If I had the financial means to create a cool hangout spot with delicious but quick food, coffee, and beer, I would hope to be smart enough to create a spot like Robs Zombies. There is ample parking, and it's a quick stop off highway 4. Excessive indoor seating and an outdoor patio, so you are guaranteed a table. Service is friendly, and because the zombies are kept warm they are literally IMMEDIATELY ready. The zombies are varied and fun to try- stop in on Fridays and get the special of brisket and pulled pork zombies, you will thank me later!

Dammmnmmm! Tasty!!! This was my first visit and this place was no joke! It was early, time for breakfast, but was told they had fresh pulled pork a nd brisket. I went for the pullednpork and it was delicious! The pork was jucy and oh so tasty. The bread pocket was so fresh and tasty. Loved it! And the coffee!! Wow!!! This is not Starbucks (not a fan of that chain). I drink my coffee black, so Im picky. This is not a typical coffee. Super strong, but not bitter. Sure, strong coffee but really an interesting taste. I asked, it is Columbian. I like wine and whisky tasting, tried to pick out some flavors but couldn't, no bother, it is just awsome. I might have to make this place a regular stop.

First time here. Had a Breakfast zombie and OH SO GOOD!! Will be back next time in area for sure.

We had been running errands and realized we missed the most Important meal of the day. I had not had a "zombie" in quite awhile and it seemed like a quick solution to my missed meal. Wifey had wanted to get a coffee, so we definitely marked 2 things off our lists in one full swoop. I had purchased a Ham and Cheese and wifey had ordered a Cappucino. The wait was short although the line was long. The gal at the counter was friendly and personable. Ham and Cheese Zombie hit the spot and they had a Jalapeno Popper Zombie I look forward to try it the next time we visit this establishment.

A staple of the east bay. Cheese zombies are something I grew up eating at the school cafeteria and to find them in a restaurant/bar is so satisfying. They taste just like how I remember them and even have some interesting novel flavors. Service is always quick but they can run out later in the day so make sure to come by lunch time! There is also an outdoor seating area where I have seen food trucks pop up in the evenings.

There aren't too many food options in North Concord and Rob's Zombies is a great choice. The location is spacious and there is easy parking in the lot. We ordered ham and cheese, the breakfast, and the apple pie. Unfortunately, they were out of the pups the day we went. I do recommend eating them warm! One thing to note is that my husband has ordered the breakfast zombie twice and both times the zombies were mushy. He wasn't sure if it was undercooked or if it was supposed to be that consistency. Apple pie was interesting, I'm used to flaky crusts and this was a new take. Ham & Cheese is the best and my favorite! Highly recommend!

The cappuccino spilt all over my sweater and pants. Notice the red marks on my neck....it hurt. :(

First thing first, the zombies are super yummy which is why I did 3 starts. When i went to pick up my order (which I ordered from the toast app) The lady informed me that there was no order for me. So they ran out of the pizza zombie and none of my drinks were made yet. She promptly started fixing my order and she was super nice 5 stars to her! I ordered a cappuccino, drip coffee and hot chocolate which tasted like water. No good. Annnd my cappuccino....ugh...my cappuccino....! I think she forgot to put the shot in because it was like some kinda caramel milk. That's not the worst part about my drink though. Even after she secured the lid on in THE TRAY it did not stay on. which means.. yup, you guessed it EVERYWHERE! all over my car and myself that S@#T was HOT! PLEASE get better cups and lids so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I am just glad it was my drink and not my daughter's hot chocolate. I would've been very upset. All in all skip the coffee drinks and get the yummy zombies. Oh! They have beer on tap.. I should've just got that even though it was 9am. Lol 5 o' clock somewhere? *shoulder shrug*

Great customer service and a nice variety of choices. I wish I would have tried their coffee because it also looked good!

Really hits the spot and is open EARLY. I hope the limited edition brisket never leaves the menu. Decent portions for the price.

The only one I know is this one the at I reviewed.

Do they have a website or is there somewhere I can see the menu? I saw this place on the channel 2 news this morning and would like to give it a shot

I ordered the "20" burger as was the waitresses recommendation since it had a little spice and some garlic in it. Our orders were taken in a timely manner. The waitress was nice and helpful. We waited about 15 to 20 mins for our food. We were told that there were issues with the kitchen staff, new staff being trained, etc. Honestly, she stated it was a bad day for them, so we should have been told that prior to ordering so we could have decided to go somewhere else. When the food came, my bacon was burnt (I asked for crispy, not burnt), and my French fries were cold. How does food that takes so long to find out come out cold and wrong? My wife's biscuit was together in the top and broken up on the bottom AND served on a dirty plate. We sent all the above back. He country potatoes had no seasoning on them, and the omelet looked on cooked on the egg portion. The food and cheese that was supposed to be cooked in the inside because it is an omelet was not put together as an omelet. It was like the egg just served as a blanket. She did not eat the majority of her food. This does not happen often. The biscuit was good the 2nd time. My bacon came back the same way, I ate around the burnt areas. The bacon was salty. The manager or owner (I'm unsure of who he was. He did not introduce himself) walked around asking how everything was. I was very honest. He took off 20% from the bill. We will not be going back.

If you blink, you might miss it. Service is still 10/10! This time around, I ordered a hot matcha latte, and honestly, I wasn't expecting much (let's be real, some places can mess up matcha). But surprise, surprise -- it actually tasted like real matcha! It was delicious! For my meal, I tried the cowboy scramble, which I swear was everything but the kitchen sink tossed in a pan. It was hearty, satisfying, and totally hit the spot. The only hiccup? The melted butter they used on the toast had a weird aftertaste. I can't quite explain it -- like if butter went to a weird party and came back a little off. But hey, it didn't ruin the whole meal, just a little side note. All in all, I'm into the new look, and I'll definitely be back for that legit matcha latte and hefty scramble!

I originally went out looking for a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and Googled "good breakfast…read morenear me." This spot came up, and although my wife and I have driven past it many times, we've never stopped in. Today, I decided to finally give it a try. After looking through the Google photos, I changed my mind and ordered a breakfast plate instead of a sandwich. Parking was a little challenging. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and had to circle the block a few times before finding a spot directly in front of the diner. When I walked in, I wasn't sure whether I should seat myself or wait to be seated. All of the waitresses appeared busy, so I stood near the entrance. Once she was available, Marianna greeted me. Initially, I wasn't a fan of being asked whether I was picking up food rather than whether I was dining in or taking out, but I quickly realized they may be accustomed to regular customers who already know the process. Since it was my first visit, I explained that I wasn't sure if I should seat myself. Personally, I think a sign near the entrance would be helpful for first-time guests. Since I was dining alone, I chose a seat at the counter and ordered the Sugar Plum Special with cheese grits and sourdough toast. While waiting for my food, I noticed something that concerned me. The staff did not appear to be wearing gloves, and I observed food being handled after touching various surfaces, including condiments, plates, glasses, and trash areas. While I understand that food service relies heavily on proper handwashing practices, I personally felt uncomfortable watching bread being handled directly by hand. I requested that my toast be handled with a utensil instead, and my request was accommodated without issue. When my food arrived, my eggs were cooked exactly as requested--scrambled hard--and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The bacon was a little saltier than I personally prefer, but that's more about my taste than the preparation. Overall, both items were flavorful. Now, let's talk about the grits. I come from a strong Southern background, and we take our grits seriously. The presentation was fantastic. The butter melting on top and the cheese looked absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the texture wasn't there on the first serving. The grits were noticeably gritty and undercooked. After a couple of bites, I sent them back and requested they be cooked a bit longer. One of the waitresses explained that customers typically need to request the grits "well done." That was surprising to me because I've always believed grits should naturally be cooked until smooth and creamy. In my opinion, that's how they're meant to be served. Thankfully, the second batch was much better. While they still could have been stirred a bit more, the texture improved significantly and was much closer to what I expected. I also want to recognize Marianna for her excellent service. She was accommodating, attentive, and handled my concerns professionally throughout the meal. Overall, I would return. The restaurant has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and an old-school diner feel that is becoming harder to find these days. It reminded me of the kind of place you'd visit after church on a Sunday morning or somewhere you'd go with your grandparents for a comforting home-cooked meal. While there were a few areas that could be improved, the welcoming environment and friendly service left a positive impression on me.
