The base weld cracked after 6 months and the retaining pin blew out of it throwing me into the screen. Nordictrack is a terrible company to deal with. In fact just getting a hold of someone is a chore all by it's self. Contacted the manager he made one call for me but basically was little to no help. I live locally and this experience was so bad I will never return to this fitness store again. In fact I have told my family, friends and co-workers about this incident. If you own and business and sell brand name equipment you should back your customers and stop washing your hands of the bad products your selling from your business. That's the bottom line. Nordictrack sucks I should of went with a peloton but the manager of Johnson Fitness and Wellness told me Nordictrack was a better product and convinced me otherwise. Total false information.

While we liked some of the options, we mentioned to John that what we REALLY wanted was to repair our old elliptical, but that we'd been frustrated in our contacts with the manufacturer's technicians. Even though it potentially meant the loss of a sale, he gave us a service recommendation, which worked out well for us. We were quite impressed by John's helpfulness and integrity. When our our elliptical finally does bite the dust, we are definitely going to go to Johnson's for the replacement !

I owned a treadmill that I bought from a big box sporting goods store, so I thought I was familiar with the options and sales approach. My assumptions were wrong. At Johnson the focus is on service and product knowledge. The sales person knew the products and was able to explain the various pros and cons without seeming pushy or too explainy (if that is a word). Their products and prices cater to those willing to spend significantly more than one would pay at a big box. However, the quality is leaps and bounds over those products too. Delivery, setup, and take away of the old machine was about $350 on top of the sales price. I feel the process and overall experience was excellent. Although the prices are higher than other places, it may be a case of you pay for what you get. Definitely would recommend Johnson's to people in my circle.

Steve had me test all of the brands I was considering - thank goodness he gave me water and a seat in a massage chair in between my test runs - and gave me quotes on the two models I narrowed down to, in my quest for the right elliptical. I returned a month later after doing more research and testing of equipment and chose the model I felt the most comfortable on. Buying it was a breeze! I called Steve to inform him that I was coming back out there to buy it ....by the time I got there, the paperwork was done and I just signed in the dotted line! It took longer for me to drive there than it did for me to buy it ha! So, the elliptical arrived and the gentlemen who assembled it were professional and quick! They were done assembling it within 15 mins! I immediately started my exercise regimen and haven't stopped yet. I love my new elliptical - suspension trainer! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Johnson Wellness and Steve when looking for any type of exercise equipment. I almost forgot! We end up purchasing the Horizon 7.4 AT for it's versatility and capability. Both the sales staff and the delivery team were great. Answered all of our questions on warranty and upkeep. Actual setup by the delivery team took less than 30 minutes, and disposed of all packaging materials as well. So far, very happy with the purchase and the services provided by the delivery team. I'm rating a recent purchase, and it's based on no accountability and ownership of the Salesperson…read more I am submitted a formal service complaint regarding my recent purchase of the Matrix S Force Performance Trainer from the Columbia, MD store. Upon delivery, the team did not bring batteries and therefore could not verify that the unit powered on. I purchased the required batteries that same evening, but the equipment still failed to power up. This appears to be due to either a loose or disconnected console mast wire or a faulty console. I immediately contacted my salesperson, Bryan Fortini, via email and voicemail. He did not respond. When I visited the store in person, he stated there was nothing he could do except report it to the delivery team. This is unacceptable. As the salesperson and my primary point of contact, he represents the company and should have responded promptly and taken ownership of the issue. The lack of responsiveness and ownership in this situation is extremely disappointing--especially considering that our household has invested over $15K in Johnson Fitness equipment since 2021. We've purchased multiple products, including an Octane Fitness elliptical, a Matrix stationary bike, a treadmill, and the Matrix S-Force Trainer, to build out our home gym. Given this level of commitment and loyalty, I expect a much higher standard of service. This experience falls well short of how a repeat customer should be treated.

I had contacted other local JF&W stores to see which store had the WaterRower I needed in stock but the only person who truly answered my questions and was super helpful from time of purchase to pick up was Nathan. To me this means a lot, especially during the COVID-19 Crisis where so many people seem to not care about their customers. If I ever am in the market for gym equipment I'd definitely contact Nathan first.
