Best kept secret in Woodbridge VA Bungalow has amazing food for a good price. They have the BEST steak and cheese anywhere. They serve it open faced with what looks like double meat- no skimping here and trust me I am a steak and cheese connoisseur. My mom had the fish and chips and they were great and their spicy pasta dish with shrimp and chicken is also great and very flavorful. Burgers are excellent too and their fries are VERY good. Visited with my parents on a Sunday for lunch. Moderately busy--service was excellent. Mom had the Marinated Steak Salad--she loved it. The steak was very tender and flavorful, greens were crisp, vinaigrette was very good. Dad had the Black Jack Burger, also very well liked. The habanero bbq sauce on the side did not get put on the burger, but we dipped our fries in it. A very slow, sweet heat, nothing overpowering. I went with the Italiano sandwich--love at first bite. Everything on it was quality, from the bread, to the abundant meats to the cheese and dressing. Update 1 Dec 19: came back to give it another try They redid the menu, so what I had last time wasn't available. I had the Cuban, wife had the Turkey burger, we both had sweet potato waffle fries. Meal was good except the fries came out cold which is odd because we were the first ones in the door at 1100. Last review: Start off with this is a great looking establishment, wide open space and courteous staff. We have been here once before and it was good. Decided to try again for lunch and ordered the Thai spicy chicken... presentation was on point, spicy and flavorful for the first few bites then... Bam! Raw chicken as I ate my way up to the fatter part of the breast. Sent it back, didn't want a new one, too worried about putting more in there for issues that will come later. Then my bill came, they only took off the cost of my sandwich, no visit from a manager... expressed my dissatisfaction to the waitress and then the floor manager showed up and apologized profusely for the incident and gave us a gift card for$25, which was the price of the bill that I just paid for my wife's burger and two beers. Not a gift card for $50 that would bring my wife and I back in to give them another try at no financial burden to us. The possibility that I now have salmonella swimming around my gut and will end up hurling from both ends for the next day or so... $25 seems very disingenuous... because people die from that shit... not me, I have a rock gut and I am sure it will pass without incident but had this been a lesser human... Went here for just the second time. I ordered a Crown Punch, I like crown royal and I think the mixers it stated were in the drink. This was on their specialty cocktail menu. I had said "I want the lunch that was on the menu"... the bartender actually had to look at the menu to see what I was talking about and she had to read what was in the drink to know how to make it. Having never had it before and not knowing what it should taste like I can't blame the horrible taste on the bartender. It could just be the mix of the drink that is ridiculously over sweet and acidic that burned as it went down my throat. Left half of it in the glass. Had a burger medium well. It was cooked perfectly but kind of a bland burger. The fries were pretty decent. I would order the food again, stick with drinks that I know, and will go back to try it again. read more

Bungalows is just what Woodbridge needed! With all the smokey dive bars in Woodbridge it's nice to get something that is fancy and clean. Bungalows is a great bar with a great beer selection, and so far the food has been pretty good as well. Bungalows has darts, lots of pool tables, a nice wood finished bar, a cool dining room, as well as a couple of proprietors tables. The cost is not cheap but definitely affordable. The food is pretty good for a place that I wasn't expecting great food from, mostly great beer. The nachos are great and HUGE (see pic) The Mom's Pot Roast is delicious and so is the Herb Roasted Chicken, wings aren't too shabby. The only downfall of the food so far was the Marsala Tenderloin Tips which was to me comparable to Hamburger Helper, not good for $16 :( But the other great food and beer I've had there make up for one bad item, I'll just steer clear of it from here. Of course I should mention the beer, they have anything and everything you can want, so whatever your tastes you'll be able to find it here. Six of us went here for dinner and I think we were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the beer selection. Lots of good options, and our server Ali informed us they had just switched to the spring menu. I went with the bacon cheeseburger (Angus burger, applewood smoke bacon, white & Wisconsin cheddar cheese), and it was cooked just the way I like it (medium-rare). Upon my interrogation, Ali confessed that the fries were frozen, so she offered me their home-baked potato chips instead, which were delicious! The burger was $12, but it was worth every penny. This is the place for "Usuals", "Happy Hour Goers", and those with a case of the Mondays. Beer, wings, pool tables, dart boards, great food, and excellent service. I've been several times, whether with my wife or a group of friends, we've always had a good time. Being a Alehouse I will lead with the selection of beer. You've got a good selection of stouts, ales, wheats, and lagers, about 25 different beers. I wouldn't say a lot of them are significantly great and different. Although, my opinion doesn't count because I'm not a huge beer drinker...yeah, I'm that guy. The food has always been pretty good. They just redid the menu awhile back. Expect your usual bar foods with a little added quality. I'm not sure what it is with Alehouses trying to go above and beyond for food but I like the effort. I'm a big fan of the wings and all of the sauces. I have to give them props for the deserts, all are handmade daily and switch out regularly. Service has always been pretty good. A group of us have come there 10+ times but sadly they never seem to remember us. I guess that is my own personal standard, if you go more than 5 times and on a schedule, they should remember your name or drink...like Cheers. Prices aren't that bad, you can get some good deals on drinks and occasionally the food. You have deals throughout the week, ladies night with skinny and well drinks. Wing Wednesdays are great, you can get them half off for 10 wings plus half off on beer flights. This place has a wide variety of things to do, from pool, darts, and TVs with every sport up on them. There are a few pool tables, 4 I think, I have yet to play but have seen them from the restaurant and they usually seem full. They have 5 dart boards in the bar area but they are never full. The place has TVs throughout the restaurant with a wide variety of sports, and if I was a huge sports fan, I would probably choose to come here over a few other places that offer the same luxury. Overall a great hangout with friends or even a casual place for a date. Whether you sit in the bar or dining room you'll have good service and a great atmosphere. Not the greatest place to bring kids but you'll feel like a kid with all the fun you'll have. So this place is pretty cool.... If you like having choices for beer and bar/restaurant food that has variety - a lively atmosphere and sports entertainment...then you will like it here. I have only had two things to eat: The grilled shrimp appetizer - delicious but very spicey The Brick oven pizza (well done) - tastes great and they cook it til the pepperonis turn crisp - just the way I like it. The service is good - all of the servers Ive had are very attentive. Id like to see a little more buffer space for darts. The tables are too close to the dart throwing line. I didnt like that someone came up to me and asked me not to turn my hat around backwards when I was playing darts.....a little unnecessary if you ask me. Thank you to the staff at the Bungalow Alehouse. They worked with me to help plan a memorial get together for my husband. When the number of attendees increased, they happily increased our area. The catered platters were delicious and hot, and the beer and wine were excellent. The two waiters assigned to us were pleasant, helpful and on top of things. I could not have asked for a better experience during a difficult time. I highly recommend the Bungalow Alehouse for get-togethers as well as just a relaxed time for good food and drink. Wow the food was terrible. Driest overdone burger (ordered it medium) with no condiment. Weird atmosphere, definitely more of a bar than a restaurant. Fish and chips was straight out of the Gordon's fisherman frozen box. Kids pasta came soaked in pool of butter with fries not veggies or fruit. Now we know, will not be returning. Update: changed to 3 stars due to good management. Owner responded to my original review quickly and graciously. 4 times i have tried to come to this location, and each time i have recieved either poor service or no service at all. 1) 1st time I visited, it took them 21 mins to notice that I was sitting there waiting for a drink. I'm in the Army and we are apparently trained to blend to our surroundings due to our camouflage but DAMN!!! 2) 2nd time I went for a Steelers game. I was there and it didn't seem busy at all but having one person trying to tend to all the customers was not fair. So i cannot blame the bartender for the Ale house having poor management of personnel. On the other hand I did see a waitress just counting all her tips and receipts for a good 10 mins and laughing in the corner. ‍ So maybe, they should do that when their shift is done in the back without disturbing other workers. 3) Food!!! Even though delicious, it took forever for them to bring out. I'm not picky but if I'm hungry I want my food warm at a minimum. So i don't know if it was out waiter or the kitchen, but this is un unacceptable. 4) Steelers vs Jaguars... Took my date there cause 1, i wanted some good food, but aso wanted to show my date that the ale house is still nice to hang out, while having deinks and a meal. Nope. That didn't happen. Host greeted us with it will be some time before we get a table. Meanwhile we were sitting there looking at empty tables. Took them a minute to figure out if it was occupied or not. And apparently you have to fill the whole table if u desire to sit. I say this cause a different customer came in after us and got a table for four immediately, even though he was just one. I guess next time i will have to say we are a party of 4 or more to get a table. Overall, get it together management. I know you will still make money, but if u have something good why treat your customers like they don't mean anything. I guess that's why you have gone from a 4 star to almost a 3 star and slowly but surely declining to become the worst sports bar in woodbridge. read more

Came here on a Wednesday night thirsty and with a rather large appetite. Took advantage of the prime rib special with baked potato and vegetables and complimented the meal with a Bell's amber ale. I was even able to get the ballgame on one of the many flat screens lining the walls. This alehouse is an open bar with a loud, meet-market atmosphere. There are multiple flat screens, dart boards and pool tables in the corners - a large bar in the center of the establishment with cozy tables and booths spread throughout the dining area. Despite the bar atmosphere, If you want a family meal, you can still accomplish this as the tables are sectioned off from the bar and gaming area. My service was fantastic. I was very surprised to get excellent waiter service in an "alehouse" but I can only describe it as such. The waiter was very friendly, articulate with menu items and specials and constantly checked on me throughout the entire time I was seated. My prime rib was cooked to specs and was satisfied with the quality of the food in general. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant was well maintained. The manager checked on me between waiter visits and was receptive when I asked to have one of the televisions switched to a baseball game. I think this makes for a great social center for singles around the Potomac Mills / Woodbridge area of Prince William county. read more

Came in for dinner on Friday the 26th with my wife for a quick bite that was anything but quick. We were seated by a young man who was pleasant and waited about 10 minutes before our server came. She was a blonde pregnant lady with a vape in her hand. She seemed disinterested and asked "what do y'all want to drink" We ordered drinks and asked if we could go ahead and put our food in and she huffed and said hold on before walking away. She came back with drinks and took our order. She was extremely rude and short the entire time as if we were bothering her for being there. She didn't come back once we got our food and my wife needed ranch, we were missing silverware and had no drinks left so I got up to find someone to help. A young man asked if I was okay and I explained what was going on and he immediately sprang to help. He brought everything and then went to go tell our server who did not make an appearance for another 15 minutes. When she did return she put the check book on top of the dirty plates and said "ready when you are" As she walked away I heard her say "not like y'all tip anyways" We just moved here and wanted to give this place a try since we both enjoy playing pool and it was recommended to us by a neighbor but we won't be returning after this experience. read more

Great place to eat, hangout and socialize. The food is amazing. I love their nachos (1/2 a tank is enough to feed 2 people) and flatbread pizzas. The menu has such great variety that you will satisfy most everyone when you dine here with a group. The beer selection is also great. There brunch is also worth trying especially with their mimosas. We came here for a birthday dinner for the hubby. We were offered a private room with its own TV and located near the pool tables and darts. I made a reservation about one week earlier and had never been here before. I needed a location that would entertain the guys, have a spot for the ladies to talk and was able to bring my kids to (15 and 8). The staff was super fast and efficient, did separate checks before I even told them, and were very helpful. It is a great laid back family hangout. Food wise, it wasn't too bad. More flavor will do it wonders. However, my rating is definitely based on staff, atmosphere, and entertainment. read more

There was an unfortunate event that happened last night at this restaurant. An employee had passed out and two of my friends came to the aid of the man giving him CPR until help arrived. Our group was playing pool and we are charged by the hour. That is fine. Since that incident happened and two in our group helped the man which took about 20 - 30 minutes, we simply asked if we could receive an extra half an hour on our time since we lost it. The manager told us we were insensitive about the man's life and then told us we could play the evening for free. However, we never received a thank you for helping resuscitate their employee and he told the waitresses how bad we are who ignored us the rest of the evening. We help them and this is what we get in return? We just wanted a little extra time back. This place has some sad management. read more

Fun place to go to shoot some pulls or to play darts. They are open until 1:30am so there's finally something to do in Woodbridge when you don't want to venture too far.
