Inconsistent pricing. Came to dump some green waste and when asked how much, was told $40. Told him last time I was charged $30 and had a lot more trash and was told nope in that case it would've been $50. I think it was that guy's brother who charged me $30 (I think they are twins lol) Afterwards I asked how much was the scoop of soil and was told $25. Lines get a little long on the weekend for dumping green waste but that's to be expected for all the weekend warriors and landscapers. It was really easy to get rid of about 1/2 of pickup truck bed load of tree branches for only $15. You gotta know what you're doing (unsecure your load early, DIY unless you trust the Bobcat claws, figure out the cashier window and where to pull over after unload, etc) but everyone was helpful. I'll go back after my next landscaping project for sure. read more

Came here for 10 cubic yards of mulch. At $15 per cu yd, this is a great deal. They load it into your truck, give you a receipt, then you pay. Mulch is thin. The 3" stuff is more expensive. Hit me up in 2019 if you want to know how it worked. read more

Bad experience coming here. I brought my truck that was loaded with branches and trees. The guys there seemed to be doing their job rushed so they rammed their Cat machine all the way to my rear window and broke it. Went to talk to the manager just so she can say that they are not responsible; Signs do say that they are not responsible for any damages caused by them but at least have some common sense and comfort the customer with sympathy. They still charged me the Disposal fee and still thought it was funny to tell me have a nice day 3x until I left. Yea very nice day with a shattered glass. read more

This rating is based on the store itself. They have a 15% restocking fee. Seriously, what would require a large amount of restocking to warrant 15% if everything is out in the open? I even offered to place the merchandise back to its regular place however I would still get charged the 15%. And don't tell me it's the paperwork or inventory control, we all know that is minimal. While this place is good for their loose materials: sand, rocks, mulch, for the smaller items, go to Home Depot instead. The DIY person will find cheaper prices and a no hassle return policy. read more

My husband and I came here for the first time wanting to buy St. Augustine grass. We ordered 4 pieces for a total of $14.00. Each of the "pieces" is 2 1/2 feet. Per my husband, Home Depot has the grass much more expensive than this business. The grass has to be ordered as they don't keep it in inventory. We also found out that they have two locations. We went to the Inglewood location and Gardena would've been better for us. After we left, I called to see if we could have the grass delivered to the Gardena location instead - but we were told we would have to cancel and order from Gardena. Prices are always the best here for green waste disposal and cement! Have been coming here for years now . It's ridículas how these other reviews have complaints about prices when a public waste site will weight your truck and will charge you 3x as much as RJs. read more

Updated review- 8/20/13 I'd like to up my rating for this company. They have upgraded their policies. Now if you call them they WILL share prices over the phone. This is a huge benefit for me and I have started buying more equipment from them as a result. I still give it a 4 star rating because they have a lot of lower quality stuff in their store. I am sure this is because that is what many of their customers "think" they want to buy. But still- I prefer stores that focus on high quality items. Regardless- all around good store. -------------------------------------------------- Old review from 2012... Nice enough of a store. They sell a mix of good quality equipment and some of the very cheapest stuff that will break quickly. The people that work there seem knowledgeable enough and are nice enough. The prob I have is that if you are thinking about buying something and you call to find out how much it is, they won't give the price over the phone. What the heck is that all about? We know what you guys are trying to do. You want us to come down and see how much the item is, then realize even if it isn't the best price we'll just buy it because we're already there. This is having the opposite affect. Instead of being something that encourages me to come in, I just avoid the place. I only go here if I am in the area and NEED something fast. Otherwise I'll support the companies that are helping me to run my own business wisely. read more

The green waste recycling center and hardware store have greatly improved their customer service. The pricing is pretty consistent, on occasion you may get charged slightly less or more than before, or for example on Eduardo G's comment below, the first time that he was charged $30 was when one of the owners charged him, he got lucky, and a discount. the normal amount charged was $40 which is why he thought he was getting ripped off when he was charged $40 but he wasnt he just got a dicount the first time and charged normally the second visit. And they never give discounts, especially on DG. This company also rents containers, sells mulch, and landscaping machines. read more
