When you walk into a boba place like this I really didn't expect much, but they have place making you feel like your'e at home. It's decorated for halloween right now and they have their signature mugs everywhere. Your drink comes in a glass bottle, which usually comes with a cute little panda design... and you get to keep it! What's different about this place? they try to as close as the real thing as possible. AKA most of their drinks made are actually fresh and not powder or preservative flavors. And all of their drinks are made with all fresh fruits! No syrups or anything. Makes the drinks more tasty! My favorite drink was their heavenly kiss. And my 2nd favorite would be the cast away. That atmosphere is different, but I feel is wasted because one can't really enjoy looking at everything because it's so cramped and there really isn't much room to sit and enjoy your drink.... take that back. I was slightly let down with this location. Ok love fruity drinks, but the bottles are too small for everything it contains. I finished the tea before being able to scrape up any of the fruit bits. On top of that, the tea doesn't really taste like tea. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. However, I asked the cashier a question about one of the drinks, and he seemed unsure. So at that point I ordered based off what seemed appealing to me. The location has little to no standing room, so it's best to grab your drink and leave. read more

I've been to numerous places for boba and I'm pretty selective when it comes to the quality of Milk Tea drinks. Roasting Water has one of the best Milk Tea flavors out there, not to mention their super adorable, creative designs keeps me coming back regularly. So if you're like me, a fan of RW's taste and designs, you'll be very disappointed in their recent release. This version is plastic with the words, "My Bottle" written in yellow. Having a screw cap is great for multi-functional purposes. However, the design on the bottle looks amateurish and the infamous "RW" logo is nowhere to be found. As a loyal consumer, I hope RW delivers more appealing designs in the near future to maintain their uniqueness in a world full of boba/juices/tea hotspots. read more

I am not one to leave a negative review about a place of business. I am a frequent customer of this particular roasting water, as I work nearby. More often than not, they don't have some sort ingredient for my drink, or boba. That's what I go for! The place is absolutely filthy, and they throw their dirty rags in with the drink lids. Foul! They are far understaffed for the constant business they have. I usually don't get out of there under 30-45 minutes on the weekend. And let me tell you, it's not worth it. I love this store location! They staff are always nice & informative. I was asking about all the tea Steepers and collectible cups I could purchase! I haven't been here in a while so I tried the SWAG one n for some reason I actually liked the second drink I got which was one of the employees favorite. It was the Guava one & he suggested to get herbal tea instead of the usual Green Tea I get. I honestly liked his suggestion than the drink I originally got so thank you for my new drink idea every time I go there!! You might read this review and think I may be too critical. That could be true, but I have just had many great boba options over the years and have had the opportunity to try places all over California as far as the Bay Area. With that being said, I think RW is just okay. It isn't too special, I like the bottle they give out, but it sadly doesn't come to mind when I think of a nice bubble tea after a meal. With options like Tisane, Tastea, & 7 Leaves on the same street, RW doesn't stand a chance. I haven't been to this location in at least 4 years but I have been to others. The quality of the teas is the same at all of them. Although the milkteas here aren't your worst because they beat R&B, Sippin, and other places around Asian Garden Mall, they aren't the best either. Most of the teas here are quite watery, but not in a milky way like how Boba Guys does it. If you do go here, the smoothies and fruit teas are your best bet, and the bottles are nice. Service at Garden Grove, Westminster, and Huntington Beach locations are typically slow with only 1-2 people running the store at a time. read more

Alright guys, I've been here before and loved it but my hubbs bought a cast away smoothie for me tonight on our way home and I swear the pineapple was rotten. The coconut part was so yummy and I drank half until I got a really gross tasting piece of pineapple and I spit it out, nothing looked wrong with it but it smelled rotten and ugh I feel like that taste will never get out of my mouth. While getting your refreshing drinks you get a nice glass bottle with cool designs and drawings on the bottle. This place is definitely hard to find, but once you know where it is, you will always be coming back. There are about 6 seats in the store and the store is very small. A simple drop in, order, and pick up. I got there and the workers were very chill and welcoming, not something you see at other boba stores. I got the strawberry kiss and I got boba and Pom Poms. I love this place because they give you two add ones for free! I was definitely surprised by drink because it was not super sweet and sugary and tastes more natural than other places. They also have a promotion for a free food item with every order and I got the chicken baguette. The bread was a little hard but the chicken was savory. It is a 3 inch baguette sandwich, but what can you expect when it's free? Overall, good place to go to for boba! It just needs more parking and more seating! read more

I'd def order again. I also tried the frozen sunrise which was fresh and fruity. Boba texture is chewy and not soggy, but pom pom topping is my fave. My only advice to the business owner would be to expand your menu! I understand if you want to condense and specialize, but these Asian folks love their options. Lol. I suggest expanding your milk tea menu (to include caramel milk tea, jasmine milk tea, coconut milk tea, etc) and your toppings (to include rainbow jelly, lychee, etc.). Their promos they post on instagram and facebook is such a steal! It can range from $1 green tea with 2 free add-ons to $1 ice cream sandwiches! I've been going here for the past few months and love their drinks and food! Their customer service is also fantastic! The drink I ordered tasted funny and they didn't hesitate to make me a new one! I also have a friend who drives all the way from Irvine spectrum to order her green milk tea from this location which shows how great the drinks taste here! Being a boba/tea fanatic, I'd have to say it's very rare for me to rate a boba place so high. That being said...: Taste: Boba milk teas are pretty standard everywhere you go, but RW does something very unique to the flavor of the tea. It's hard to describe, but it's different... Kind of has a delicious aromatic organic taste to it and I absolutely love it. -also standard for boba shops to have pretty sweet teas, but I think the sweetness level at RW sits at a nice medium. Fruit teas: I tried their Red Dawn tea( blood orange with blueberry), and this is a very refreshing summer drink. The flavors blend so well together, and it looks elegant in their new bottles as well. ALSO! Unlike other places, their drinks don't taste syrup-y at all, it tastes like a pleasant blend of fruits that mix really well together. Boba: Not too firm, has a bounce-back texture, definitely not too soft like jello either. Texture of boba is perfect, and it's not too sweet either. Decor: Space is cramped, especially with a crowd. Interior design however, is very nicely done and fits the theme of the store. It's inbetween a rustic and an asian anime theme with the cups on the wall. I think if they went more into rustic decor and expand the space, it'd look even nicer! Price: $3.50 for their milk teas. $4.50 for their fruit teas. Two toppings are free/included. I think the price is definitely worth it for their milk teas, and even if their fruity drinks are pricier, they'd be worth it on hot days! The glass bottle it comes with are amazing, with custom labels and a cork! The ice makes the drink really cold when given in their signature bottle too. Overall!! Other than the cramped space and slightly long wait time, it's well worth it for their milk teas! Their signature bottle gives a unique, cutesy theme to their drinks. I'd give this place a 3.5 for its creativity to their ambience. Whenever I stop buy to buy some drinks. It's more of a 50/50 chance I receive a good tasting drink. The lemonade they sell don't disappoint me. However, some of their blended drinks taste a bit watery. (midsummers night, I believe). I have yet to try more of their drinks! As for customer service. They are not really enthusiastic whenever I or other people walk through the door. Seems as if they all don't get along with each other or are not in a good mood. This isn't my first time to roasting water but it's the first time to this location and, unfortunately, had a bad experience. The cashier taking our order was not even paying attention to us. She was literally facing at her coworker talking to another customer and we had to repeat our order. When we repeated our order the 2nd time, the cashier immediately repeated each of our drinks as we were repeating it. Then when we finished, she repeated the order but one of the item was incorrect! It was a totally different drink. After we repeated our order a 3rd time, she repeated the order but had the incorrect add-ons for each drink! So already we were a little irritated to have to repeat our order 3 times before the cashier got part of it right. When the drinks came out, my drink - the pitaya - was sticky since it seems like they got honey on the outside. To add onto the frustration, the blueberries, bananas, and granola was on the bottom while the boba and lychee jelly was floating at the very top as if they forgot about it and added it last minute. The Roasting Water in Garden Grove had everything at the bottom so I had a good amount of everything in each sip. This location gave me so little boba (since it was an afterthought for them) that I literally finished the boba before I reached half the drink. Honestly, roasting water's drink itself was not bad - I really liked it (specifically the pitaya). However, I don't think I will be returning to the Westminster location even though I lived 5 minutes away. I will make the drive to the Garden Grove location for the better service. read more

First time coming to the shop. First thing I saw was a guy peeing in the dark outside the shop near the parking space. The sign was missing 'roastin' so it was just G Water. Theres was a line but it wasn't long. The cashier forgot to give the customer in front of us his change. The shop was cutely decorated with all the mugs on the wall but it was very small. Luckily, both my sister and I got seats when we waited. At first I though the nutrition fact label was paper but it's printed onto the bottle which is a plus for me. - The thermos is pretty small but its cuteness makes up for it.
