SO happy I found this place. We were leaving the park on a Saturday morning and wanted a quick breakfast. The town is packed on Saturday mornings and most restaurants had lines and a few wouldn't even accept take out orders. The gal at the health food store told me about Roadrunner for a quick meal. It is SO much more. It is really good: thoughtfully and caringly prepared food. We had the weekender burrito and the eggs were fluffy and the meat wasn't greasy. The Mexican hot chocolate brownie was great and had a wide range of flavors. I also picked up some fried chicken that we had for dinner when we got home. It was really good and held up great, crispy and not greasy. I would return here even if I could easily get into a regular restaurant. Don't let the "grab 'n' go" fool you; this is the great spot! read more

What a delightful surprise it was to walk into this place and find a variety of organic drinks, snacks, and food (including some vegan options)! I even spotted some items I'd never seen and was thrilled to finally try Joshua Tree Coffee Company. I ordered an 18-hour cold brew with oat milk and it came to less than $5 - great price for a high quality beverage. Stopped in while my friends waited in line at the visitor center next door. Food was good, coffee was trash. My friend and I tried the Salted Caramel Mochas and for $6 I would have thought they would have been made with espresso and not regular brewed coffee. Imagine my surprise when I looked up to see the guy topping it off with brewed coffee. There was also so much syrup (even in my half sweet) that we had to stop somewhere else to toss them and get new coffee because they weren't drinkable. OH! And the only milk options were either Oat or half and half??? Who makes a mocha with half and half? In better news: the breakfast sandwich was okay minus the bread being kind of hard and my friend said her breakfast burrito was good. If you're looking for a quick bite, this place works. Perfect place to grab pre-wrapped sandwiches (~$12) prior to driving into the national park. I had an Italian, and it was good. I felt that it was a bit dry and possibly needed some mayo, but I understand pre-wrapping you wouldn't want the sandwich to get soggy. Convenient location located in the Joshua Tree visitor center. Grab and go - sandwiches, wraps, pasta salads, breakfast bowls, breakfast wraps, etc. They also have a variety of drinks and local products that will make great unique gifts. They also serve coffee. Roadrunner Grab + Go just opened up a couple of days ago and I've already been twice so that's a testament to the quality of their food. I've had the vegan breakfast burrito twice now as well as the curried tofu salad wrap and a container of beet & carrot salad and all have been top notch. Fresh, flavorful food at fair prices with lots of vegan options in downtown Joshua Tree is such a welcome and necessary addition. Parking is plentiful and the location is convenient. Staff are polite, efficient, and adhere to Covid safety protocols. They also carry fun snacks, local coffee beans, and cute t-shirts of GiGi, their roadrunner mascot. I expect to be a regular and recommend RRG+G to anyone wanting to support local business and also eat delicious, fresh food. read more

This place is super convenient and has huge portions. We got the breakfast egg, sausage, cheese sandwich and the vegetarian breakfast burrito (meant to grab one with meat but that's my bad and it was still yummy). The eggs were super fluffy and light, the salsa was yummy, and the sandwich brioche was good. I'm taking off a star because it was definitely tourist prices, so as locals we probably won't come back all that much, but it is SUPER handy as a grab and go for heading in and out of the park. Also ALL the the breakfast options had spinach in them, which I don't personally like. Our vegan friends loved the chocolate chip cookies. read more

I love Roadrunner! I'm there almost every weekday for my breakfast or lunch. It's great to be able to run in and grab and go! Everything is delicious. And the staff there is always super nice and helpful. I'm a property manager in the area and I'm always recommending Roadrunner to my guests, especially when they're on their way into the National Park. Incredibly kind staff and surprisingly stellar quality from a "grab and go" spot. We came in 10 minutes before it closed and they were out of the "Turkey Sandwich" I'd seen people praise on Yelp. They offered to make it and were so sweet about it. I also bought some packaged fruit and cookies expecting it to just be grub. I got a breakfast burrito and my girlfriend got a turkey sandwich. Their sandwiches are really good but the breakfast burrito was disappointing. The burrito was supposed to have bacon and sausage but there was zero bacon and the saddest amount of sausage. I would recommend sticking to their sandwiches. read more

It is conveniently located next to the Visitor Center so it's an easy stop to get both your parking pass at the VC and then some easy-to-travel lunch and snacks at Roadrunner. My kids shared a ham and cheese sandwich, my husband got the roast beef sandwich and I got the tuna wrap. Everything was freshly made and very tasty. Also, DO NOT MISS the s'mores bar. It was a wonderful treat to have after a couple of hikes at Joshua Tree. We will definitely be back, to JTNP and to Roadrunner. read more
