They all have their own techniques but really engage with their students. Respect and discipline are very important methods they continue to teach the children as well as role modeling this. They are highly most respected by the students and by the parents. For me, I've seen my daughter grow in confidence especially with her anxiety coming back to in-person classes and now, she is learning leadership skills as she recently became a first degree black belt. Because they believe in each of their students, you see the mental and physical growth. They also make the classes so much fun and celebrate the kids during the holidays. For example, Easter hunting or dressing up in their costumes during Halloween. All of the main instructors have DECADES of experience in martial arts and this style, the senior instructors with more than 30 years of experience at this school. Grand Master Kang imbued the school with a balanced approach with traditional kicks and strikes, throws, weapons, meditation, and tai chi/chi kung for those who are interested, and this is being upheld by Masters Berry and Skidmore. Families, children, students, older students are well cared for and attended with instruction. This is not the sport TKD but very traditional, and the instructors differentiate instruction for student's physical abilities, great for folks that are new, have done martial arts in the past, looking for a change that resonates. My son is always excited to go to class and since transferring to Na has shown a new excitement and passion for martial arts. All the teachers are great and show a great deal of patience with the kids. The teachers have also done a great job ensuring every kid gets one on one attention regardless of the class size as they have many instructors at hand and pay close attention if any student needs help. Teacher Daniel is an awesome teacher and always does drills that are fun but there is usually a clever listening drill that accompanies the physical drills. All the teachers are great and are capable of running the entire class on their own. They all show a great level of expertise, excitement and confidence.
