Coconut Cream Matcha (loved the coconut cream)

My friend introduced me to this place and I have to say it is a great cafe! The first time I came here I ordered a coconut matcha latte (not too sure of the name) with lactaid milk (I AM GRATEFUL they have this option because us lactose friends will APPRECIATE IT). It was delicious ! the matcha to coconut to milk ratio was balanced and I appreciated that. There were coconut bits in my drink and I enjoyed it! The second time I had a drink from here my friend ordered me a strawberry coffee ? (Not sure if the name) but the sweetness to coffee ratio was balanced and I was surprised considering (imo) the coffee is strong while still being sweet. When I was there , there were a lot of seatings and it was spacious so you don't feel cramped standing and waiting for your drinks ! Would recommend to check this place out !

I loved their salted caramel and coconut with lactaid since I learned of them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I am so incredibly happy to see their new location that is so beautiful and has a very calm atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ladies behind the counter are super friendly as was the gentleman. Be sure to specify if you want your drink hot or iced as I didn't realize it until the hot drink I thought I ordered came out iced.

I'm beyond thrilled they've finally reopened! I stopped in earlier and was ecstatic to see my longtime favorite Strawberry Delight, still on the menu. For well over a year, this drink was my daily addiction, especially after my previous go-to coffee spot got rid of my favorite strawberry drink and then closed for good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was friendly and the location is spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So happy to have this spot back!

The drinks are delicious. The banana syrup is so good and I love that it is homemade. The drinks are always made at a reasonable time. I haven't experienced I long wait at their new location. I'm excited to try their food items that they are soon going to offer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think they also have lots of space for seating on regular tables and two couches or three.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And they have restrooms so yay for that.

Great coffee! So glad they have a permanent place in Montebello and am looking forward to trying their various options. So far my favorite have been the keto options as well as the Brown Shaken Sugar Espresso and the iced Teddy Graham latte.

Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso (Large - $7.75) - "It's DELICIOUS!"

I ordered the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso (Large - $7.75). It's iced coffee with organic brown sugar, oat milk, cinnamon, and topped with cold foam and crumble. To my immense surprise, it's functional and flavorful. The caffeine is strong, yet this brew is soft, silky, & creamy. My eyes widened at its quality as I felt its fresh, clean ingredients. Visiting Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello) is a humbling, unique experience. I visited Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello) on Monday (around 10:18AM). [[HIGHLIGHT]]My immediate impression was low. This small business was surrounded by other shops covered in graffiti, flipped shopping carts, and dirty orange construction cones[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The parking situation was confusing. There's a private parking lot behind Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello); however, there's a big blue sign that says "unauthorized vehicles will be towed." The sign lists only four businesses: Angry Horse Brewing, Sick Barbers Shop, The Magic Touch, and Prestamo Mortgage Corp. None of these say "Roam & Brew Coffee." However, I later spoke with Staff, and Staff explained that their business uses the "Angry Horse Brewing" building, so parking is allowed. I recommend adding their business's name to that sign to prevent continued confusion. If unable to park behind, there's [[HIGHLIGHT]]also street parking. Street parking is "2 Hour Parking - 7AM to 6PM - except Sunday." Staff is cordial & professional. Staff was awkward when answering my questions, but Staff attempted to give a clear response with a smile. Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello) is shockingly busy with customers despite the poor location. Still, my drink took four minutes and 38 seconds. Quick! As mentioned, I ordered the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso (Large - $7.75). It's delicious! The caffeine is strong & enduring; the brown sugar tasted very fresh and crackly; and the drink is freshly brewed with a pleasant sweetness. This coffee is not bitter nor overly sweet. The ice ratio is also fair; it's a lot of tasty liquid. Surprisingly, this coffee rekindled memories of the cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. As I sipped, I felt happy. The ambiance at Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello) almost feels "hipster." The location looks worn down, and the air smelt a little musty as I entered. The location is not dirty, but it's also not immaculate. I appreciated how the floors were relatively sleek, but it would have benefited from more sweeping. Thankfully, the tables were very clean and smooth. Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello) had a steady customer flow; however, many customers chose to just order-and-leave. The surrounding neighborhood didn't feel the safest, so I can understand. Also, this location felt like a poor study/work spot for electronic devices. I only counted two accessible electric outlets. Staff also explained that there's wifi for customers, but it has no password. However, I did enjoy the upbeat, bouncy music[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fortunately, the location feels spacious with its tall ceiling. However, there's only four long communal tables. It includes a long bench and many chairs (about 20). This business also has a small self-service water station. I also observed a worn down, dingy game station (ex: Jenga, battleship, checkers, etc). Also, I noticed customers walking inside with dogs on leashes, so this business appears dog friendly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Overall, Roam & Brew Coffee (Montebello) surpassed my expectations. I did not expect such depth & flavor from its coffee. Yet, I found joy. It's a memorable, tasty coffee experience. If nearby, I happily recommend the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. 4.6 out of 5

Came for their last day before they close their doors. So sad to see them go. Roam and Brew truly became a Montebello staple. Picked up a Vanilla Chai today, so good and refreshing, hope they can open again soon.

I love this coffee. It's located inside Angry Horse Brewing. The pumpkin spiced latte is the best I've tasted. I also recommend the peppermint mocha , the teddy graham latte and the hazelnut mocha.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]At first glance it looks like just a brewery, but it also operates as a café during the day, which I think is really creative[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I got the cinnamon date dream and thought it was just okay. The sweetness kind of overpowered the actual coffee flavor, and I wish the roast was a little stronger, but that might just be personal preference. The coffee here is definitely priced higher than most places. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've studied here a few times and there's plenty of seating, though it can get loud from the music outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was helpful with recommendations and made our order quickly. Aside from the price and the lighter coffee flavor, everything else was solid.

The coconut crème matcha was so divine. Nutty, creamy and not overly sweet. The sourdough scone was wonderful too! It wasn't dry and the the light vanilla glaze was just the right amount of extra sweet flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The codes were so chill here on a Sunday morning. Great local coffee shop! Location/ambiance: Right off Whittier Blvd Main Street and across from a very popular coffee shop Cafe Santo. The cafe itself is also a brewery spot in the evening! Quiet inside with one person studying and friends chatting softly. It's a bit dim inside relying on more natural light. I almost wasn't sure if it was open since the windows are tinted. Service: The barista/cashier I spoke to was very attentive and friendly! She asked if I had any questions and if I was ready to order. I needed a few minutes and she gave me exactly that while also checking in. Food: I ordered the sea salt caramel and coco latte (half sweet, iced, whole milk) and a matcha latte (almond, agave sweetener). Both were very tasty! So glad I did 1/2 sweet cause it felt like the right amount of sugar. Tastes very similar to a Samoa Girl Scout cookie (just without the chocolate)! Can't really judge their coffee alone since I got a more flavored drink that dominated the coffee. However, I enjoyed the fun combo of syrups! I had a sip of the matcha which tastes like higher quality as they use Senzo matcha which I've heard great things about. Mild flavor and glad we did a nut milk so the flavor came thru! Will happily go again!

So i went in to get acouple of coffees for me and my husband, and they were very, very good. The coffee was very bold strong kind of had a velvet taste to it and then the cold foam that they put on top you do pay extra for it. It was completely worth it. The girl who made my coffee was very nice and very helpful when it came to me ordering my coffee, it's a cozy little space . Would definitely recommend popping for a coffee or something sweet to eat. read more

By far one of my favorite coffee shops! This is my go-to spot whenever I need a caffeine fix. As a true coffee lover, I can confidently say this place never disappoints. My top 3 drinks are the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, the Strawberry Delight, and the Teddy Gram -- all delicious. Giving it five stars coz I have nothing bad to say. The coffee was good. My daughter had the matcha and it was good also. The service was friendly helpful and patient. It was our first time visiting and need extra time to look over the menu. (While at the counter ready to order) the cashier didn't mind. She even suggested some stuff. I've been frequenting Roam and Brew Coffee since they opened, so I guess it's about time I write a review. This coffee shop is fantastic for all types of preferences, whether you have a sweet tooth or if you're a coffee snob like me, or somewhere in between--trust me, you will not be disappointed. There truly is something for everyone! I would share 'better' pics if I could, but I often find myself enjoying my drink before I remember to snap a photo. Their coffee is delicious, and the customer service is superb. As a baker myself, I appreciate how they clearly label their milk frothing cups, and other items to avoid cross-contamination, which is especially important for those with food allergies. I came here because a friend of mine always posted their coffee and this place is so good!!! Such a good local coffee spot and everyone here is always so friendly! What I love is that it's right next to the brewery and so many locals come here just to chill and just to do work, or have their Bible study group or just come to enjoy a cup of coffee. They have really amazing small treats too like banana bread and scones. I highly recommend everyone to come here! read more

Saw this coffee shop here on Yelp and wanted to come check it out. First things first, it's connected to a bar, separated of course by barn doors. Didn't feel to comfortable bringing my kids here due to that because the wife and I do not drink and are not part of the drinking crowd in any way, my only concern for me was having to keep reminding my son that "no, we are not at a bar" I'm not sure what time this place closes but I wouldn't want to bring my kids here when it's happy hour next door. Secondly, there are no restrooms, I'd imagine you would have to go to the bar area to use it, what if your kid has to use the restroom? Are they allowed to go into the bar area? I have no idea because I don't go to bars. I tried the brown sugar shaken espresso, it was good! There's other coffee shops that make it much better but it was good. Lastly the pricing of it was about a $1 more than other coffee shops I've gone to, $7 is a little steep. Maybe the added cookie on top makes it more expensive, who knows. All in all, I really like seeing more and more small business coffee shops popping up, read more

I was really excited to come and support a local spot in our community so I placed an order for pick up through Door Dash. We waited in line for a few minutes as the store doesn't have a "pick up here" space so as we approach the register, the cashier tells the people in front of us that it will be 20 minutes to get their order. According to Door Dash app, our order should've been ready (10 minutes after we placed it) but the cashier said it was never received. They had about 8-10 empty cups lined up on the counter and the cashier had to call over (what I assume was) the manager for help. There were 3 people working, two of which look visibly overwhelmed so I made small talk with the manager/owner while he scrambled on the system. The place has been open since September and it seems like a great place to come and play board games (which they offer) if you can ever get served. I looked behind me and there was another 8 people or so in line, plus another 12 or so sitting throughout the restaurant on their phones. I didn't notice anyone drinking coffee so it's possible they were all waiting ahead of us. I'm immunocompromised so I asked the manager if there was any way to prioritize my order since door dash clearly said it was ready. He said he could not. I understood but feel that for a Saturday morning, the store was terribly unprepared. Factor in their system not working properly by not receiving online orders and their lack of desire to try and correct a situation ( that may have not been their fault ) but is a poor reflection on their business nevertheless and makes me not want to visit this place again! The experience left me perplexed and I hope management considers the small actions that could've made a difference in this review. I wish them the best and hope they become a staple in our hood while not sacrificing service or quality of experience. read more

I was recommended this place by a fam friend. So I went on a whim last week....honestly the coffee wasn't anything spectacular and the matcha was just not it for me - the customer service was what made me dislike the entire experience overall. The baristas had no personality & felt like they didn't want to be there. it was a turnoff for me. they didn't offer any recommendations or talk much at all. lol maybe that's asking for too much but for someone who is always trying new coffee shops and encountering CS employees they're usually more upbeat. the place is vibey & they have a brewery attached that is open later in the day I believe. It looks like it could be a great time. I like to be gracious and will give it another shot and hope that it makes up for my first experience here. will update my review then. read more

I love this coffee shop!! I've had the brown sugar shaken espresso and the cinnamon date dream and they both have not disappointed. Super clean, a lot of seating, and great environment. The staff was so helpful and patient with me since it was my first time. I ordered a cinnamon dulce (or dolce I can't remember) iced and hot keto latte and it was amazing. The perfect amount of sugar. I love the options of keto coffee this place has. This is my first time coming in and sadly, it'll probably be my last. When I walked in one of the barista said hello, which I thought was nice. I ordered a brown sugar shaken espresso and I received my drink 15 minutes later. Not sure if that's what they typically take, but I thought it was kind of a lot considering I go to a lot of different coffee shops and I've never waited that long. It had a piece of bell pepper, a little chicken and I think a plum. Aside from the banana leaf I liked the tamale. The latte was delicious. Nice coffee flavor and sweetened perfectly. Definite recommend and I will for sure be back.

When I went to use the membership for the first time, I arrived with my two sons after checking the business hours on Facebook and Instagram. When we got there, a man was doing maintenance on the playground and told us it would be about an hour before we could enter. My son, who has autism, was understandably upset, so I took him next door to the pet store to help distract him while we waited. After an hour, we returned--only to be told it would be another 30 minutes. At that point, I asked if my sons' memberships were active through Regional Center. The employee flipped through a notebook and couldn't even locate one of my son's memberships. We left because my son's patience was gone, which is directly related to his autism. This entire experience left a very sour taste. If a business offers social recreation services through Regional Center, accurate hours and organized membership records are essential. What's even more upsetting is that I later discovered Regional Center was charged for six months of membership, even though we never attended or used the membership at all. I never signed a contract agreeing to ongoing charges. I also received a text stating the membership would not be active if we didn't attend--yet they still billed Regional Center. Also, never extended services. Between the inaccurate hours, lack of accommodation, disorganization, and billing issues, I would not recommend this business to Regional Center families.

Stopped by Roam & Brew Coffee in Montebello on my way to work, and I'm already looking forward to going back They're best known for their Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, so naturally that's what I ordered. When I showed the barista a photo of the drink I'd seen online, she explained that the original photos were taken when they first opened and that they've since made some improvements to the recipe. Originally, the espresso sat on top of the drink, which looked beautiful but sometimes meant customers would only taste milk or cream from the bottom. Now the espresso is mixed throughout the drink for a much better balance. The only thing you'll want to do is give it a quick stir or shake before drinking. Some of the brown sugar settles at the bottom, so if you immediately stick your straw down there, you'll get a mouthful of brown sugar crystals. Not necessarily a bad thing--but definitely worth mixing first! Once mixed, the drink was fantastic. The espresso was bold without being bitter, the brown sugar added just the right amount of sweetness, and everything felt really well balanced. It was one of those coffees that makes you slow down for a second and appreciate how good it is. I also picked up a vanilla bean sourdough scone, and wow--that paired perfectly with the coffee. It was flavorful, not overly sweet, and honestly the perfect breakfast treat alongside the shaken espresso. The café itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and lots of seating. They open early (7:00 am), which is a huge plus if you're heading to work and need a quality coffee stop before your day starts. Parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day. There are a few spaces nearby, but Whittier Boulevard tends to stay busy, so you may need to park on a side street or across the street if the front spots are taken. Overall, this was a great experience. Between the excellent coffee, delicious pastries, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, it's easy to see why people keep recommending this spot. I was excited to finally try this spot since I had bookmarked it when it first opened. The place was chill and good for studying and hanging out. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte and a matcha latte. Unfortunately, the pumpkin spice latte didn't have much of a pumpkin flavor. It just tasted like straight vanilla syrup. The matcha was also disappointing; it lacked any real matcha flavor and tasted more like watered down vanilla syrup. The ratios felt off, which made both drinks underwhelming. On top of that, the drinks were on the pricier side, averaging around $7-8, which made the experience feel even less worth it. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't live up to my expectations. read more

The staff here went above and beyond with their kindness and professionalism, creating a welcoming and warm atmosphere. Their coffee was exceptional--rich, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. The space itself is perfect for productivity, offering a calm and comfortable environment ideal for getting work done. This is easily THE BEST COFFEE SHOP HIDDEN GEM in the heart of MONTEBELLO. They have a variety of drinks all uniquely crafted and taste is top notch , everything tastes high quality They are a family owned business and every time I'm greeted they have the sweetest and most grateful customer service. Roam and Brew is so delectable, I come every single day, and every time it tastes better than before. The workers are very kind and help out when I have questions. Overall, I give this place a 10/10.
