I recently had solar panels installed at my home. It was overwhelming to start off and there are so many companies. I got a lot of quotes from pushy salesmen but Robco was so easy. They did everything over the phone and sent a full estimate with all the details. Rok was my salesperson and he was very easy to talk to. I decided to go with Robco because they are a local company and have been around for over 20 years. On the day of install the project foreman Ricardo Acevedo came and introduced himself and explained the estimated time and how the project would go. He was very transparent and friendly. The team would start at 730am which was early but this was December so they did not have much daylight time to work with. The whole thing took 3 days and I was super happy with the work. Once the net metering was confirmed, Rok came back to go over the app and collect the final payment. He was very accessible throughout the project and even after the whole thing was done. Robco was definitely the better value of the other companies I compared before the project. Price was not the cheapest but I feel very happy with the price I paid knowing that I got good quality from a local company. I recently had Robco install solar at my house. Overall very satisfied with their work! I would recommend one to consider Robco for solar install. I had received several solar installer bids and by far Robco was the most qualified. The representative was knowledgeable and acted more as a consultant than a pushy sales person. Robco also does commercial work and it shows in their professionalism and the quality of their work. From explaining the overall solar process of correctly sizing the solar system, using quality components, documentation such as detailed installation plans, explaining the IRA federal tax credit, and taking care of all the city permitting. I only had to manage my HOA as far as notification. Robco bid amount was in the middle and reasonable. The lowest bidder proposal quality was not as through as Robco's. I had a much better feeling that Robco would deliver. After all its a big investment. My solar system is up an running and very happy with the results! Wow! I can't say enough about Robco. After meeting with many companies and getting many quotes, we decided to go with Robco for our Solar. They were prompt and answered any questions we had before we even signed our contract. After the contract was signed, they didn't "disappear" and leave things to the installers like so many other companies do. Chelsey was there every step of the way from signing the contract, to roof inspections, power box inspections, and solar install. She kept us informed constantly. The installers were amazing! They were on time every morning at 7am, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves daily. After install, I was called again by Robco for a tentative inspection. The gentleman checked the grounds to make sure everything looked good, checked the roof for any broken tiles, and checked the upgraded power box just to be sure it was all ready for NVEnergy to inspect. WOW..... that pretty much sums up my experience. From initial consultation to PTO, the entire team at Robco is nothing short of OUTSTANDING! Adam B. was my main point of contact and guided me through the process. My work schedule is a bit unpredictable, but he worked with me and addressed all of my questions and concerns along the way. He is a true asset to Robco. Carlos lead the installation team. I can't say enough good things about the quality of work he and his crew did. All I can say is that I was beyond pleased. They even took care of a few minor cosmetic things on the exterior of our home that had nothing to do with the task at hand. Truly amazing. The worst part about the process was waiting for county inspection and PTO. Robco has no control over that, but the timeline they provided was pretty much spot on. Contract signing was early Aug 2023, installation was mid Oct, and inspection was completed in early Nov. I received PTO from NV Energy last week (late Nov 2023). The best advice I can give anyone is do your homework and get multiple bids. Know exactly what you want and compare it to what their proposals include. Ask hard questions (that you already know the answer to) to see how they respond. If you sense BS or they are being vague, run away as fast as you can. However, I guarantee that won't be the case with Robco. They won't play games just to get the sale. They are straight shooters who install a high quality product with great care for your home at a competitive price. To sum things up.... If you're in the market for solar, definitely give Robco a call. Even if it's just in the back of your mind and are simply considering it, it's still worth the call. We selected a couple of businesses for quotes for solar. We chose Robco Electric for a few reasons. Steven Araneta was our sales rep and he did an outstanding job explaining how the solar works with net metering etc. From start to finish Steven always made himself available, he was punctual, personable and professional. When you are comparing companies you should ask how many watts you are getting per panel, & it's nice to know which country is producing your panels. Another question to ask if they provide pigeon proofing. Robco will happily inform you of what they use. In their proposal they state everything you possibly would want to know....before you have to ask. They have a nice aesthetic looking pigeon proofing buildt in that looks like part of the unit. They do not use the chicken wire other companies use. Robco is an electric company which is great. Another plus is the people that install the panels are their own employees, they do not contract out. Robco makes themselves available to you from the beginning throughout the process. I just had solar installed by Robco on another house I own. Krystal was great at communicating and keeping me updated on pricing, new equipment (my old panels on my mom's house were installed 5 years ago now and still going strong) and even offering me information on rebates that came up from LG, who makes the panels we got installed. Pigeon proofing is now included in the pricing instead of an add-on and if you don't have it, make sure you get it or they WILL nest under your panels and create a mess. I haven't gotten my first solar bill from NV Energy but the net metering process is much more streamlined and user friendly than it was back in the old days. I'll update their review as well. The crew that came was Rok's crew and they worked hard all day and got the entire system installed and connected in one day. 20 panels, microinverters and an Envoy all installed and wired up. I had a SunPower solar system installed by another dealer and they refused to install consumption CTs because the panel "didn't support it", saying it was costly to spend thousands to upgrade the panel, suggesting third party solutions - anything and everything to get out of doing the work. I contacted Robco after finding a Reddit posting of other customers who had the plastic around their Homeline breaker panel bus bar removed to allow for the installation of CTs. Brittany was my main contact and she organized everything and got the wheels in motion! Install day I was not able to be home and Jacy sent photos of the work he did, I could not be happier! Robco installed our solar system about six months ago, and we have been thrilled to have it. Our monthly bills with NV Energy were reduced from $800 in our highest month down to $13.58!! Thank you Robco!! So now it's six months later I noticed while on our Enphase Enlighten App which I use to monitor our usage and production, that our system has a problem and it says we are 98% dependent on "the grid". So I contact Enphase who makes the inverters, and find out we have 19 inverters down! Yikes! So now I contact Robco. (One a side note...I'm not sure why Enphase didn't notify us about this problem, but that's another review). Reached out to Robco on the 13th, and Brittany, whom I believe is the service manager, contacted me on the 15th, to advise she would have technicians at my home on the 16th. I gotta tell ya...Ms. Brittany proved herself to be a wonderful asset both to the company and the customers. She is responsive, detailed, and oh so communicative! He gave me pricing, explained how it would work and everything I needed to know. He then stepped back and let me do my own homework. I called every company in Vegas. There was something that went wrong, which is how a good company is judged. They came out the same day to address it and fixed it. I was told up front that NV Energy would be the longest wait and it was almost exactly as long as Jorge predicted. These guys are terrible. They over promise and under deliver. If there was a way to give zero stars I would. Not only did they take over a YEAR to finish a simple electric problem, they stole our ladders (which to be fair they replaced) and it took several years to get a legend so we would know which circuit went to which outlet. The funny thing is is that the manager, Kyle took full responsibility for all of the screw ups and delays saying that he "really dropped the ball on this one!" When they finally (after a year) said they finished, they didn't do the original thing we hired them for and said it would be another $9k on top of the $16k they were charging us. When I tried to negotiate a discount for the terrible service, they pretty much told me to F off. Then when I refused to pay without a discount, they put a lien on my business and a lien on my landlord. Seems their business model is to over promise, under deliver, try to get more money from the customer and when they won't pay just put a lien on the business and the property. Do yourself and your business a favor and choose another electric company. These guys suck! One more thing... this is the first time I've posted a bad review for anyone... stay away! read more

I started my research August 2022. We had three solar companies gave us quotes. We decided to use Robco because of local operate for over decades and in house installation team. Very important to know if there is anything wrong. They will be there for you. Adam was great communication the whole process from start. Contact was signed after Labor Day weekend(first week of September). Unfortunately Robco was super busy. My installation date schedule to be a week before Christmas (10 weeks) also because we wanted to use different brand of panels Robco provided (REC Alpha) Fast forward to installing day took time off from work make sure everything ok. On the day of installation 8am. Adam texted me they can't come in because a crew member was sick. Have to cancel to next day with different team. I was a bit upset waited for 10 weeks took time off and they were not able to install. Alright things happened. Next day Adam told me again they had to cancel again because they were back up from other jobs. I was really frustrated and felt unacceptable. I called them and told how I felt. Then agreed to send another team to start the process but will be late afternoon. They finished the job 1.5 day. The team Forman (Bryson) kept me update I was at work. They cleaned up after the work area. Next day another crew came checked make sure everything ok. I told him about 1 panel not producing as much like the rest. He also agree no shading or big tree blocking. But after back and forth for a week they said there is a roof vent pipe stand next to that panel. It causes a shade during morning sun. Adam told me during summer sun will improve because the angle of the sun well now May it is not improving still produce 400 to 500 Wh less than the rest of panels. It is like a V8 engine car running only 7.5 cylinders. I know it's not much 500Wh a day but add up thought the years. Well I guess they not able to do anything about it. But they should have known the vent pipe there and not put a panel there?! Or they were too busy to care or hopefully I won't notice?! Frustrated installation schedule, one panel SHOULD not be installed next to roof vent pipe. Yes my energy bill only $13 connections fee from NV energy. Love the pigeon guards included NO other solar have this kind of pigeon guard. Great communication from Adam. However I felt shorted changed from the solar producing. We chose RobCo Solar and worked with Rok Dominko. After reading dozens of BBB reviews from several solar companies, we consulted with 3 different providers. We got quotes, some higher and some a bit lower. Understand this; price is not the only factor when choosing solar. Quality, reputation, service after the sale, and longevity in the business, make a big difference also. When getting solar quotes, make certain they are quoting the same equipment. Microinverters are the soul of a solar system. Try to get the best you can afford. It matters. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the various types. Expensive does not mean better. We purchased top of the line equipment. The staff who installed our system are actual employees, not sub-contracted. They were prompt, polite, friendly, and most of all, efficient. It was obvious these guys were professionals and really knew what they were doing. More importantly, they didn't destroy my roof when installing the panels, as I experienced from another company, "Quality First Home Improvement", previously used in California, who did; costing me thousands in water, HVAC, fence, and tile damage. They did not honor their warranty or service. It took RobCo 3 days to install our system, being mindful of their presence and local impact. They were neat, and kept the area cleaned up. Robco kept me informed and up to date on every stage. This Enphase system is producing as expected with (34) 425 watt Silfab panels, and 34 Enphase IQ8A microinverters. With 2 pool pumps, 2 HVAC units a battery charger, and a nearly 3600 sq. ft. 2 story home, our energy needs are considerable. We purchased as much solar power as NV Energy will permit without getting special exemptions. While they do offer special financing and maybe even leasing, we chose to pay cash instead. As a prior solar owner, before moving to Vegas, my power bills were but $11.00 pr month, with an annual true-up of around $1000.00. That amounts to around $94.00 a month. The previous owners of my home hired Robco to install solar, and years later I'm grateful for their choice. I had some issues early on (the inspector disconnected my system, which I didn't know for months, transfer of warranty by manufacturer Enphase wasn't successful, etc.) and thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Robco (Brittany Partain in particular, who went above and beyond for me more than once) everything seems to be resolved now.
