Straight forward menu, basic but delicious chicken with a few sides. Love how tender the chicken is and the huge portions they give you. Definitely worth it

This place has not changed a single bit in 15 years. I grew up going to Roasters, but the location by my home was relocated. My boyfriend and I stopped here while apartment hunting and we absolutely loved it. I got the chicken finger platter and he got the chicken finger sandwich and they both hit the spot. The price for the food is unbeatable and we had our meals within 20 minutes of being seated. It is so wholesome remembering something from your childhood and it being the exact same experience. Service, experience, and food quality LOVE!

Half rack ribs. I cut each rib that's why it looks like that! Ribs were awesome!

Excellent food! Food was tasty! Service was great and food came out fast. Place was spacious and had a lot of seating. Place was clean as well as the restrooms. Friendly staff.

    Peach cobbler (front) crisp (back)

Hunting for the best peach cobbler in Atlanta and this place popped up on one of the places to go. The menu has the homemade peach cobbler and it was fair. A little too sweet with the cinnamon but lack the crunch of a crumble or pie. I needed more of that. The crisp was the star for the 2 items. It was quite pleasant. If I was in the area, I'd go back for dessert.

Quick service. Good food. Old diner ambiance, which I totally love! I'm kicking myself since it took me this long to try this place out. It's your standard old school American food. Nothing over engineered. Rotisserie was juicy and tasty. But between here and kid cashew, I'd say kid cashew's chicken is the winner. Although this rotisserie is more of a 'traditional' variation - meaning, nothing too fancy - a good overall classic. Also, when it comes to side items, this place kicks Kid Cashew's butt haha. I watched a guy at a next table only eat side items (which they have a 'veggie plate'), and I was like - this dude must be vegetarian. NOPE - it's because their side items are good. It's very homey. All in all, it gives me a Grandma Rudine type of food - lol. If you get my drift. But yeah - i can dig it.

I grew up right around the corner from this strip mall (the parking is an absolute nightmare. Maybe not quite as bad as towards the Roasters end, but the narrow slanty-spots aisle/road nearest the building around the middle/Trader Joe's section is just horrible.) It was a really sunny, fall afternoon and I wanted to eat lunch on a patio, and while the ambiance of Roasters' patio isn't all that great (parking lot view), the food and service all but made up for it. The portions, price, and taste of my lunch was amazing, and the server (can't recall his name) was friendly and prompt. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as some of the local BBQ places that I frequently do carry-out from, but for how much food we got in our entrees and its price, it was pretty stiff competition. I'd gladly go back again, mostly for the bbq pork, chicken, collards and corn bread. (The black eyed peas and the broccoli were severely under-seasoned, but the rest of the things were so good, all I needed was to fork different bites together.)

Quarter dark meat with mac and fries!

Came here on a Saturday night around 6 pm and although the place was busy we were seated at once. The place is casual and has a family friendly vibe, so seems like the kind of place people would also go to during the week for an easy meal. Our waitress was great, on point checking up on us but also giving us a moment when we needed to look through the menu. We started out with a couple of rolls, trying both the yeast and cornbread, and although both were tasty the cornbread was the hands down winner. For my main course I got the quarter dark with mac and fries. The chicken tasted just like store bought rotisserie chicken, which I guess is the point, but not something I would order again. Mac n cheese was fine but nothing special, so would try another side in the future as they have a ton of options. Really enjoyed the fries with seasoning on.

    Chicken quesadilla with sautéed veggies
    Sandra B.

They did it again. Our food was delicious and the service was excellent as always. I ordered a chicken quesadilla with veggies (peppers and onions only) that I asked to be sauteed until soft. I omitted the broccoli and corn. Perfectly cooked. Special requests don't bother them. The quesadilla was hot and gooey without the contents falling out. The portion size was enough for two. My daughter had a grilled chicken Caesar salad with their homemade poppyseed dressing. She always gets this so it must be that good. I can never leave without getting a slice of their homemade key lime pie. So creamy and the tart is pleasantly just right! Roasters is ideal for family, group, and solo visits. I'm already craving another quesadilla.

Ordered thru Grubhub and the food is good. Rotisserie chicken was very tender and flavorful. The lemon pepper wings were most lemon and no pepper. Other half enjoy the bbq wings and chicken sandwich.

I was here because my brother wanted to celebrate Father's Day and chose this as his place of choice. Nothing says Happy Father's Day like southern BBQ! Lol! My mom and I had questions, the wonderful young lady was nice and patient with us. You order at the line/register and they call your name to pickup your order. I ordered the Judge's Sampler (Leg + Thigh, Smoked Turkey Breast, Brisket, Basket of Fried Okra, Macaroni and Cheese, with Texas Toast, and an order of the 3 sides platter for my little one and I to split since I wanted to try other sides. I ordered the green beans, hush puppies, and additional macaroni and cheese. I also ordered a banana pudding to go. My food was great! From start to finish! My brisket was soooooooo tender! What did the man say, tendernism, and that's what the brisket gave! So did the chicken and turkey! The leg and thigh was seasoned perfectly, and the smoked turkey breast slice wasn't dry at all! It was packed full of flavor and the right balance of tenderness and flavor. It all paired very well with the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce. I'm a fan of mustard based/yellow sauce so I could be bias. The mac and cheese was good, not OMG, I'm going to smack my mama good, but good enough to want more. The green beans were good, the fried okra was too; both could use a tad more seasoning or maybe some more love since I felt like they were missing something super small. The horseradish sauce that comes with the okra did take the okra to another level in relation to taste, so truly no complaints. I was disappointed in the hush puppies since I like sweeter hush puppies, and I asked the young lady at the register were they sweet and she said, "Yes, kind of." Nothing sweet about them; the taste wasn't bad and they were good, yet not the taste I wanted or expected. Nothing against them. I ate the banana pudding when we got home and it was good, yet almost too sweet! I messed around and looked at the caloric count and let me tell you, DON'T if you're counting calories and working on your weight lol! Not bad. 7/10. Everyone ate their food and my mom loved her ribs so much, she bought two individual ribs to go. Minus the high chairs being filthy, the place was clean, real southern and BBQ like decor and layout. Everything I expected for a BBQ place anywhere in the south lol Oh lastly, the price was unbelievably affordable! I spent a total of $35 for all this food WITH taxes! I will be going back! 8.5/10

We entered and at first I was concerned because there were only two people in the restaurant. We ordered and received our food quickly and from the first bite of brisket I was hooked!!! We had the collards, mac & cheese, baked beans and Brunswick Stew. I was not happy with the Brunswick Stew but I'm hard to please on that item. I haven't had good batch in years. The people that know how to prepare it properly don't work in restaurants. Was charged $1 for two extra slices of bread. Uhhhhh really...it's bbq! Another drawback for me was the young lady working the register was pulling at the skin on her lips and I remember thinking oh lord she has her hands on her mouth, the register, the phone and everything else. I realize some people have nervous tendencies and try not to be too obnoxious when dining out but I sure miss the days of face masks and gloves. While we ate more and more people came in and when we left there was six people dining in, multiple pick up order, so it's a steady flow of people. The condiments station was neat and tidy. The restaurant itself is decorated with cute signage and quotes which lead to a relaxing environment. I grabbed a catering menu as I was leaving because everything was so delicious I have to convince my employer to treat us to bbq this summer. You can't go wrong with the strawberry lemonade.
