Great burgers! This was probably the best burger I have had in awhile. We had a Lowrider and a Roadhouse with bacon and banana peppers (unfortunately they forgot the banana peppers on the actual burger). They don't have a kid's menu but you can create a custom burger. The burgers were all perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fries varied. Mine were slightly over seasoned and overlooked but others had perfectly cooked and seasoned batches. I wasn't wowed by the cheese fries option but the bacon Mac and cheese was definitely worth the indulgence and was a well priced side. We also enjoyed the house-made huckleberry pie. The crust was slightly salty, which I liked. The decor/environment was true to the name- a roadhouse with a no frills dining room but don't let that fool you. They are not old school. read more

Great place! We were in Great Falls for an event this past weekend and ate at Roadhouse Diner twice. Staff was extremely friendly and the food came out of the kitchen very quickly, even at lunch hour with every table full! They had unusual hamburgers, such as the PB&J Hamburger, and the spicy Lowrider. Check the art on the walls as much of it was drawn by one of the Diner owners. Tara was fantastic about coming out to the dining room and greeting the guests. Servings were large, with mounds of fries to go with the burger or sandwich. I had a huckleberry milkshake the first day, and chocolate the second. Both were great. Fun environment, great staff, and excellent food. What is not to like? read more

Wow! Amazing burgers, lunch with family, five ordered and five loved. If you are in Great Falls, you must and I mean must go there. I had the Roadhouse burger (double patty, grilled onions, pickles, and American cheese). Bun was fresh, meat is ground on location and fries made in house too. Wife had the Pub burger (single patty, mushrooms, provolone, and roadie sauce), she said delicious and would have it again. Son had PB and J burger, yes that's right peanut butter and jelly on a burger. It also had bacon, cheese, and was a single patty. It actually worked. I had to have a bite. It was tasty too. The other two ordered build your own burgers, they enjoyed them too. Seriously you need to try this place if you are a burger person. I will be back!! read more

Saw the reviews and stopped in for burgers while in Great Falls. Had the bacon cheeseburger and wow, it was delicious. Always thought Naps in Hamilton were the best burgers in the state, but this one sure gives Naps a run for their money. Everything was fresh and cooked just right. Burgers are sinful (in an amazingly good way.) A big appetite is required, menu is not very big but plenty to offer..

If you are or have someone with you who has special needs or requires accommodations, think twice about going here. Also, if you have a young and large family, think twice about going here. We were treated VERY unkindly. I am so sad and disappointed. We came here as out of town travellers. I was so excited to try the food here! the menu looks delicious and I've heard great things about it from family who are both local and from out of state. We're from Salt Lake City and traveled 10 hours to get to Great Falls. We were on our first major family road trip, which has not been an option the last two years because of serious health complications with our youngest son who deals with a major ongoing health condition. This year, he is well enough to travel and we wanted to take advantage of an opportunity to make some family memories before his health declines again. We got to the Roadhouse Diner with my husband and I, our 6 kids, and grandpa. We were SOOOOOO excited for the yummy burgers. We were seated and looking over the menu. Our server was very kind and helpful. My youngest son (with the health problems, and who also a bit developmentally delayed and struggles with speech) was antsy from all the time in the car. He often squeals or shrieks right now instead of using words to communicate. It's something we work with a specialist for. I think from the long hours in the car and the wonky sleep hours he's had, he was a lot more prone to act up. He was noisy. We tried our best to distract him and keep him from being disruptive. Another employee here ran us a complimentary basket of fries. Once he was able to have something to snack on he quieted down and was happy. We ordered and were all happy, and excited to try the novel PB&J burger that this place is known for. Soon after ordering, we were approached by a male manager or owner of some sort. He stood close to our table and spoke in an impatient, loud voice and said: "YOU NEED TO GET THIS UNDER CONTROL" as he looked at my son who had been noisy. I looked at my husband with a confused look. The person continued in an irritable tone, "WE'VE HAD 6 PEOPLE LEAVE BECAUSE OF THE NOISE HE IS MAKING. YOU NEED TO GET THIS UNDER CONTROL...OR YOU NEED TO LEAVE." I immediately felt my face get hot. I felt really shamed and hurt and embarrassed. He was speaking loud enough that the whole restaurant could hear what he was saying to us. My husband immediately stood up and said "THEN WE'LL LEAVE." I started crying, and we gathered our crew and walked out with everybody staring at us. I'm sorry that the noise my son was making had bothered customers enough to leave. But you know what, as we were paying customers also, and a party of 9, that was NO WAY for management to handle that. They ended up losing more than 6 customers. As a tired and traveling mother, I was trying my best to help my youngest son not be disruptive. Our other children were behaving well. And like I said before, our son had settled down and was behaving fine after getting his fries. I am disappointed that management devalued our family and especially my youngest son. I don't know what was going on with the manager that day, but I hope he's not always grumpy like that. His behavior was extremely demeaning. This trip has been really beautiful for our family, and it's during a time when we really don't know how many summers we have with our youngest son. It is such a shame that the Roadhouse Diner experience was so horrible when it was a place our family had been so excited to visit. I hope that this review can be read by management so that future situations with a-typical customers can be handled with more compassion and respect toward the customer(s). Every customer should be treated with the same respect, no matter how old or young, or despite how "different" they may be from what the manager might expect to be "normal". The manager could have handled the situation with a lot more tact and grace rather than with rudeness & agression. I'm sure your food is delicious. So good! Visiting from out of town for work and found this on yelp. I got the Bundy Burger naked. A little ham and eggs with a lot of burger and cheese! The bacon is so thick and delicious! I wish I was here longer to try more. My coworkers got some of the specialty burgers, the burger bowl, and the desserts. We liked it all! read more

So we went to the Roadhouse Diner on the suggestion of our kayak tour guide. The restaurant melds rustic with industrial and has a hip young vibe. The restaurant is small so make sure you don't mind small spaces. We all love a cool hangout but let's talk about the food. Just a hint, make sure you get fries instead of the salad as I am not a fan of dark green salad mixes without tomatoes. Also, the dressing was served on the side and I had to request an extra side as otherwise the salad was akin to eating a plate of leaves. Now I ordered the bean burger, my husband ordered the Sin Burger, and my mom got the classic Roadhouse. Now the burgers are the star of the show. I tried all three and they were incredible. The buns were soft and the burgers were cooked perfectly. I was truly impressed . However the fries were not fresh nor did they live up to the hype on the menu. If I was reviewing this establishment just on the burgers they would get a 5 star but unfortunately the sides were below average today and the service was just average. If I lived in Great Falls (I am from this town but moved away as a young child.) then I would definitely go to Roadhouse Diner again as the quality of the burgers are stellar and who doesn't love a good burger? read more

My wife and I are full time RV travelers and were passing through the Great Falls area. In a search for a place for lunch we came across this little place called Roadhouse Diner and a burger just sounded so good. Being on the road for 8 months, we have had the opportunity to try a lot of different places and this place is a "Must Try". The service is just second to none and the 2 owners are very hands on, she waiting tables and he in the kitchen. The staff is super friendly and he food is just incredible. We tried out Roadhouse Diner based on the reviews on Yelp. Was a great choice! We both created our own burgers - they did not disappoint!! I opted for the side salad instead of the fries. Nice to have that choice - would have liked more than just greens - there wasn't any other veggies - just greens. I tried my husband's fries and they were delicious and a huge amount! Oh man oh man oh man. Where do I even begin?! This was one of the first places I came when I moved to Great Falls, and I've gone almost weekly ever since!! I've had burgers all around the country and never did I think I would find the best one in the middle of Montana. This beats every NYC/LA/fancy burger I've ever tasted. I always trust the specials! Even if I think I won't like something on it, I always try it anyways, after trying around 30 different combinations, I still haven't found something I don't like!! Everything is so fresh and local which makes it even better. This is where I take all my new coworkers or friends who visit. If the food wasn't reason enough to come, the staff is! Tara makes me feel right at home every time I walk in and I always go visit when I need a pick-me-up. This place is about so much more than a meal, but they truly make it a full experience where you leave feeling so much better than you came. Best place to go in Montana for a handcrafted burger. Oh and the fries? They are.. Amazing! Not that hungry? Then just skip dinner and go straight for dessert. I love Tara's teas as well. The staff is warm and welcoming and the food is superb. I in particular love the "Sin City" burger and if you love spicy you need to try the "Widowmaker".
