Was last at Roberto's just after covid and dined outside, it was very pleasant, food was great, couldn't wait to go back. Got the chance yesterday. I don't consume garlic which can be difficult at an Italian restaurant. I had an alternative choice if they couldn't service my first choice, Veal Parm. The owner came over to say "hi" which was nice. It appeared to be"touch" each table with direct communication, nice touch nowadays. Well they were so gracious and were able to make an alternative tomato sauce that was delicious. We were early enough that it was neither noisy nor crammed. Service staff is wonderful. Manners(remember those days when teens had manners), friendly, checking back to make sure everything was good, tended water glasses. We received an initial salad with home made dressing 2 choices I tried the balsamic, tasty with not too heavy on the balsamic. I can't wait to go back, we all were able to take left overs, just enough to have a taste again today. The real semolina bread, delish. Arrive early and they only seat you when the whole party is there. Good idea at a popular shore restaurant. It's a BYOB I believe, they do serve wine, don't drink so didn't see the list. read more

This is another spot I'm surprised I haven't reviewed yet. This is one of our top two favorite dinner spots on LBI. We have to come here every time we are here! Robert is an amazing chef and host, always checking on diners and pitching in to help the servers when they're short staffed. Everything I've eaten here is fantastic. I do tend to lean toward pastas with seafood, while my husband tends to order chicken or veal dishes. These come with a side dish of pasta with marinara. We are always satisfied with our meals and always have leftovers to take home. All meals come with a small salad and bread with oil with fresh garlic included. You can always add a protein to the pasta, even if it doesn't show on the menu. It's BYOB, so bring your favorite wine and enjoy your dinner!! And leave room for dessert, they always have great choices, and have coffee and cappuccino (including decaf cappuccino!!) as well. read more

Best pork chops I've ever eaten and the staff is extremely friendly, it's white glove service and great food, with reasonable prices

We go to Roberto's a few times a year, and the food and service are always great. Yesterday, we went for Easter and it was fabulous! Always greeted with a smile. The waiter and staff were awesome and the food was delicious. Ricardo salad is so good, Chicken parm is fantastic. We tried the burrata special appetizer and it was amazing! We were too full for dessert but I wish we had ordered the homemade cheesecake. Definitely can't wait to go back again read more

Fantastic, authentic Italian food in a family-owned operation. Wear stretchy clothing because you will leave full (and with leftovers).

Ambiance - Interior feels very homey. Personal preference, it's not my taste but it's nice and well kept and always cool on hot days. Service - lovely! Welcomed by amazingly friendly hosts and servers that make you feel like family. Food - Pasta Roberto is a can't miss. A staple and a classic that is satisfying, filling, and full of flavor. Pesto Pasta can be skipped according to our group member who said it lacked flavor. We must've had an off night for the Bolognese which is usually our fan favorite. Hot bread and garlicky oil to start the night was lovely. And the included side salads are a nice way to break up the wait for entrees. Would love to return to try more of the menu. read more

One of the nicer restaurants on that side of LBI with outstanding service and excellent food. I had the seafood salad for starters and while it was very good, it was not a top 10 for me of that dish. Maybe too much garlic and not enough of the other seasonings. But it was very fresh. For my main course I had the double cut pork chop Juliana and it was an outstanding dish and I have had pork chops in many places. read more

Yum yum yum! I was craving a good Italian meal while visiting LBI and Roberto's did not disappoint. We ordered takeout and the process was quick and easy. When we went to pick up the food it was piping hot and you could tell that it had just been made. The pesto was creamy and the portion sizes were very large. They had a large menu where you could mix and match different styles of pasta and sauces. So, if you wanted linguine with pesto, vodka sauce, bolognese...etc. the option was yours! This dish was 2 meals and I probably could have stretched it to be 3 meals. The menu had a lot of Italian classics that can meet a whole family's needs and each meal came with a house salad. If you are ever on Long Beach Island and looking for an Italian meal I would recommend Roberto's. The food lived up to the hype and then some! read more

Love this place, the apps we had were exceptional, calamari, fried mozzarella, beet salad ( one of the best on the Island). We had a party of 4 , ordered various meals , stuffed shrimp special w linguine, veal Marsala, pasta with shrimp and chicken and pasta with pink sauce. Everything was delicious, prepared perfectly, and exceptional taste. Sauces were not overwhelming ( not too much - just the right amount per dish). Robertos is a regular trusted place to eat on our vacation each summer. The salads and bread were great, chicken parm was perfect, chicken special with balsamic glaze was flavorful. the chicken buccatini with balsamic glaze was good, but unusual. We love this place and will return! read more

My beau and I recently found this wonderful slice of heaven on LBI. Great food, prices are very reasonable and of course it's BYOB, which is fabulous on my wallet. Took my daughter and her boyfriend here last night, as it's his birthday. Our waitress, Carly, was simply fantastic. She was knowledgable, engaged and made our evening that much better. She has served me on prior visits. I would ask for her if you go to Roberto's. Also, Kathy who is the General Manager or owner, not sure but she is fabulous as well. We've been coming to LBI for many, many years and Roberto's is always a given that you'll get a great meal. Don't know why people complain that it takes so long for the meal. Ummmm, it's made to order so you're getting a fresh meal. It's always and I mean ALWAYS a great meal. Mozzarella en Carrozza was delicious as was the calamari for starters. Gamberi Francese was excellent as was all the other dishes. We were a party of 11. We had one vegetarian in the party and our waiter who btw was absolutely on his game went back to talk to the chef what he can make for the vegetarian in our group. She was quite happy with the selection as well. Remember it's a BYO but they partner up with the local Sharrott winery so you can purchase wine from them here at the restaurant. The ignorant jerk that runs this place needs to keep his BIG mouth shut. A 90 year old woman ( local year round LBI resident) made reservations for 3 well in advance but at very last minute one person could not attend. So owner/ jerk - ignoramous makes a public scene and threatens to charge a 90 year old woman 10 dollars because one person got sick (65 year old woman passing a kidney stone) and could not come at last minute, and 90 year old woman had the audacity..... not to call this bum and change her reservation to two. Moaned about how he is losing money because of this. Upset the 90 year old woman. We did not leave immediatly because the 90 year woman is blind in one eye and has some problems getting around. This bum is an insensitive idiot and although the food and service was good, never EVER going back. read more

We have gone to Roberto's numerous times and always had a wonderful dinner and great service. I ordered three trays from the catering for a party which were extremely disappointing. The Eggplant Parm was burnt, the Penne Vodka was extremely dry and the Chicken Francese tasted like dried up chicken that was in a sauce that was not a Francese sauce. For $300, I should have gone elsewhere. It really was gross. What a disaapointment. read more

Great italian, on the finer side of dining in LBI. Always on the list to go at least once a Summer. It is always a special night out, with great food, BYOB, wonderful service and attention to detail. Prices are done so very fairly, making it approachable and you feel like you are getting value. This is a great Italian restaurant on LBI. The food is delicious and service was attentive. The only complaint I have is that each time I have come here for an early dinner my party of 2 has been seated right next to other patrons even though the restaurant was empty for early dining. This distracts from our relaxing dining experience as there is no privacy or reason for sitting people right next to each other when the rest of the restaurant is empty. Even when reservations are made it is not taken into account that patrons would prefer to dine with some space between tables when the restaurant is nearly empty. Upon leaving, the restaurant was as sparsely occupied as when we arrived. This needs to be considered especially when prices have gone up and there is still concern about covid. I don't know why this hasn't been taken into consideration but otherwise a very pleasant experience. read more
