    Navy bean soup with ham

First time here based on Yelp reviews. Greeted on arrival and invited to sit anywhere. Welcoming, friendly vibe. Menus brought to us and drink orders taken without hesitation! Great, attentive wait staff! Both my friend and I could not resist the navy bean soup and we were glad we didn't skip it!I would go back just for that! My friend ordered a chef's salad with grilled chicken and I went with the Reuben. Food all delicious. Sandwich hot and juicy, salad fresh, cold and crispy. I took half of my food home for dinner! Please, try this little gem.

This is a small restaurant that is open from 6 am to 3 pm, serving breakfast and lunch only. It's in a business plaza and once the parking out front is filled, you have to look around for additional spots, but they are available. It's a busy place with about 3 waitresses, who are kept moving. But from the time you enter and are greeted with "pick a table anywhere" service is friendly, if sometimes a bit slow. They have very few desserts. The rice pudding, which is mediocre, is made there. The pies are bought frozen and baked there. The chocolate cake is Sara Lee. Skip the desserts and focus on the food, mostly made from scratch and served in large portions (averaging about $20 for a lunch entree and another $5.95 to include a soup, beverage, and dessert). Meals are not cheap but well worth the price. We had the beef tips with noodles and the chopped sirloin steak. Both were quite good. And the chopped steak brought back memories of a favorite restaurant on Long Island that served it just right. It's perfect, here, too. The house-made cornbread is scrumptious with any meal. I will be back to try breakfast, maybe. Because the lunch menu has a lot of homecooked items that are calling my name. Lunch for 2, with tax and tip, was $53 and we brought home enough leftovers for a light dinner.

I had a really good experience here. My family and I took a red eye from San Francisco. We landed before 7 AM. After a quick search on Yelp we decided to take a Lyft to Robert's Restaurant. Being so close to FLL, the wait staff saw our luggage and knew the drill. Our server put us at a table with ample space to temporarily store our luggage. Service was top notch. I had the French Toast Club Specialty and that was delicious. I definitely will be back the next time I am in the area.

My companion & I decided that we should treat ourselves to a wonderful breakfast early in the morning. We are enjoy today, watching the sunrise & drinking a fine cup of Joe.

When I travel I always look for restaurants that the locals go to, a local dive. Well, I found a gem! As I walked in the place I could feel the local vide! We were greeted and seated right away by a friendly lady names Debbie. If it is crowed, look at the counter for a couple of seats. I stated off with a Hot Chocolate, it was soooo good! Whipped Cream and Chocolate drizzled on top! I ordered one of the specials, Eggs Benedict with Home Fries with grilled onions and American cheese. Probably the best I have had, including high end restaurants! The ham was thick and amazing, look at the pictures. Others got Chicken Fried Steak that was amazing and an English Muffin with Bacon and Cheese. All were fabulous! If you are Local, what are you waiting for, if you are visiting you must try! Enjoy!

Humble, cozy local spot for comforting breakfast or lunch. The waitresses are super friendly and kind - always filling up your coffee refills. You feel like family here! We loved the country fried steak with gravy, biscuit with butter, eggs, home style potatoes, and chocolate chip pancakes. They also have soup, loaded club sandwiches, and full thanksgiving turkey meal everyday!

The food was good. Quite good. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the 2x4. Biscuits and gravy didn't taste like Cisco brand canned gravy so I was happy. The 2x4 came out quickly, accurately, and tasty. The service was mediocre. The girl that took our order had to be asked for refills. Seemed.... Grumpy. All in all - for 40$ it could have been better.

I've been coming to Robert's for a few years now and I love that I can always rely on getting good breakfast food here. I usually get an omelet or some kind of egg dish. This time I got egg , cheese and ham with a side of hash browns. The service is a little bit of a hit or miss as this place gets packed with people. The atmosphere isn't bad it can get pretty loud as the tables are kinda crammed in. But I seem to overlook these negatives as the food is consistently good.

    Tuna Salad Hoagie

We were in the area for an appointment and decided to check it out. We weren't sure if we wanted breakfast or lunch so Robert's fits the bill. I had a tuna hoagie. It comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, provolone cheese, green peppers (which I asked to not include) and oil & vinegar (which for some reason I love). It came with chips and a pickle. The sandwich was huge and I ended up taking home 1/2 of it. The bread to tuna ratio was perfect. My husband had the Cuban sandwich. He was happy that it only had mustard & it was pressed. He was a little disappointed there were no pickles on the sandwich. He upgraded his side to steak fries for $2.50. The first time the fries came out they were not cooked through. We sent them back and got a new plate of fries. They were perfect the 2nd time. I had coffee and my husband had Diet Coke. Both beverages were kept full. The downside to Robert's is the pricing. I decided not to get breakfast because 2 eggs (which comes with a side & toast or biscuit) is $13.50 - and additional 90 cents for a bagel and an additional $2.25 for cream cheese. By the time you have the meal you want, it is almost $17 for eggs. Omelettes we're about $16. Same deal. I just couldn't. Service was super friendly. The restaurant (including the bathroom) was super clean. The tables are a bit close to each other, but that wasn't a deal breaker. We will definitely return if in the area.

I dined at Robert's on a chill Friday with my bestie and highly recommended this lovely local eatery! I had the fried shrimp special only available on Fridays and she had the turkey burger with onion rings and everything was fresh and homemade. Miss Tiffany the manager is truly a gem overshadowing any other subpar energy experienced inside. Dawn was our server and she was so attentive and warm. Both ladies are truly proud of the restaurant and are loyal employees for some time. The food reheated nicely. I look forward to a future visit with family and trying more tasty dishes.

    Supposed to be medium well

I did opt for a pretzel bun instead of the normal bun, and it was very good. The cheese, the aioli, everything just came together perfectly--and I'm not usually a fan of cheese on chicken sandwiches. I'll try the normal bun next time, though. Not because it wasn't good, but just because judging by the way the flavors came together on my sandwich, these people obviously know what is best when it comes to food! I opted for the side salad instead of fries, and the salad was huge! Dressing was good as well. So of course, I went back and tried their coffee the next day, and I was equally blown away. So glad to have found my go-to coffee shop near Dania Point, because Starbucks' burnt-tasting lattes are such a disappointment. Dress light, because it was a bit warm inside, but the heat index is 105 degrees, so I can imagine their air conditioner is struggling just like the rest of us in this heat! Super disappointed with this place…read more Pros: The potatoes and eggs were good & the hot sauce has great flavor! Cons: First thing I did was use the restroom which had a horrible smell and the toilet needed cleaning. The service was good at first then fell off after we ordered our food- which was strange because it was not busy at all. We ordered the screwdriver & peach Bellini to drink. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.
