Always quick service and tasty food. Can never go wrong with this place. They are open early and the staff here is very friendly. Cali burrito and beef tacos are my go to here, their horchatas come bottled and delicious when you add espresso in it. They also have a salsa bar that is always full and clean.

Couldn't figure out what I wanted for dinner and stumbled upon this place online. Ordered the torta for some reason and HOLY CRAP. It weighed as much as a newborn baby! Al pastor was good, better with the salsa added in but everything tasted fresh! Somehow was able to eat the whole thing. Definitely recommend!

Had breakfast here with hubs after church. Restaurant is located near IHOP and Coldstone Creamery and was moderately busy as we arrived. They featured a variety of sports channels and had a bar where you could sit and watch said channels and enjoy an adult beverage. We walked in and ordered our food with the cashier and within 10 minutes our food was delivered to our table. I ordered chorizo and egg scramble with side of potatoes, refried beans and corn tortillas. Food was quite hot and all tasted great. Beans were quite good, creamy and fresh tasting. Good ratio of chorizo to egg scramble and plenty leftover to take home. Hubs had the steak and egg breakfast burrito and said it was absolutely delicious. We will be back!

A new favorite place to go to for mexican food. Been here three times now with the food tasting great every time. Carnitas tacos, California burrito and rolled tacos taste as you'd expect and want. The 7 sea soup is something I wouldn't normally get but was delicious. Their salsa always taste fresh and have good flavor and variety. The workers are also very nice. Will be returning soon to try more dishes. Easy parking and very chill spot to grab a bite.

I will say the tacos here were pretty good. It is hard to believe just how expensive tacos now are in San Diego in general. Tacos used to be a cheap dinner/snack. I got the potato taco and it was filled well with the mashed potatoes and the flavor was delicious. Loved the crunchy shell. Service was fast and efficient as well as friendly. Nice little taco shop and I finally went there. I'd go back.

Not a bad spot for Mexican food. Would've liked the cheese on the rolled tacos to be more melted though. The carnitas burrito was juicy and not too dry. They have a salsa bar too which is aways helpful. I'd definitely come back to try other items. If you want to dine in, they have several tables and a bar where you can watch the game. Parking is plenty!

Friendly manager, but mid burrito and salsas. Surf turf burrito was really boring. The carne asada is pretty low grade meat. Salsas watery.

2 pm on a Wednesday, and it's standing room only. Is it a sit-down restaurant or a beer sports bar, I don't know, you decide. 3 sports TVs for 400 square feet. Meat, for me, was a bit dry. Needed seasonings.

California Burrito Combo and Taco Salad. Simple and delicious

Cali Burrito is a 7.8. Smaller than I usually get. Meat was cooked well and the portion to fries are on the spot. Fries were crispy nicely done. Sauce Salsa and Chips are good. Chipotle sauce was good too.

I was refused service at this restaurant for having a service animal, even though my dog was fully enclosed in a secured stroller with the top closed. This is a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). When I informed the owner of the law, he openly stated that he "didn't care" and claimed he has been doing this for 30 years. That level of disregard for federal law and customer rights is unacceptable. This was not just poor customer service -- it was discriminatory behavior. I strongly encourage others to be aware of their rights and hope the owner takes accountability and educates himself on ADA compliance moving forward.

Was at ikea and needed lunch so we stopped here for a quick meal. The restaurant was a sit down casual order at the counter type place and had seating outside for our dog- so that was plus for sure! We ordered asada nachos for the gluten free hubby, signature burrito for me and the surf and turf burrito for the son. Service was fairly quick and when we received the food we dug right in. My burrito had great taste , probably the best tasting burrito I had had in a while. Son also concurred that his burrito had great flavor. Both burritos were a generous size. Hubby enjoyed his nachos but didn't seem as enthused as we were. Two out of three for the win. Would come back next time we were shopping at IKEA.

This place saved us! our original plan did not work out and we landed here by luck! Delicious food! a lot of open seating; you can sit inside or outside. staff was welcoming! it felt like you were walking into your uncles house! Our group had: 1. A Bowl- i can't remember which one but it had shrimp. 2. California burrito 3. Carnitas burrito 4. Chile verde burrito! (mine) unlimited amounts of chips and salsa! BONUS!! salsa and pico were spot on delicious! it was served HOT from the grill! mine was the hottest and i had to break it apart to eat it but the flavor was spot on ! can easily say this place was very nice and i was IMPRESSED with how tasty there food was.

Decent taco shop. They give out free tortilla chips which is great. It will satisfy a Mexican food craving. It's near ikea and Costco so plenty of parking

Super dark and I mean dark, it'll take a minute for your eyes to adjust. Tapas style menu, we were a party of 4 and ordered: Squash blossom Relleno - it's the flower part of a squash plant and stuffed with mushroom duxelles which resembles a meat mixture with squash succotash. Outside is a corn tempura with a tomato base sauce. Pulpo-grilled octopus, one of the best texture and perfectly grilled skin with a chewy yet soft interior. The sauce has a slight kick and crunch from the corn nuts. Crab corn doughnut- this is their specialty and we were about to skip out but glad we didn't. The brioche bun had a donut batter with lumps of crab salad and corn mixture on top. El Festin- perfect for our party of 4 because it was a platter full of 4 Cheese quesadilla, 4 shrimp, 4 chicken slices, 1 jalapeño bacon wrap, ribeye. Flan-we should have each ordered one ourselves! Great flavors and texture, the top had ancient chocolate soil and had crispy corn nuts. Different but yummy. Overall, delicious food that came out so quick, great ambiance, we celebrated our birthdays and were each gifted candles with our names on the label. Truly amazing from beginning to end. Street parking only. The spots on the same block are metered but if you drive down to the second street towards residential, it's free.

Did as suggested, used an Uber to get there, didn't see any parking within close proximity as it is connected to the Lafayette Hotel and Club. Beautiful entry way, eyes definitely need to adjust to the darkness, lit candles everywhere; very church-like. The stained glass is beautiful. Tableware, tables, chairs somewhat Gothic. It did smell like candlewax, a bit overwhelming. Being able to see the open kitchen, was hoping to smell amazing dishes being prepared instead. I went by the reviews I read earlier, so we chose the Pulpo, perfect to share. Charred perfectly, tender on the inside on a spread of molè and bits of corn nuts, fabulous! Great presentation! Also tried the lentil spread, filling and plenty to share once again, tangy and spicy; our favorite appetizer. For a dish we shared the Chamoy bbq ribs, fell right off the bone; a tad salty. Corn ribs were tasty, wish they were fresh, a tad mushy and too salty. The pineapple Pico was just okay. We also ordered a passion fruit margarita and a Motomami, both were wonderful! Service was great, we were checked on often but then again it was a Thursday early evening and not busy yet. I would like to visit again and try other suggested dishes, when in town.

California Burritos is very apt for their name, my bf rates it a 10/10. As a California Burrito connoisseur, he liked the addition of sour cream in it and said the flavors were delicious. He topped it with their green salsa for a little bit of a freshness to cut through the richness and fattiness of the meat and fries in the burrito. He didn't care for the fish taco that much and rated it a 4/10 but said the restaurant overall was a 10/10, as he thought there was too much lettuce and tomato throwing off the ratio of the taco.
