In January of 2020 they replaced power steering pump and lines . The pressure line to pump is roughly 300.00 for parts , which Ron charged. Within days the line to cooler popped off due to wrong clamp ! Belt was now squealing so he offered oil change yet charged for belt. Now system let loose and I have in another shop to find out the lines are original. a NEVER replaced the 300.00 line I was charged . Band aided it! Best I'd they never reopen read more

Brought my wife's car back to them on three different occasions for overheating problems. Each time we were told that they had the problem solved. The fourth time we had to have it towed in and after replacing more parts and sitting there an additional week, they determined that the engine was blown. They kept putting other customers in front of us, and wouldn't admit that their inability to correctly diagnose the problem lead to the engine failure. Had it towed to a different repair shop to get the engine replaced and they still charged me for the parts that they installed on to a blown engine. Before this incident They changed the oil in my other car. Yesterday I went to check my oil and found that the dip stick was missing. When I went in to ask if they had it the manager wouldn't even go in back to see if they had it there. He said "I'll tell you the same thing that I told the guy who claimed that we forgot to put the oil cap back on his crank case the other day. We don't have it!" Good companies admit their errors, stand behind their work, and make solving repeat problems a priority. This isn't one of them. read more

This place is now called Merlins. They have a sign posted outside for a 20 dollar oil change you go in then they try to hook line and sinker you for "synthetic" Oil. 70 bucks before taxes. If it costs 70 dollars to do a 5 minute oil change that would cost you 20 bucks to do it manually you know somethings wrong AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

They worked on our car twice...this was our mistake...and after the second repair told us they didn't have time to drive it before or after the first fix. It was unreal. Well I have been going here since they opened and I went to the previous owner before that. I always was very happy.until today.... I bought 4 new tires a month with the understanding that if these leaked they would fix them the same as discount tires ( which would have been a little cheaper but I wanted to give a local guy the business) ... I was very surprised today when they charged me $25 to FIX A RIM LEAK!!!!!!!!!!... The counter person was told by the manger (on the phone) to charge me... I told the poor counter guy that I could have gotten the leak fixed at discount tires free even if I hadn't bought them there.... when I got home I seen they put the fixed tire on the opposite side ( rime sealer evident on tire and rim)...is that so if it leaks they can say its not the same tire? or did they rotate for me? needless to say I am not doing business there again read more

Wish I could give negative stars!! This place tried to rip me off for over $400. Completely misdiagnosed the problem, lied about what they checked out . I inquired about specific items to see if they checked them, they said they did so I authorized the repair of what they said was the problem. Turns out the problem was one if the things they claimed they checked. Went to pick up car and it ran just as bad as when I had brought it in three days prior. Check engine light came on and barely made it home. Con artists even tried to tell me it could be another issue that would cost even more to fix. Turned out my issue was spotted by me in about 20 minutes after having it home and trying to see if they did any work at all on the engine. Part was under warranty with Auto Zone. Exchanged it and in an hour my car was fixed. Went back to shop and they basically told me nothing and later got a call that they could put my old part in and that was it. As if I'd let their incompetent mechanic touch my car. Update: Credit card company agreed that they should not have received payment and I got all my money back through Visa. He uses foul language and verbal attacks on potential customers. His guys who work for him even try to bully and intimidate on behalf of him. I would have gave a negative number if it was available. They advertise under new management, well they need to try again! We pulled in, walked in and the older gentleman sitting behind the desk acted like we were bothering him. We asked if they carried used tires, he stated "no that's not smart", when we asked what size these tires were he stated "look on the side". Everything thing we asked seemed to frustrate him. I called to see if there were any openings for an oil change. I had to leave for out of state for work by 415. The staff here is ignorant. He said he had an opening at 3:30. I was thinking out loud when I said I had to be out of town and he snapped at me it wasn't his fault that I had piss poor planning. They act like your business is an inconvenience to them. The guy actually told me to come to the shop so he can show me attitude. He hung up on me so I called back and asked for his name. I brought our van in to Roberts when I was experiencing brake problems. They replaced our front brake pads and rotors. Few months later I had to take it back because I was still experiencing grinding and a terrible screeching noise from the front brakes (I had already got in the back brakes fixed the week before). They told me the front brakes were under warranty so I brought them back in. When I walked back in the gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude to me and condescending. He pretty much rolled his eyes and chalked it all up to me parking my car outside. Even though I've been parking my car outside since I purchased it and I've only heard the screeching noise since I had the brake job done at their shop. When he relayed the message to one of his workers he left out some of what I said and said it in a really rude way. While I waited for my car to be fixed I had to listen to him swearing and being obnoxious on the phone too. Turns out they came back and said there's nothing wrong with my car, but I still have screeching all the time and I'll grinding to. I will NEVER use this place ever again! I will also make sure that I tell everyone I know to never use this place as well! Especially if you're a woman, the front worker / manager is incredibly rude. read more

Like others, if I could give a negative rating I would. Nearly three years ago my vehicle was towed to this shop because it would not start( the engine would not turn over). They diagnosed the problem as a dead battery and a non functioning alternator. They replaced both and were able to get the vehicle started. The cost of parts and labor was $646. I did not believe the battery and alternator were the issue, as the vehicle was not loosing power over time, the interior lights were bright, the headlights were bright and all accessories worked. My wife picked up the vehicle and drove home. The next morning, to our surprise, the vehicle would not start. I suspected the starter may be the at fault. I tapped it with a hammer, turned the key, the engine cranked and started. I did not return to Roberts, but did replace the starter and the vehicle has been running fine. Fast forward to today. It is two years and 361 days later. The battery installed by Roberts is dead. I jump-start the vehicle and drive to their shop. As this was a Bosch battery with a three year replacement warranty and prorated replacement thereafter, I expect to get the battery replaced at no cost. They test the battery and it is indeed dead(not holding a charge). I am told that they will give me $20.00 towards the purchase of a new battery. I tell them that this battery has a three year replacement warranty and that they should install a new battery at no charge. I am told that this battery is at the end of its life and it is prorated to a value of $20.00. Take it or leave it. I leave and go to Pep Boys where they honor the warranty and replace the dead battery with a new Bosch battery at no charge. Based upon my first encounter, I was willing to believe that the owner and employees are just inept. Based upon this last encounter, they may be smarter than I thought. I see no reason to return and throw good money after bad. read more
