We always make sure we get to eat at Roberto's when we visit LBI. Once again all our meals were delicious. Our server (wish I could remember her name) was fantastic. Each course is served in a timely manner and we never feel rushed. The owner made sure to stop at each table to thank everyone and to be sure we enjoyed our meal. This is a great Italian restaurant on LBI. The food is delicious and service was attentive. The only complaint I have is that each time I have come here for an early dinner my party of 2 has been seated right next to other patrons even though the restaurant was empty for early dining. This distracts from our relaxing dining experience as there is no privacy or reason for sitting people right next to each other when the rest of the restaurant is empty. Even when reservations are made it is not taken into account that patrons would prefer to dine with some space between tables when the restaurant is nearly empty. Upon leaving, the restaurant was as sparsely occupied as when we arrived. This needs to be considered especially when prices have gone up and there is still concern about covid. I don't know why this hasn't been taken into consideration but otherwise a very pleasant experience. read more

My family and my I had the pleasure of visiting Roberto's this past Sunday night,they were very accommodating for our party of nine that was running a few minutes late. The atmosphere was magnificent and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious. There were many choices of great dishes. The fried calamari was so light and fresh. Last experience at Roberto's was amazing! You have to stop by! My friends and I biked to the restaurant and afterwards it started raining and the owner DROVE OUR BIKES BACK TO OUR HOUSE FOR US! I have been coming to Lbi for 24 years and this was my first visit to Robertos. Friends have told me this is their favorite restaurant on the island. Now I can say the same. We were a party of 6. From the minute we entered to leaving the experience was excellent. Friendly service, Roberto was their and came over to chat, introduce himself. He is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The food was amazing. Two of us had the veal saltimbocca. The veal was so tender and delicious. Another friend had the special fish which was an orange roughy. She also said it was delicious. My husband and I had a lovely evening out at roberto's. The staff was respectful and attentive. We enjoyed it being BYOB. We have spent a considerable time in north jersey and have high expectations for Italian food. However, we were disappointed in the food. The selections on their normal menu were typical of an Italian restaurant which is not a bad thing but nothing was a standout. We each had an entree from their specialty dishes and shared an appetizer off their specials. The coconut shrimp with pairing coconut and pineapple sauce sounded tasty and was hyped up my our waitress..... it was nothing to rave about. My pasta dish was undercooked and not as cheesy as I had anticipated it should have been with the stuffing described as made with ricotta and Parmesan cheeses. My husband had a seafood dish which was not seasoned well. And the sauce was too runny for our liking. In our opinion The food was subpar at best. Nonetheless, The atmosphere was lovely, we were treated very well by the staff, and enjoyed our time together. The desert was a delicious way to end our experience. Food takes way too long.. there were about 7 full tables... also they are quick to take your bread I can't tell you the amount of times the 2 waiters came over to take it.. please I would like bread with my meal, thank you.. As far as the food I had the gorgonzola salad and the dressing was a bit much and the lettuce was wilted..the entree however was amazing I had the shrimp stuffed with crab meat EXCELLENT!! On to dessert raspberry almond torte, again EXCELLENT!! So all in all service was annoying salad eh, but the main course/dessert was scrumptious! read more

We are frequent patrons of this wonderful restaurant so under these circumstances, we placed a take out order and it was absolutely great. This is a first rate restaurant. Great northern Italian cooking at very very reasonable prices. The sausages are the best I have ever had. Service is good and the whole ambiance of the dining rooms are nice but the new addition is a bit noisy. It came with a salad, which I must admit, like other reviewers have stated, was pretty lacking (basically a few lettuce leaves on a plate), but hey at least it came with a salad. There were four of us. The server was very helpful and attentive at all times. 3 of us had specials. All of the dinners were excellent. Menus prices were resort reasonable but the specials were pricy. I ordered stuffed shrimp and it was very good. I have to note that they only gave you 4 shrimp. . As usual the servers never give you the prices of the specials when they recite them. To my surprise they charged $35 for the stuffed shrimp special. Now if they had given you 6 shrimp I would say OK that is fair but to only give 4 shrimp and charge $35 is a bit excessive in my opinion. Would I go back, absolutely. read more

Incredibly accomadating restaurant! My family and I just returned from a long weekend in LBI and we are so thankful we found this restaurant. It was so busy this past weekend in LBI that every restaurant we normally go to was completely booked. We took a chance and went into this restaurant just to see if they had a table. They were also completely booked, but asked us if we would mind waiting for maybe 10 minutes while they moved some things around to help accomadate our family of (4). The entrees were really flavorful and just the perfect amount was served. Our server Kathy was very patient and too kind to my more then picky 7 year old daughter. We love this place. BYOB keeps the cost reasonable and it is a little more dressy than some of the deep fried Beach Haven tourist traps, but, not so dressy to be stuffy. The staff is always wonderful and attentive. The service is fast, but not rushed and the food is very good. Salad comes with the dinner so be careful on the appetizers. The menu looks shorter than it actually is. They give you a selection of preparation styles and they can be applied to a steak, chicken, pork chop, whatever. The atmosphere is nice. You can tell that it is a frequent small group destination. Families and groups of 6+ are there as are deuces and four-tops. The mixture of groups lets you know it is a nice place to celebrate a birthday or to have dinner and chat just between the two of you. read more

Being a group of 7, we were very appreciative that they accepted reservations with merely an hours notice on a Saturday night. The service was excellent. From the moment we walked in, our server was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. As far as the food was concerned, it wasn't bad. But perhaps not as good as everyone expected. Being a North Jersey guy, I've been to a ton of really good Italian resturants and Robertos isn't quite on that level. Great Italian restaurant! I vacationed in LBI for a week and after all the seafood we were eating, my family and I were looking for some good Italian. Roberto's had been recommended to us and we were so delighted with it that we ate there twice! It is a BYOB with prices consistent with most of the other restaurants on the island. The staff is friendly and both times we went we were sat immediately. The dishes we sampled were all delish...we had the fried calamari, shrimp puttanesa, linguine with red clam sauce, linguine with white clam sauce, pasta with shrimp, clams, mussels, and scallops, pasta pesto, and veal parm. The cappuccinos are great as are the desserts. We sampled a chocolate mouse cheesecake and the ricotta cheesecake. Highly recommend visiting Roberto's. read more
