We hashed out the details with Nate over email. Our area was 8.5 feet by 21.5 feet and involved digging out the subgrade, setting concrete and rebar, tiles (including a curved path), and gravel. We set the construction date for February 19th which lasted until February 25th. Jesus, the foreman, was great at communicating the steps required for the build. He would often check in to make sure that we got the end product we desired and was receptive to feedback for the design. With their workmanship guarantee, we have nothing to worry about. Overall, the process was smooth and hassle free. We would be happy to recommend them to others for their landscaping needs.

The owner showed up with quick diagnosis to my sprinkler problem and showed knowledge about how my garden could be maintained. After evaluating several vendors I decided to proceed with Bay Area R Landscape on 8/15 for them to start servicing my garden on 9/4. The company stated that they're fully licensed, insured and are maintaining 60+ house in the region. I texted on 8/31 to confirm if they'll show on 9/4. No response. Texted again on 9/3, but still no response. Gave them two calls on 9/4 and finally got a response back that the team has backed up and wasn't able to make it so they'll show first thing on 9/11. On 9/11, the team did not show again without any communication. Thus, I sent a text on 9/12 to terminate our agreement for the company to service my garden. As I haven't had the opportunity to work with them so I can't comment on the quality of the work, but if lack of communication starts on day 1 for a new customer, I'm not sure how responsive the team would be if future issues arise. The company did reach out explain the no show, but then again, lack of communication was reason I let go my former gardener to begin with. Recommend the company to handle communication better in the future.
