet the faucet lifted off of the basin. There were employees everywhere moving merchandise to other isles. They really need to think about using them to clean and find someone to paint and upgrade. read more

There are some really nice people that work here, that being said, the last few times I went to get baby food over half of it was expired. I was at home when I noticed, otherwise I never would have bought it. And it seems that usually about half of my produce is garbage within two days, just avoid the spinach, broccoli, and tomatoes. I know COVID has been awful, but i feel that their ad that they always play about the produce , is a little bit of a false advertisement.... read more

Very nice Fred Meyer. Cutest clothes in the apparel section! When did Fred Meyer get cute clothes? No problem parking the RV as long as you use the side near the Garden entrance. There was a Clas A with a toad parked there when I was there. However, the toad WAS kind of rudely blocking an access entry point..... No problem going through the gas station, it is maneuverable. I was in line behind another Class A with no toad. However, once you get gas, do NOT make the right turn to go out the access way to the highway. It's too tight. I have no clue what the humungous Class A that was in front of me did. The access way to the highway is a two lane road with dividers in the middle, making the lanes very narrow. I got caught in a jam, fortunately a nice gentleman guided me and directed traffic so I could get out. Instead, make a left and go around the parking lot and go out another access way. read more

This is the worst gas station to stop at on the entire highway 101. Everyone who works here is uninterested in doing anything quickly. They usually have plenty of staff that stand around talking to each other instead of waiting on customers. This happens every time I've had to go there. I suggest continuing on to Safeway or another spot. Anything is better than this one. read more

We very much enjoyed this huge mega-mart. Being from CA I would compare it to Target except they sell guns. Lots of interesting things and some excellent quality brands. Everything from kayaks to tomatoes. And they pump your gas. read more

I like this location better than Newport. We came here in August of 2016 and there were some great clearances in shoes! Same thing again this year! Got my Skechers! Probably in clothes, too, but only went for shoes. What we really love most about shopping in Oregon is NO TAX!! But a lot of their items are a little over priced to make up for no tax, so you really have to price what you want to buy. Also, the diesel gas prices are so much better than back home, also a 3 cent discount when you have a Freddys card. A must stop to gas up and shop when we're here! read more

Rude stockers who fly through-out the store with no consideration of the safety of their consumers. Front of store is filthy and has needed a very thorough steam cleaning for many months now.
