Initially they were great, the owner is very nice and knowledgeable. However I had several issues about his team showing up and ot doing what they were instructed to do. When I told the owner about this he said he would remind them. And guess what.. didn't get done. Gave them multiple chances and when I chatted with the owner about my issue, he just kept saying his guys were doing what they were told. Low and behold anything short of a security camera, my family is home and obviously notices them when they are here because of the dog barking. I've seen their other work and it looks like they focus more on the big projects, which are nice, but if you have a small small project or gardening service I would go somewhere else. Edited* In response to the owner, he's right, three trees were healthy. My review is based in YOUR lack of communication and understanding of what happened. Even when I laid it out all on text, explaining my issues, and then politely declining your services in the end, I felt I wasn't being understood as a CUSTOMER. Very happy with the work that Isidoro and his team did in our backyard. We met a few times, gave him an idea of what we wanted and our budget and he came back with a plan. We agreed on a start date and he and his team got to work. They did a very good job and we were quite impressed with how hard they worked. We were under the mistaken impression that installing artificial grass was pretty easy, and we were very wrong about that. All in all, they removed our existing landscaping, installed a drip system, trimmed trees, planted new plants and generally made everything look better. They also recommended plants that would grow in our area and partial shade. Honestly, I didn't believe these plants would grow because nothing ever did in our yard but wow, Isidoro was right and it looks great! read more

I would highly recommend using IG Landscaping. Isidoro and his team are pretty efficient and provide a good quality service. I got variety of work done from getting sprinkler system installed, mulch installed, flower beds, prepare kitchen garden. All the work was done to my satisfaction. We've been thoroughly impressed by Isidro's professionalism, integrity, patience, expertise, reliability, cost, creativity and of course, the quality of his work. Our project consists of a complete clean up, reconfigure and design of our front and back yard landscaping. Our yard was overgrown so we were looking for someone with the vigilance and will to take on our project along with the knowledge of extending our driveway to somewhat match the current brick pavers, building a compliant horizontal fence and dog gate for our pups. We don't care for a lot of shrubbery or plants and leaned more towards a drought resistant configuration. Isidro took the time to listen, recommend and design a layout that both of us loved. We had our own preferences for materials specifically designed to accommodate our dogs and he was flexible and accommodating (pics included) He communicated clearly, worked through every single detail, followed up to make sure both of our expectations were met and his rate is reasonable and fair. We observed how closely he worked and managed his crew throughout the weeks and our contractor & 5 other neighbors stopped by to ask for his contact information. We gathered quotes from 3 other landscapers and while some might come out to be marginally less, their portfolio, communication or honesty did not compare to IG's. I held out with my Yelp review because selfishly, I didn't want him to get booked up before our project was completely finished but we really lucked out finding Isidro and can't wait for everything to be done. He showed up on exact time that we had discussed. He provided an accurate estimate for the yard cleaning. He also mentioned very critical details about the trees and bushes that we have had overlooked. We decided to postpone our yard cleanup. Isodoro was late by 45 minutes or so, no heads up. Unapologetic and gave no reason for being almost an hour late. Started wandering around my garden without giving any explanation of what he was doing. Charged $120 to spend 10 minutes checking the watering system's timers. Created a list of things to-do including replacing plants that had died and fixing a few of the watering lines, and then ghosted. Did not hear back from him. Have texted and left numerous voice messages - no response. Unreliable. read more

We have been wanting to re-do our front yard completely to make it a beautiful garden with variety of plants, shrubs and succulents with a walk path and lush green drought tolerant grass. Looking for professionals around with excellent customer service and amazing professional work turns out we just hit the jackpot with Isidoro and his troops!! Our project had components of a complete clean up, wedding out and redesign of our front yard. Our yard was getting infiltrated with tons of weeds due the poor quality of grass that was left in by the previous owners. This had to be taken care of and with the redesign we leaned towards a rock-garden with a lot of drought tolerant plants. We had done a lot of research on the materials we specifically wanted to use and Isidoro was very flexible to go beyond the regular reach and secure them for us. While we were explaining the design, he communicated precisely, worked through every single detail, followed up to make sure both of our expectations were met and his rate is reasonable and fair. He had great inputs into what type of grass would be suitable for the lawn, drip system, organic plant beds and ideas to prevent influx of huge weeds. We gathered quotes from other landscapers and none matched the rate card from IG Gardening Services which of course blended with the amazing work, integrity and reliability. Isidoro and his troops helped weed out the end front yard, re-fertilize the soil, accurately layout the landscape design and was flexible with some last minute changes. His team did a thorough job in laying the drip system across the yard, re-configuring the entire sprinkler system and laying out the beautiful lush green sod. Every part of the work done is amazing and could not have asked more. Even after the project was completed, Isidoro took time to stop by during his drive-throughs through the neighborhood to make sure everything was as good as he delivered. Ditto on the one star reviews. We had the same experience of no show x 2. Finally, he did come, talked to us about our project, drew out our garden on graph paper and measured. We had some additional questions and invited him into our kitchen to further discuss because the wind had come up. When we asked about license and bonding, he replied he had been in business for 15 years and has been working on getting his license. That raised a red flag. 15 years of working on getting a license? He said workers are not bonded. He seemed uncomfortable with the inquiries and said he would come back next day at 2 pm to measure front yard. He came back the next day at 4 pm and measured. We have never heard from him again. That was 4 weeks ago. We waited to put in this comment to give him a chance. No way are going to hire anyone who is not licensed or reliable. read more

Since I never heard back from him, I called him the morning of the appointment to confirm the appointment. He did not call me back until 30 minutes before the appointment time in the early evening, by which he would not have made it on time. Despite my best judgment, I gave him my address and we rescheduled. He never showed up. No call or text. Don't waste your time. read more

I have several trees which need attention, including one that leans badly. I want to save that tree and asked gardeners who came whether they could stake that tree. They said it could be done. I did not request a quote from IG Gardening. Yelp automatically got them to contact me. I was hesitant due to no review on Yelp, but wanted to see what Isidoro thought. He explained to me why staking was not possible on that tree, but told me what he could do to save the tree. He was polite, knowledgeable and had ideas about my other trees. Plus his quote was very reasonable. He did the work to my entire satisfaction and exceeded my expectations in his thoroughness. His clean up afterwards was excellent too. Some gardeners would blow the debris to some hidden area, but Isodoro blew the debris into a pile, and picked them up. He said he has many customers who wanted to leave reviews on him on Yelp, but somehow the reviews do not show up. I hope this review will show up as he deserves to be commended. read more

Our backyard was in terrible shape -lots of dirt and weeds , uneven surface , weird trees, and no proper drainage etc. I met 4-5 people to get quotes for pavers . Isidoro showed up on time, understood my requirements and made suggestions for improvements . His quote was the best and included more things than others.
